Everything! This is our fourth stay at Palazzo Alexander and it is my favorite place to stay in Italy. The staff are very warm and helpful, the decor is beautiful, the location inside the walled city is perfect and it is the best value for the money that we have experienced after living in Italy for 3 years. |

Staff pleasant, nice breakfast, relaxed atmosphere Rooms were very clean, but dark and drab fictures and fittings, but this did blend in with the building. But did make the rooms dull and you would not want to spend too much time in the rooms, which is great as Lucca has so much to offer. |

The people who worked at the hotel were very nice. Also, the air conditioning was fantastic. We stayed in the La Traviata room. The bathroom was too small to be comfortable, and the room did not seem overly clean. For example, the soap dish in the shower was full of old soap scum, and the bedding was a bit tired looking. |

Its location and the friendly and very helpful management which made the stay memorable. The position of the hotel within the city walls close to restaurants and the centre making sightseeing very easy and leisurely. it was also very close [5min] to buses for visits to Florence, Pisa and the surrounding countryside. the train station was about 15 minutes walk away. |
