In Venice's Cannaregio district, La Palazzina Veneziana is on Ponte delle Guglie bridge. This private house has a neo-Gothic design and has been converted into a comfortable guesthouse.
Score from 203 reviews Wonderful
This elegant 12th-century building was once home to the Doge Marino Falier. Just 1000 ft from Rialto Bridge, it offers elegant rooms with antique furniture and original paintings.
Score from 434 reviews Excellent
A restored monastery, Hotel Abbazia is in the quiet Cannaregio district of Venice, 300 ft from Santa Lucia Train Station. The hotel features a large courtyard garden with bar.
Score from 1176 reviews Very good
Comfortable room, friendly staff who gave us a lot of suggestions to visit Venice.
No free wifi
The location is close to walk with your luggage from the train station and also to the Boat Bus station on the grand canal. The rooms are quite large with a good bathroom, considering Venice usually tight buildings. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Bed mattress is the orthopedic type that feels too hard. Wish they had a softer top and plush pillows.
+ Great location +Nice view of the canals +Cozy and well decorated +Good price +Very friendly staff
- The beds are absolutely terrible. The bed felt like a stiff spring forest. -Noisy restaurant right next to sleeping rooms. - WiFi is slow and difficult to connect to.
- Very close to the train station and water bus stop - nice decoration, nice view from a canal view room
- took us to a wrong room 1 grade down) and told us that this is what we booked. My mom and aunt had to spend one night in a wrong room. Turns out, it was their mistake. - breakfast can be bit better
Room was warm and cosy, and close to bars and restaurants.
Was alittle noisy at times.
•Great location •Friendly staff •Everyone speaks English •Breakfast a lot better than reviews here had me believe •Great value for money
Great area. Staff really helpful. Breakfast choice was limited but very plentiful. Very easy to get to and from the airport.
Breakfast room a bit of a squeeze.
Close to train station On Cannaregio Canal Balcony (some rooms) Price, for Venice In a local area for the experience, but close to all restaurants and tourist areas
Breakfast room small and crowded, no toaster No heating
Room more like an apartment Balcony overlooking the canal Bottle of wine (nice wine) at arrival Excellent location; near everything but just slightly off the beaten track so not too busy.
Easy walk to the train station. Bar next door was better than in town. Great staff. Ask for food recommendations
Breakfast area is crowded. Eat early.
Beside the hotel is the pub with happy hour which very noisy during the happy hour of the pub. So you want to choose the happy hour drink promotion just next door of the hotel or good hotel in venice. ha ha ha...
Flat walk to the hotel about 10 min from the station, no stairs, located away from the heavy tourist areas. A hotel with personality, quality personnel and a few unexpected extras
No laundry service, having to pay for wifi (E10 for the duration of stay)
Very good Location, nice staff
The hotel was friendly, very helpful receptionists, we had reserved a superior double at the front overlooking the canal and a 4 poster bed which is just what I wanted .......Great view of canal life. Modern bathroom , a safe in room too.Good breakfast, lovely coffee machine . Would stay here again for sure .
Could be slightly noisy from loudish customers in bar next door at night but ear plugs did the trick..
Room was very nice
Noisy from cafe singer ok for a while but was rather prolonged
Location, staff attitude,
Booked superior triple room. But the room was very basic. This is not to be a 3 star by facilities
Facilities, location, breakfast, staff.
Wi-Fi would be nice to have.
The location of the hotel was around a 10 minute walk from the train station, Venezia St Lucia. This walk allows you to take in the initial lustre of Venice, without having to travel too far. Plenty of interesting and wonderful shops and eateries along the way. Great location to start a holiday in Venice, up in one corner allowing for easy planning of walking routes. Recommend taking a water "bus". Fantastic value at €20 for 24 hrs, allowing you to hop on and off all around Venice
We found nothing to be of dissatisfaction. Great location along a peaceful canal, tributing to the grand canal.
Perfect location to walk or take the Valpretto from. Staff were very helpful and patient with all our questions. Breakfast was lovely.
The location is great, fairly short distance from the bus station and very close to the water taxi stop. Friendly staff, nice room, good value for money. On the first night we put a blanket under the pillows as prefer sleeping with our heads a bit higher, the next morning a maid left us some extra pillows without having to ask. Highly recommended.
Room is spacious. The receptionist is very helpful. Location is great.
We were confused to find the hotel when we arrived in the evening. However, it is easy to ask around. Just remind others to travel light in Venice otherwise we have to drag pur luggage or paid expensive water taxi.
Great location, close to train, bus and vapereta station, quiet at night time
Being picky the pillows were a bit flat so we put a spare blanket underneath them to sleep
Nice Location - not far from Rail/Port Friendly Staff Comfortable well appointed room Nice Restaurants nearby Good Breakfast Reasonable Price
Extra charge for Internet City Tax
Very pretty hotel. The room was a bit smaller than others but was very comfortable and clean and had a nice bathroom and shower. Breakfast was great. Right along the canal.
Had to pay for wifi.
Nice clean facility in a quiet yet conveniently located area on the edge of the tourist zone of Venice--restaurants and bars very close by--rooms without balconies are small and undistinguished
