On the Grand Canal just a few hundred feet from Venice’s Santa Lucia train station, Ca’ Nigra Lagoon Resort is a unique Venetian hotel.

Just 215 yards from Saint Mark's Square, the Ca' dei Conti is an 18th-century Venetian residence, reached by bridge over a small canal. It features a charming roof terrace and elegant rooms.
Score from 291 reviews Very good
location good. Nice breakfast. Breakfast staff efficient. Good cappuccinos. Very friendly bellhop who worked very hard. Water taxi pick up very convenient. Comfortable rooms.
Very indifferent front desk personnel. Not friendly and treated any questions as a distraction from their computer screen. Very poor internet reception anywhere but main lobby and separate fee for such. We have travelled all over Italy and this hotel is the only one that charged for wireless that was generally poor and unusable. We cannot reiterate the lack of congeniality by the reception staff.
Location. Easy to get to from boat. Staff helpful booking restaurants on request. Nice breakfast.
Wifi connection slow
Room changed with no problem. Locality. Professionalism.
Room 502. Charged the same amount for a totally unacceptable room.
Great location. Davide and his colleagues were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast girls are great too. Very clean room and facilities. Stayed in Amadeus suite -- highly recommend. Gorgeous views of canal. Delicious and convenient restaurants in the area. Being right beside the San Stae ferry stop is super convenient too.
This hotel is a treat.. Stunning with a great location away from the teaming masses of San Marco but with in easy walking distance Surrounded by fantastic little restaurants! Would highly recommend!!
Internet not the best in rooms
It was away from the crowds of San Marco area but the advantage of the water bus stop beside hotel made everything accessible. Some good restaurants within walking distance
It would have been convenient if they had a small restaurant in the hotel, even for a light snack with a drink etc.
no enough staff
Great location, very clean with nice reception area. Good choice for breakfast.
Not much storage in the room.
The wonderful location ,the historical building ,the staff
The room was Too small
Great staff, great service, great breakfast. A bit expensive but worth it!
Loved the service they upgraded us with a view of the canal . We give the twice and won't stay any where else it's beautiful . Service is great , breakfast was included . Loved it.
The beds could be softer but that's preference . That's all.
Originally the room didn't match what was promised in the booking. But we were shifted to better room after complain.
At first walking into the hotel i thought i made a mistake, until i walked into my room, it was a palace and very nice. It is worth it to anyone to upgrade to the suite with grand canal view, its the nicest room i stayed in on my travels all through Italy.
I paid $800 per night for the room and to not come with wifi was something unheard of. They charge you $10 per device per day, and the connection in the rooms is lousy, i had to stand against far wall for signal. They should upgrade that. Also the coffee they serve for breakfast was burned to an uneatable amount, the bread is hard as a rock and makes croutons jealous.
Very close to the metro station
Far from the center of the activities (san marcos)
good location very quiet breakfast is included room was clean friendly and helpful staff
very expensive no water provided in room extortionate mini bar
This hotel greatly exceeded my expectation and my expect ions were high! The room was magnificent with an unbelievable view of the Grand Canal ant the St. Stae Church. Access was a breeze by ACTV boat vapporetto!
Comfortable, friendly staff and great location for the main sites in Venice. Water bus stop right next door.
Room (typical Venice) small, breakfast only ok, bar limited & expensive.
Big room with high ceiling and exposed wooden beams. We stayed in a suite so it was nice and airy.
the location is off the main area. at night scary alleys to walk through. No bell boy help with luggage from boat, they keep looking at you.
Location ...sufficiently close to the tourist area but in a quiet area on the grande canal. Good reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Arriving by water taxi mooring at front door.
The staff. In general it was not very welcoming.....hardly a smile. The exception was the receptionist on the day of our arrival. No porterage! Rooms a liitle on e small size And no restuarant in hotel.
The location is on the grand canal but not in the hustle and bustle of the tourist area. Only a short walk to key attractions and smaller neighbourhood restaurants. The ferry stop is next door also (and this hotel has its own jetty for direct water taxi access too). We booked a canal view room. It was gorgeous and overlooked the square and church also. We're glad we splurged for the upgrade. The rooms were lovely, modern and clean; the bathroom was large. Free wi-fi was expected but but still appreciated - thank you! The staff were helpful and courteous.
Breakfast was below average, but we didn't come to Italy for this. And I think we were charged 6 euro each for two small cokes from the mini bar. No big deal, but I'm mentioning it because it stuck in my head as a little unnecessarily high - I don't think an extra 2 euro per coke is paying anyone's wage or the electricity bill.
Charming Rustic Decor Superb Location Good Breakfast Excellent room on grand canal Nice expresso bar
we can see the sunset in the hotel.
rooms are little small.
The hotel is well situated near the waterbus stop and easy walking distance to San Marco. Our air conditioned room overlooked Gran Canale and was perfect for the Venice experience. The breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful.
Lactation, staff, (free speed boat taxi to murano glass factory) altogether a great experience.
