Our effusive welcome from Marco enamoured us of Florence immediately. The drive in was quite hairy as the GPs took a hissy fit and we were stranded in the miniature roads/lanes of inner Florence. Our host saw us coming from the wrong direction around the Duomo and had not seen this done before. The Polizia were not impressed either. After this shaky arrival we were immediately at home at Palazzo Gamba and the view from our room was breathtaking. Evening strolls are not a problem, but you will get a little street noise. Though this is a small price to pay for Florence at your finger tips.

The hotel could not be in a better location - directly across the piazza from the Duomo with picture perfect views of the dome. Amazing. Comfortable, quiet, clean and spacious. Plenty of room for us and our two young children. Elevator made it simple to stay on an upper floor. The mini kitchen was perfect for breakfast and dinner since the kids were too tired at night to brave a restaurant. Large windows allowed us to view the piazza at night before going to bed. Wonderful staff especially Marco! He helped us find a store to purchase a car seat for our travels around the country. Wonderful place and would recommend to everyone. Suggestion - no hand towels or sponge to clean dishes in the kitchenette. No washcloths in the bathrooms - but really not a big deal. Doesnt change our view of the property. We still loved it.

Palazzo gambo was fantastic! The location was incredible, just steps from the Duomo. Our apartment had two bedrooms that you could practically touch the Duomo from the windows. All the amenities we could have wanted - nice elevator, spacious rooms, security, wi fi, and wonderful staff. Would definitely stay again!

The apartments were very large and the appointed very well. It was immaculate, modern and the location was incredible! I had made reservations for 2 apartments because we were two couples and one single and when we saw our apartment we could have easily stayed together with lots of private space and great family space. I must also mention the incredible view, we felt like we could touch the Duomo! Marco and Nora at the desk could not have been more helpful...We will always stay at this Palazzo when in Firenze.

One could not fault the Palzzo Gamba. The staff were exceptionally helpful especially Marco. The location is probably the best in Florence overlooking the Duomo.The accommodation was luxurious and spotlessly clean. The kitchen allowed us to prepare food from the market. All the sights were within waling distance including the Train Station. A perfect location for exploring Florence.

Friendly and helpfull staff, great location in the very heart of the historic part of the city. Close to all tourist attractions and shopping streets. Lots of nice restaurants around working till late. You should be ready to wake up a few times during the night because of the energency cars running around with the sirens on terribly loud. Otherwise the location is quiet and safe.

Spectacular - these are beautiful apartments in a perfect location for a trip to Florence. The staff were very helpful. Even though parking is not on site, the hotel arranges for your car to be picked up and dropped off by a garage close by at a reasonable price. We will only stay here if we visit Florence again. Only suggested improvement would be for some more cooking utensils, otherewise perfect.

The location was fantastic, and the apartment was beautifully appointed and spacious and had a fantastic view over the Duomo. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, the noise from the street did disturb our sleep.

Location is good, right next to the duomo, 7 minutes away from smn train station. Good room size, toilets are nice, good for value, free internet, beautiful decoration, very helpful and kind receiption Too close to the duomo so it's getting noisy when the bell rings, there was a very strong strange odour in the entire apartment on the second day, looks like the flushing/toilet ventilation of the building wasn't good. This is the main point to concern

The apartments were in an amzing location next to the cathedral with a fantastic view from the balcony overlooking the main square. The apartments were clean, well presented, well equipped and the staff were very friendly and helpful Very narrow lift which wasn't suitable for a standard sized wheelchair. We had to swap for a narrow wheelchair which was fine

“Our apartment was on the 4th floor and we had a wonderful view of the Piazza della Signoria. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was a nice surprise to find some provisions for our use. The location was exciting and busy - close to the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi and Palazzo Vecchio. The double glazed windows were very welcome at night! The apartment was very comfortable and relaxed - nice to have our own cooking facilities for a few days. It was easy to dash back in the middle of the day for a break from sightseeing.
