The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located yet quiet. The room was small (we had an economy double) but very comfortable with a good use of space and very nice bathroom. The fruit basket was nice too.
Location and ease of getting around. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Very clean and everything worked.
Room rather small. Our fault but there are bigger rooms available.
Location was great. Breakfast was very good.
No air conditioning in October.
Location of the hotel is excellent. the breakfast is perfect.
Furnature is quite old and the cleaness is not up to 4 star hotels standard. the dining hole is very small. in my opinion this is not a 4 star hotel.
We loved the staff! They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
We loved it all!
This is not a 4 star as they claimed. They have only one receptionist per shift and we have to wait more than 5 minutes to check in while the only receptionist was on the telephone and the que were building up. The breakfast were very limited choices and only 2 hot food (no option). From Hotel to St Marks Square were 15-20 minutes walk not as the hotel claimed. Yeah by waterbus was 6 minutes. We can smell cigarettes smoke in the room. There is a nice hotel right opposite to this hotel which is the great western hotel Ala. So, i will not recommend this hotel
This was a very well located comfortable hotel. The staff were helpful at all times. The breakfast was adequate. it was very close to a stop for the waterbus. All in all great value for money in Venice
It was a nice touch to have a fruit bowl and bottle of sparkling wine upon check in. The included breakfast was more than adequate. The staff was extremely helpful with explaining how to get to different places and the options for getting to the airport.
It was a high step in and out of the tub/shower.
Friendly staff Beautiful room Balcony Location very easy to find Welcome drink - nice touch Fruit basket - replenished Good breakfast Could not fault this hotel
Had an amazing time staying at the Palazzo del Giglio. The location is superb, situated in the fabulous Giglio area and also so close to San Marco's. I had a very good room with two small balconies overlooking the San Giglio piazza below. There were cafés, restaurants and shops nearby and a very short walk from the canal and ferry stop.
There was nothing I didn't like except a request to hand the room key to staff whenever leaving the hotel. I said that I would rather take it with me and was told I "have to". This was unnecessary and a little rude that the receptionist insisted on this when I was clearly not happy with doing so. Other staff were more than helpful, especially very good assistance with taking my luggage to the water taxi upon departure.
We had a lovely, comfortable room and large bathroom with spa, and a bowl of fruit in the room. When we mentioned there were no towels, they delivered big fluffy towels and complimentary champagne. The location was perfect and the staff friendly and helpful. What more could you ask for?
Very expensive hotel. Very old.
Staff, who were all excellent ; location ; breakfast
Lack of good public areas ; sheets & blankets rather then duvet ; very poor lighting in bedroom
Location is fantastic. Close to the Vaporetto stop and S. Marco. The room was spacious but with no view. The lift is a plus, not so often in Venice. Staff very helpful.
The reception is a bit tiny. It is not an imponent 4 stars hotel but, it is clearly above Venice average standarts. Rooms need renovation.
Just 50m from the Alilaguna/vaporetto boat stop and the gondola crossing of the canal. 5 min from San Marco. View of piazza Giglio. Enormous Junior Suite. Pleasant staff.
Wifi in room was weak but OK in lobby. A minor niggle was that despite the well equipped kitchen there were no water glasses in the suite Only hotel I have ever experienced this. A long stemmed wine glass is not suitable to put on the bedside table in the dark.
Pretty big bathroom for Venice. Good location.
WiFi was terrible, carpet looked like 20 years old, breakfasts were poor and while having a breakfast you can't even enjoy the view of the square because of the not very fresh curtains and a piece of paper put on the window saying "not a picnic area" or smith like this. Long story short, It's not a 4 stars hotel, it looks cheap and tired and it doesn't have any Venice atmosphere at all. Last time I visited Venice I stayed in a 3* hotel just across the road and it was at least not worse than this one.
Very good location, excellent service & very clean
Excellent staff. Great location.
Cost of laundry was hideous
great location, friendly staff
There was a spider above the bed and the room was very small
Location was great and staff was very nice
Wifi connection gets cut off when you are not using it but it is alright because you can re-log in. Interior was little bit out of date ;some of the furniture need to be replaced because the couch had few dents and wholes but it was tolerable.
Very comfortable hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast spread, excellent location.
Great location; 5min walk to St Marks, 50m from the water bus/water taxi so no long walks with luggage to the hotel. Room was huge. We had a larger room for 4 adults and the living area had 2 full coaches and a large dining room table. Excellent quality breakfast included. Staff was superb.
Wi-fi was terrible. Some outside noise from the square.
And the breakfast...the best breakfast at Italy for us. Everything was so fresh. The staff were very nice (I think the only place we could say so). They welcome us with a bottle of prosecco!! I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.
Here, we loved everything.
