The staff was friendly and helped us with any questions we had. The hotel has the best views from the top of the tower. See all the sights from the tower. Great old world feeling.

The air conditioning could have been better. We were in a room on the third floor and was warm up there.

The tower patio is the BEST view of Florence available. Location is very central. Our quad room was lovely and spacious. Included breakfast is nice.

It's right beside the Ponte Vechio and Uffizi gallery, which is bang in the centre. Really nice feel to the hotel and the staff gave us some great tips where to eat and drink. Didn't actually try the roof top bar in the hotel. Will do next time. Handy little shop right outside the hotel.

It was a bit noisy in the morning with people dragging luggage around the place. A little bit smelly with the window open and breakfast was average. Overall the positives much outweighed the negatives.

My wife and I went to Florence for our honeymoon and this hotel was highly recommended by our dear friends who stayed there on their honeymoon as well. We had heard of the views from the rooftop patio but when we actually got to see it for ourselves it was breathtaking. You have panoramic views of the Pitti Palace, Duomo di Firenze and italian country side. The breakfast area was lovely and their selection was great. We were upgraded to their only room with a patio and it was absolutely amazing and really made it feel even more like a romantic honeymoon. Ask for room 315! The staff was so wonderful, the hotel had all the necessary amenities and it's location is ideal in relation to all of the major attractions in the area. When we go back, we will stay here again for sure!

We loved the character of this hotel, so unlike a faceless corporate chain. We stayed in room 201 a junior suite and it was plenty big enough for my husband and I plus our 2 teenage children. The building is so elegant and grand and the roof top bar a real treat. Thank you

Excellent Location. Parking was reasonably convenient. Clean.

Because we were on the First Floor we paid an extra 1€ per person city tax. This was not advised when booked or when arriving at the hotel. Our room was a disabled room which was ok but not required.

The view from the top of the tower was stunning. Watching the sun go down and the evening lights come on over the city was fantastic.

Only being able to have one night there as we had to move on the following day.

Amazing location in the heart of Florence within walking distance to all attractions. Rooms were spacious, staff extremely generous and helpful and the view from the tower spectacular.

We had a bit of difficulty locating the hotel as we were driving from Venice (and Florence not being the easiest of cities to drive in) but upon approach the staff arranged for a driver to meet us at a nearby location and he 'chauffeured' us to the front door of the hotel.

Wonderful people at the front desk, excellent room, the tower is a great place for a view, very central location, but still quiet for sleeping. I highly recommend this hotel.

It's very difficult to find your way into this place by car. We eventually gave up and walked our way to the hotel where they sent for a valet service ($25 euros) - well worth just asking for this service before you go because all the traffic restrictions make it too hard to get to yourself. I would still like to visit again, but I would just add the cost of the valet in.

Located a block from Ponte Vecchio, this hotel is a gem. It is in a building dating back over 800 years and boasts the tallest privately owned tower in Florence. You can sit outside at the top and have a drink while soaking in the amazing panoramic views. We loved the breakfast as well. We had a room for four, with one double bed and two twin canopy beds. The room was very large, the A/C worked great, as did the wifi. Bathroom was very clean. Staff was fantastic and extremely helpful. This hotel was referred to us and we are grateful. Couldn't imagine a better hotel for the price...

I left my clothes to be laundered at the front desk on a Sunday. Was told they would go out Monday but the laundry company never picked it up. Finally got my clothes back Tuesday. If this is the worst thing I can say, you can see why we'd stay there again!

Perfect location. Cute little rooms. Nice breakfast. Lounge room just amazing. Very nice and relaxing

No parking. Stuff would take your car and park it at the different location so just make sure to take out everything you might need

Beds were very uncomfortable. We asked to be put in a quiet room and were given a room beside the elevator and next to the dining area where breakfast was being prepared at 6:00 am each morning and served from 7:30 - 10:30.

Location-wise it could not be better. The tower is great indeed.

Bad bad service. We asked for some milk around 9pm and front doorman said it was not possible and we should try to ask in a restaurant in the street - yeah, with a sleepy 2yo child! We arrived for breakfast around 1015h, no plates or cups for us so it took time to get served - a rude waiter comes on 1030h and tell we should leave the table! We knew the buffet was being taken out (although she could have offered another cup of coffee just because this is a hotel and treating guests nicely is to be expected) but to be expelled from your table is not something I ever experienced specially with two kids...Batteries of airco RC were down, asked for replacement but no attention. What about a curtain in the bathroom? Would avoid a flooding every shower you take.

Our family ranked our experiences from a 3-week trip through Italy and our night spent on the tower at Torre Guelfa ranked #1. The staff was helpful, the room was nice for city hotel, and the breakfast was good.

However, we paid more than at any other hotel in Italy. Still maybe worth the view from the tower….
