Beautiful hotel with nice facilities. Great friendly staff. Good breakfast. However, in a horrible neighborhood indeed. Napoli is pretty bad criminality wise, imagine staying in a bad hood. Somebody tried to steel my iphone from my hands right outside the hotel at 7pm at night.

It truly is in the wrong side of town for tourism, walking around the streets close to the hotel did not feel safe at all and the streets of Naples are difficult to navigate at the best of times. Service from the bar and room service was atrocious and the staff were quite rude.

Comfortable well presented hotel. Everything you would need. Staff helpful and friendly, great value for money and near the train station if you're visiting pompeii.

The area really is quite down market. Gangs on streets, Xxx cinema on street, security on door. Wasn't actually unsafe though...

Very clean and really nice rooms that were warm and comfortable. Reception were friendly and knowledgable and professional. Close to the historic city centre and train station. Quiet at night for a good nights sleep

Food was expensive and service wasn't the quickest - but I think that's just naples in general. Often had to ask to be served at the bar.

The immediate neighbourhood isn't the smartest, but the location is very convenient, within a short walk of the old town, central station and the Archaeological Museum. The room was very spacious with high ceilings and a balcony, a very smart bathroom and supremely comfortable beds. At night there was not a sound from inside or outside the hotel, and we slept very well. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Overall, this was exceptional value for money.

The music in the breakfast room - 80s soft rock - was quite loud and intrusive.

Great hotel in centro storico of old Napoli, anyway it is near piazza garibaldi it is safe to be in this hotel.

The rooms are clean and minimalistic. The staff really helpful and pleasant. The breakfast plentifull.

The neighbourhood. Not very safe for walking after the nightfall. And eve close to historic sites, it's a long walk to the center. The hotel doesn't have a garage and there's one approx. 5 min walk away - quite expensive though. The WiFi is not free.

Breakfast content should be improved. Staff in the breakfast launch and bar should be accessible, sometimes you can not find any staff to order hot drinks etc...., they prefer to stay in the kitchen:( Shuttle for the city center should be more frequently since the location is a bit far away from sea side. Room service staff should check for the missing items in the room such as shampoo etc... and complete them without the further request of customer. I have to ask the reception for shampoo etc... for the second day.

1. The location. 2. Safe in room didn't work. However it didn't matter because the staff was excelent and very trustworthy. 3. Both elevators had maintenance alarm sounding, which is not what a guest wants to hear. 4. I had a crack in the wall in my room.

The hotel was a touch of luxury for us. The beds were incredibly comfortable, we had a balcony looking into the courtyard. We had a hallway as well and the bathroom was a good size, well lit, large bath and it had other little extras which were much appreciated.On arrival we were welcomed by friendly staff, given a card for a free drink and an artcard which gave us free admission to 4 galleries, a nice touch. The hotel decor was very modern and bright. Breakfast was varied, mostly continental but scrambled eggs and bacon were available too.

The most positive aspect of our stay at Palazzo Caraccciolo was the staff at the reception. They were able to talk fluent english and fluent french. Unlike Rome, in Naples it's hard to find someone who can really understand what you are askin in English. They helped us about the places we will visit and the restaurants. They let the restaurant knew before we go which was a nice touch thinking that we did not ask for it and the restaurant was a local place that was nearly full.

The only thing that dissapointed me was the fact that even though I reserved our room 3 months beforehand and asked for a room with a terrace and they did not . Our room was looking over to the street, which would have been better if we were staying at another hotel but the palazzo caracciolo had a magnificent interior yard. Overall, when I was booking it said that only some had a terrace so it was not a must for the hotel but 3 months in advance they took the payment, I believe there was for sure vacancy at the ones with terraces.

The hotel itself was fabulous. The proximity to the station was fantastic. Decor gorgeous. Staff obliging.

The area around the hotel is not too salubrious, but I liked the energy of the environment. We thought the tray charge for room service was extortionate! An extra 7 Euros for coffee in the morning we did not like. The shuttle to the castle was great but really should run all weekend.

The hotel is wonderful, a beautiful building set up as a very nice hotel, the room was spacious, comfy, well illuminated, perfect. The location is very good, only 8 block away from the main train station (the streets of Napoli are bumpy though... not easy to walk 8 blocks with bug luggage).

The hotel is really nice and not cheap, so the Internet WiFi should be included on the price of the room.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and bright. The hotel is located in a scruffy area but it is only a short walk to both the central station and the historic part of Naples.The shuttle bus is a very useful free way of getting to the port area of Naples.
