This place it's two blocks from the Duomo and really close to all the main attractions in Florence.
The bathroom was really small but hey in Italy for that rate you can't beat it
Staff were welcoming, helpful and very cheery. Location is superb - restaurants, sights, markets, transport - everything within short walking distance. Hotel has some beautiful furniture and architecture in common rooms. Breakfast also plentiful - even though you may need to wait for a table it is worth it.
Location, breakfast room
The rooms are outdated. Dirty walls in the room. Looks very old. The price we paid is already the rate of a 5 star chain hotel but of course you're not in the center of the san lorenzo market.
Perfect location, short walking distance from the central station and the Dome. Clean and comfortable room. Very effective double panes kept the noise from the busy street out.
No Wifi or even mobile signal in the room, no bathroom ventilation.
Location, staff, breakfast, cleanliness.
Everywhere else I went in Europe I had no problem using Wi-Fi on my iPhone. However, at this hotel the Wi-Fi kept cutting out even on the rare occasions when I could connect. It was the only disappointment.
Location, staff speaks English
Black mould in the shower
So glad we found this hotel. Great location, good facilities, clean, friendly and efficient staff.
the location of the hotel is excellent. The staff very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a bit dated, rooms need renovation. Breakfast of good quality but the selection is limited.
Great location, staff was super helpful and accommodating, double double paned windows to block out noise from busy streets below, enjoyed seeing deep well in lobby too.
Personal preference: to have a softer bed, not use to such a firm mattress.
The location is superb. Elevator is helpful. We loved having a balcony facing an interior courtyard. Wifi was superb. Easy walk to the train station and around the corner from the Duomo and major sites.
Staff wasn't overly friendly and I speak Italian. Room was a bit tired. Our Room we had was a bit cramped otherwise. Would recommend it for those who want a great location.
Front desk staff were friendly and helpful Beautiful carved wood ceiling in breakfast room Excellent breakfast
Poor wifi reception
Proximity to restaurants, the Market, historical sites.
A little overpriced.
Location was great with easy access to train station and many Florence sights.
Wifi was terrible, with spotty service the entire stay. Room was okay, but not sure it was worth the price.
Room was too small and little natural light. It looked into the building next door. There were stains that I could see on the mattress base and the bathroom was tiny.
The location is outstanding. The service I received from everyone at the at hotel was exceptional! Everyone is very willing to help with requests, are professional and friendly. A satisfying breakfast was included. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.
The bed in the single room is very small making it very difficult to get a proper night's rest. Booking a double for single use may work better. Although I mentioned it on check-in, the safe was not repaired for use during my stay. Also, it is too small to hold iPads or laptops which most everyone travels with these days.
Some mosquitoes in room, wi-fi a bit spotty, and could use some updating.
location (close to the train station and the historical center), very friendly staff speaking good English, effective sound insulation, comfortable bed, decent wi-fi
very basic breakfast, small shower, quite expensive
Electricity kept flickering not very friendly staff other than one man who recommended a great restuarant.
Location is excellent, close to train station and city center (54 min. walking)
Small place for shower and unstable wifi connection.
Beautiful restored house--we had a large and comfortable room on the 4th floor with a bonus patio. The staff were friendly and professional. The location was fabulous--20 steps to the Medici Chapels, just a few blocks to the Duomo, the Arno, and the rest of the historic area. I would happily stay here again.
I liked it all.
The location was brilliant! florence is not a big city anyway, but we were at a stone's throw of the Duomo! The staff were also great, super helpful and very very kind - all of them!
The room was a bit dated (very minor thing anyway, since it was impeccable and very spacious). The toilet was a bit strange as it wouldn't flush water on one side, so we ended up having to pour water in it with a bottle in order for paper not to float (only paper though, we didn't have any problems with anything else). Other than that, it was great. After all, this is a 3 star hotel (not 4 or 5), so it did match the expectations
Good helpful friendly staff. Very comfortable single room.
No wifi reception in room
Very helpful staff. Breakfast was abundant and of very high quality. Location is great! Half-way between the Duomo and the main train station. Loved staying there!
very late breakfast 7:30 am
