Comfortable, friendly staff and great location for the main sites in Venice. Water bus stop right next door.
Room (typical Venice) small, breakfast only ok, bar limited & expensive.
Charming Rustic Decor Superb Location Good Breakfast Excellent room on grand canal Nice expresso bar
The hotel is well situated near the waterbus stop and easy walking distance to San Marco. Our air conditioned room overlooked Gran Canale and was perfect for the Venice experience. The breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful.
Lactation, staff, (free speed boat taxi to murano glass factory) altogether a great experience.
The location was easy to find. The hotel was updated, very comfortable and clean, and the staff were very friendly. We started, and ended our 2 1/2 week vacation there, and each time we returned, we were treated very kindly. The front desk staff were very helpful.
Unfortunately on our very first morning, in Venice, Sun at 7am..., we were fined 52 euros each for not validating our water taxi tickets, that we had already "paid" for. It had nothing to with the hotel, but it was a surprising, uncomfortable experience, that we had no control of. The staff were sympathetic, by I recommend they warn their quests about the water taxi fines. On our next two stays, we were upgraded I would definitely recommend Hotel Palazzo Giovanelli. I just need to mention to make sure you are booked and your payment has been accepted, I witnessed a couple of people who were turned away because their payment was never confirmed.
We were very pleased to check into this hotel. It seemed like we were staying in a castle with all the right upgrades :) location was ideal!
I would recommend paying attention to the hotel location at night because if you wonder off after dinner exploring you will have a tough time finding your way back. Some signs guiding you to the hotel within the surrounding areas woulda been helpful as some I the other hotels had posted on walls of the alleys
Location was just besides the church as you get off at the San Stae station. 10 min walk to Rialto bridge. Rooms were clean and hotel well maintained from inside.
Breakfast very basic....no free wifi
Location of the hotel is great,we had wonderful view from our window to Gran Canal. You can reach Piazza San Marco in 10-15 mins by walking. Breakfast is good with some varieties of prosciutto, cheese, juices, corn flakes and desserts. Its location is very good if you travel by train-FS Santa Lucia is just few stops by ferry.
Wifi is pretty expensive Some of staff is little bit cold with clients
-location is excellent -staff friendly -room was spacious -very clean! -well preserved; nice interiors -breakfast was good -mini bar and goodies available
-although it was claimed sky facility available it didn't work for channels we wanted despite the fact that we were willing to pay extra; so better not to advertise that it works when it does not. -we had to pay for wi-fi and only applicable to one device
Location right by a stop for the Vaparetto with many rooms facing the canal. Small enough for personal service but big enough for top class service.
Location outdoor area Great breakfast
It was the second time we slept directly in Venice. The location of the hotel was great- just 1 minute from vaporetto Station San Stae. You could also reach Rialto in walking distance. The service at the hotel was great. They booked me a Manicure appointment. We had a junior Suite with Canal view. It was wanderful. Old and modern in a great combination. Although directly at the Grand Canal with windows closed it was quite calm! The breakfast was quite nice! We wanna say "thank you" for the great stay!
Architecture and Atmosphere of the building are marvellous. As a pallazi on canal garnde it offers a true Venetian vibe. Furthermore it is easy to reach by public Transport - less than 5 minute walk.
The breakfast buffet was one of the best I ever had in an Italian hotel. Anyhow it does not even come close to other 4 star hotels I visited in other Countries
Excellent location, spacious modern rooms, very clean, very poliet staff
wi-fi poor services in rooms.
We wanted a short stay near San Stae, in comfort. Room 107 is worth the extra cost!
An amazing hotel!! We stayed for 2 nights, we got a free upgrade to one of the hotels top suites that looked over the grand canal. It was the perfect Venice holiday.
The bedrooms were lovely decorated, the staff were really polite and helpful.
The location is around 15 min walk from St Marks Square. Also the breakfast did not have much variety to chose from. This Hotel does not provide evening meals, Breakfast only.
Room was wonderfull.also staff and the breakfast were very good.location perfect.
There was nothing negative.
Beautiful hotel, staff and porter waiting to greet us on arrival. Room on the front of the hotel with grand canal views, magical and very romantic. Breakfast and facilities were all first class. Would definitely go back.
Great room and great location
A robe big enough for an adult male would be nice ...
The location was superb!
-No room service -Breakfast should be upgraded to the level of this fine hotel
Great hotel well located has the water bus stop just to the right of it with easy walking distance with baggage to the hotel. Stunning hotel and well kept. The hotel offer a complimentary water taxi to murano glass will worth the trip.
The treatment of the Hotel staff and the room size provided with accessories.
An excellent hotel. Our room was stunning, service freindly and efficient.Good position in a quiet spot.Very good breakfast.
Standard and average hotel but very expensive compare to what you get
It's 2014 but still no free wifi breakfast is very limited not varieties front desk staff are like a robot
