roomy, well equipped, walking distance from the airport shuttle and main attractions, helpful and friendly staff and there is an elevator
the loft bedroom tended to be too warm, but this is a minor point. there is AC on the main floor
Very helpful staff gave great info about local attractions and excellent restaurant recommendations. Apartment was spacious and well appointed. Very secure.
Sloping roof on loft bedroom meant you occasionally bump your head!
Centrally located. Contemporary design. Spacious. Impeccably maintained and a true commitment to outstanding customer service.
I couldn't find any fault
Perfect location at a very good price. Easy walk to the old parts of town and to great restaurants and cafe's. Highly recommended!
A little noisy in the mornings.
Location and so nice to have clean up room service very day!
Breakfast provisions, location
shower is extremely small, upstairs is a small attic
Great location, friendly staff, nice facilities.
Our apartment was dark, could not see outside. One small window.
The staff were super helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was great and the apartment fantastic with plenty of room. Close to Central palermo and plenty of places to eat and drink near by
No corkscrew or bottle opener in the apartment
Good Daily Servicing of room Good Kitchen Facilities Good Air conditioning Comfortable Bed + Storage Two Bathrooms Very Quiet Ideal location
The shower was too small (male 6ft 2in 16 stone) - had to get out of the shower to fully lather my body for washing Little natural light entering apartment
Central location in Palermo, staff were always very helpful, efficient and very polite. There was also within the local area shops for purchasing food etc suitable for self-catering. We enjoyed our stay very much. The reserved parking for our car worked very well and was worth the additional charge.
Noticed small sign in kitchen wich said if any dishes were left unwashed a fairly. Considerable charge would be payable. Surly this cannot be correct.
The building was not easy to find, but once there it was amazing! Even the smell of the place, so fresh and clean. Staff was very polite and helpful, and when we arrived at our apartment we were shocked by the size. It looks nice on pictures, but not compared to reality. It's huge! Fully equipped kitchen, a large and comfy bed, and just the feeling of walking up the glass stairs to our bedrom - luxury. The location was great, so close to everything, and yet it's a quiet area and it felt very safe. The housekeeping also surprised us, never have we experienced a better cleaning in any hotel/apartment. I wish we could have stayed here forever. For the price of this place, we got 10 times more than expected. We stayed in 18 different hotels/guesthouse's this trip, and Palazzo Gallo was among the cheaper ones, yet no doubt the best.
We had a problem with the electricity the evening before leaving, and it was a bit hard to get hold of the staff, we tried several numbers before getting hold of someone. And the lady at work was dragged out of bed two times because of this, felt sorry for her, yet she was very friendly and helpful. I wish there would have been slightly more light in the living room, other than that all was perfect.
We liked everything about this hotel, the location is very good in the nice part of an old center, very close to the most beautiful and interesting places. It was the best hotel during our Italy trip. The apartment itself was even better than we could imagine. Staff was very helpful also, the manager gave us very good recomendation about the restraunt.
Nothing really. Everything was good.
Great location, comfort, helpfull staff, cleanliness, aircon, safety, breakfast
The showers- the hot water turn into cold in a few minutes. maybe more variety for breakfast ,and enough soap for hand wash
Great 2-level apartments and very friendly manager Mario! Thanks!
The staff was wonderful -- friendly, helpful, efficient. The unit was very well laid out (aside from the bathroom/bedroom split.) Having the sleeping loft made it easy for one person to stay up & read while another was asleep. The room was quiet & the bed very comfortable. You're only half a block from Via Roma, close to public transport & walk to Old City. Very enjoyable stay!
The bathroom & bedroom are on different floors. This is an obvious problem at night, epecially since my wife has arthritis. It's a bit of a hike to most of the old town sights & restaurants. Parking on the street is at least 8-10 Euros a day & driving in town is suicidal -- you're better off without a car!
Good breakfast with fruit and other choices. Free water in room for guests. Staff was very helpful.
Carpet needs major replacement, shower did too. Windows did not completely close. Internet did not work on our floor at all, even after reporting it.
We spent a night here in a transit and was very impressed. We arrived very early but had no issues at all checking in. The room was very spacious, the kitchen and bathrooms were well fitted. The location was fantastic but the double grazed windows worked really well shutting out noise from outside. I would choose this place over most of the hotels in Palermo if I were to go back.
Slight noise from above, found it difficult to control the temperature in the room.
Everything except for the parking
we arranged the parking for our rental car at the hotel and the receptionist confirmed by phone the availability of the above. At the hotel it turned out that there is no parking at the hotel. They found us a paking spot in a private garage nearby, however we had to pay 15 E for the spot plus 15 E for picking the car up during the day, in total 30 E for 16 hours of parking!
Clean, comfortable, spacious, cental location. Great value for money.
- Modern styled rooms - Large and lots of walking space inside the appartment - Stunning views --------------------------------------------- - moderne inrichting - groot en veel bewegingsruimte - schitterend uitzicht
- The bill (invoice) was not automatically given after payment : I had to be ask for it and not yet available even on check-out (after departure received first by email) - The hotel door could be closed within the next day after repair -> Palermo was for us an extra feeling unsafe - Poor bed - Too low plafonhoogte in locker room (less than 175 cm high) ---------------------------------------- - de rekening (faktuur) werd niet automatisch gegeven: er moest om gevraagd worden en zelfs bij vertrek nog niet beschikbaar (eerst per email na afreis gekregen) - de hoteldeur kon pas na reparatie de volgende dag van binnen afgesloten worden --> in Palermo was dat voor ons een extra onveilig gevoel - slecht bed - te lage plafonhoogte in kleedkamer (minder dan 175 cm hoog)
The space and comfort of the apartment were excellent. Very quiet and peaceful. Great central location for exploring the city with good restaurants nearby.
We loved these apartments. They are very spacious - ours also had a small balcony overlooking the street which was interesting for people watching and to get a bit of a feel for the real atmosphere of Palermo. The kitchen is ideal as you have everything you need to cook a meal. The frozen croissant they supply each morning for breakfast are delicious - just pop them into the oven and watch them rise and then eat them with the jams, cheese & ham they supply. The coffee machine also makes good coffee (using capsules supplied each morning). The staff are extremely helpful and answered all our questions. Our apartment had 2 bathrooms - which was ideal.
Just one negative - there were no English channels on the TV. Would be good if they could obtain either the BBC world news channel or CNN.
The location was excellent The staff was friendly and service directed
The view was poor
