Location was amazing for the price!

Don't sleep with the windows open! Venice mosquites are the devil!

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help at all times of the day. For a small hotel the included breakfast was excellent.

At the time of year we were there air-conditioning was not available. Quite comfortable with windows open but the people traffic noise was disturbing. This is not a complaint about the hotel

The staff was very friendly from the start and all throughout our stay. They helped us with restaurant recommendations and reservations. Our room was very big and comfortable for our family. We'd stay here again when returning to Venice and would recommend others to stay here as well.

We spent beauiful two nights and 3 days in Venice. We get daily fresh fruits in the room. Beautiful

The location, the room, the staff are super! Wi-fi is really free and everywhere, the breakfast quite good.

The taps operation system in the shower is too sophisticated + the rooms in the suite were in different levels and the stairs were not illuminated - the risk to fall down in the dark is rather high.

The staff were all very friendly and professional. We had to extend at the last minute during the Carnivale and were still given a room. The free fruit bowls and champagne was definitely a plus and made our stay feel extra special.

Nothing to complain about at all - the location was fabulous an staff friendly attentive and professional. If I had to make a comment I would mention that the wifi in our room wasn't the fastest but that might just be the number of ppl using the net over the Carnivale period where the rooms were fairly booked out!

Everything was just perfect. The location is marvelous. The hotel is in a very quite place and yet very close to San Marco. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Also the room was superb.

Breakfast is pretty basic, the one you could expect in a two star hotel or B&B.

The hotel was easy to find, just a water taxi ride down the grande canal and into the square. We arrived late at night and were greeted curteously and the room was warm and very comfortable.The bowl of fruit left in the room was all we needed.The next morning breakfast was delicious and served in a small comfortable dining area.We were then issued with wellington boots free of charge as Venice was experiencing the alta acqua, high tides with some flooded areas, so were able to walk around easily.The staff were having to mop out the flooded areas but remained in good humour and were lovely. Room service was exellent and the bathroom was well equipped and all worked well.

wonderful quiet location close to San Marco Square!

wish the breakfast time could start earlier than 7:30 am since we had an early flight and had to leave at 7 am and miss breakfast.

The morning we arrived the extremely high tide flooding the streets on the lagoon. There was two feet of water in San Marcos Square. The staff went out of their way make up our room early and provided us with boots. Even we were only staying one night after a cruise the staffs efforts saved the day and we had a very nice, however wet visit to Venice. The location of the hotel is excellent; a short walking distance to high-end shops, excellent restaurants and San Marco Square. The breakfast had good variety and the quality was very good.

Many Venice hotels disable the air conditioning starting in October so the room was too warm for sleeping. Opening the windows only invited many mosquitoes in. We chose to battle the mosquitoes rather than roasting.

Mostly I liked the hotel. The personnel are very friendly and helpful. Their English is very well, it is important in Italy. They followed our all needs from water taxi to breakfast. Also the breakfast was very well. The location is excellent, 3-4 minutes nice walk to San Marco.

the wifi was not that good kept cutting out,the tv could not find any english channels,no tea making in the room...feel the room was a bit dated and could do with updating a bit for a 4 star hotel..breakfast was the same everyday no toast or hot food...???? not that great

the shower never worked, either too hot or too cold,and the water pressure is very unstable..poor breakfast...old facilities...

Baths were jacuzzi and looked old and unhygienic. Shower was difficult to use either too hot or cold Decor of rooms dated.

We had a wonderful stay in Venice and the location of Palazzo del Giglio was perfect. The staff was friendly, the room was large and very clean. Our room overlooked the piazza.

The location was perfect, the staff was very helpful, the breakfast buffet was wonderful, the suite was very nice.

Don't expect a good breakfast but it's Italian style.. Doesn't matter which hotel you stay in..

The hotel was perfectly situated for a first-time visitor to Venice. The hotel staff was excellent, friendly, and very helpful. We were a five-minute walk to Saint Mark's Square and two minutes to the water taxi/bus. Highly recommend this hotel for those looking to save a bit of money whiile still getting the full Venetian experience.

Hotel location is very good overlooking St. Maria piazza, 5 min. walking from San Marco and next to the hotel is the water taxi station. Room was very comfortable and the hotel staff were very nice and helpful.

Breakfast area is a bit small and the food selection is limited.
