I love the tower of the hotel, it gives us the view of the entire Florence. We skipped the Duomo since we already have the view of the city. Also the hotel is in the best location!! Our room is on the first floor and we can hear the delivery truck at 6am. It was really noisy and it woke us up. Other than that, I love the hotel.

It got great location that's the only good thing about it It's very old building and not properly renewed Bad smell all over corridors It's like a maze when you want to reach your room .. Narrow corridors narrow doors and nothing look pleasent The room key is old and standard and can open any room The breakfast is bad and breakfast room is small I didn't like my stay and will never go there anymore .. If you are a backpacker may be you will like it

The location is fantastic, right in the centre tucked away in a quiet side road. The building with the historc tower is fantastic. The staff were exceptionally friendly and their restaurant recommendations proved totally reliable. Breakfast very pleasant. Nothing really...unfortunately the tower bar facilities were not open (March with poor weather). Would be a great place for a drink in good weather. Some aspects of the room decor could do with a spruce up. The entrance/reception was receiving a makeover but mattered litte as the staff were extremely helpfull.

Loved the views from the tower and the charm of a 13th century building with its fascinating history and stories. The staff was excellent with helping us book tours, making recommendations for restaurants, sites and activities and they could not have been more welcoming. They were all wonderful. The breakfast was also very good, although for an American was lacking variety. The rooms were very nice and in general comfortable. Only complaints would be that the king size bed is actually just two twin sized mattresses pushed together with a single sheet on top making it somewhat annoying and uncomfortable. I would have liked a shower head in the bathroom with a bit more water pressure.

Location is very central and view from the tower (Torre) is really beautiful! In general I did not liked this hotel since it felt like I am living in a very old fashioned room with "princess beds", every night I had to listed to the noise of nearby market place trailers, who where moved to and from marketplace. I am not happy with the stay, I would not stay there for the 2nd time.

Great location for all attractions within easy walk around the old town. 12th Century building is really interesting and wine and cheese on the roof on NYE was outstanding. Highly recommend.

Location in the very historic city, 10 min walk from the station, 1 min to Uffizi gallery and Ponte Vecchio and other worderful things in Firenze. We stayed for New Year and it was quiet in the room which adds to hotel benefits. It's a palazzo, so the ambience is very historic. Breakfast is nice and is served in a nice place at the 3rd floor. The room was good, rather large for 2 people. In spring they open the bar at the top and it's deffinitely worth climbing there - the view is breath-taking!!! I guess we were lucky with the price as we booked in advance, though generally it's rather costly in high season. Wi-Fi is available only at the 3rd floor. At the booking.com it was said the city tax is 3 euro per person per night though in the hotel they took 4 euro.

Decoration, clean, people, everything with the exception of heat. It seems that in colder temperatures it does not work . . . The heat was poor in the bedroom.

Good central location, building of some character, roof top terrace with fabulous city views, good breakfast choices, very helpful staff Some street noise at night but not excessively so, not sure what the air conditioning arrangements are during summer - would advise checking this out before booking

The staff was amazing! Very helpful, went out of their way many times for us. The breakfast was nice. The views from the rooftop bar were amazing. The WiFi was horrible. It was dark and cold. I prefer more natural light and a more homey feel to the hotels I stay in.

The Hotel Torre Guelfa had a great location, just seconds from the Ponte Vecchio and close to all Florence attractions. The hotel was an easy walk, even with a suitcase of only 800 m and has a great tower bar where in the evening it is great to relax with a wine. Staff very friendly I had booked a standard room for our stay and was disappointed. The room was worn and sadly in need of updating. The overall air of the hotel was a little neglected.

I've been to Hotel Torre Guelfa in 2010 (by mistake actually as the hotel I booked gave our room away, and we were directed here). I loved it so much when my mom wanted to tour Italy I said we had to stay here when in Florence. The 360 deg view from the tower up top is just breathtaking and worth every penny spent at the hotel. A kettle (tea / coffee facility) in the room would be a wonderful addition to the services provided.

Location, location, location! Couldn't ask for a better location--5 min. from the Uffizi, the Ponte Vecchio, near the Piazza Signoria...the rooftop bar is everything that is promised--a splendid view overlooking Florence--the Duomo, the Piazza Signoria--gorgeous! Rooms were great--even though bathrooms were small--but who takes a vacation in their bathroom? Staff was helpful, friendly...etc...can't say enough good things about the hotel! Hotel was great--unfortunately, it was hard to get to by car with all of the one way streets in Florence--even though it was a stone's throw from the Ponte Vecchio--they changed the directions of the streets last year, and most of the maps are older than that! Once we got there, our car was whisked away to a parking garage (E26 per day) and we didn't have to think about it again! Leaving the city was pathetically easy!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Charming but dark hotel. Fabulous location. Easy to get to everything, especially the Ponte Vecchio! Room was small for two single women. We had to wait while they separated the beds. Very dark.

There was nothing not to like about this hotel! The service was impeccable! Every staff member we encountered was friendly and always willing to help. the front desk staff was more than willing to assist with directions, reservations, and other needs. Luigi took time to direct us to many great eateries and other locations. Breakfast staff and room simply charming! Our breakfast "hostess" ( I wish I had asked her her name!) was elegant and charming! We were greeted with a genuine warm smile and kind words each morning. Coffee and breakfast items were delicious, more than adequate and very fresh. Our hotel room was lovely and spacious! Beds were extremely comfortable. Lovely common area/living room. No problems with wi-fi. Location is perfect! Within walking distance of most tourist attractions. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Lovely wine bar with live music right outside the front door. Great little trattoria called Mangiafoco a couple of doors down. One of my favorite features of this hotel was the tower! A 360 degree view of Florence with tables to sit and enjoy some wine before dinner. We absolutely loved everything and everyone we met in the hotel and would love to return as soon as possible! We have already recommended this hotel to many others!
