Location, roof top pool and patio, staff was terrific especially the pool/ bar guy Antonio. Rooms were good size, breakfast was really good, lots of food, we couldn't have chosen a better place to end our trip
Wifi was terrible
Amazing location, friendly staff and lovely bedroom. Wholeheartedly recommend.
The location was excellent and easy to get to from the train station. The size of the room was adequate and beautiful old design.
Poor lighting in the bathroom. That you had to pay for wifi.
The front desk person Marco was a great resource and very helpful. The room was quaint and out of the way. We needed to walk outside to get to it, but we had our own outdoor space. Quite lovely
The iPad needed a booster forthe connection but the staff provided one once we asked what was wrong.
The location was good allowing us to travel easily by train, bus and boat
Asking for hot water for tea in the morning, a hot water machine would be much easier and more economical
Great location in the center of Sorrento. The staff was extremely helpful especially Antonio who helped carry our luggage 3 blocks! The rooftop pool and bar were wonderful and a great escape from bustling Sorrento.
Our first room was on the 1st floor and extremely noisy and dark. We moved to the 2nd floor and everything improved. I would advise anyone staying here to be careful where their room is located. The rooms could use a little updating.
The location couldn't be better, right off the main square. Beautiful facilities and room. Rooftop bar and pool with amazing views. Breakfast is very nice and the old man serving is a true original, expect songs and Italian humour..
They charge 10 euro per day for wifi, plus you need to login with a different code on each device. On top of this the wifi was super slow or didn't work. I do not understand why they annoy their customers with this issue.. Other hotels we went to all had free wifi and it worked much better.
Loved everything about Palazzo Guardati a hidden treasure. Comfortable, safe, friendly home away from home. Clean, comfortable room, delicious breakfast room complete with a very helpful staff (we call him the Breakfast Man*:) within walking distance of everything even the port...hope to return to this wonderful part of the world & will definately stay at Palazzo Guardati*:) Thank you for making our visit even more special*:)
There is nothing I did not like everything was Perfect !!! *:)
Staff always tried hard to help. Rooms were light and airy. Location excellent.
Lack of onsite parking. no convenient place to drop off luggage. Noisy lift (but room changed when we asked).
Central location, small but clean and comfortable room.
Breakfast, cheap ingredients spoilt this meal.
Staff were friendly and room was lovely. The roof was very nice to relax on at end of busy day. Overall very nice.
Paying for wifi is a bit unreasonable these days. Bar on roof good idea but perhaps later on could move to lounge? Somewhere to relax before / after dinner.
Buffet, quality of place, ripple
Nice quiet hotel, good location and the roof top terrace is an excellent facility with great views (quiet you forget you are in the town centre). Special mention to the gentlemen who looks after the roof top terrace who is friendly, helpful and looks after you. rooms are clean and comfortable with a nice marble bathroom. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento.
The room was excellent, and the bar and pool area on the roof was a welcome relief at the end of hot day seeing the sights.
The breakfast is very poor - a small room with a large tv blaring, and low quality fruit juices and jams/conserves. A tinned fruit salad and not fresh despite access to plentiful fresh fruit. There are too few tables and chairs for the number of guests.
Antonio the waiter (on the roof terrace) was very helpful, recommending places to eat and visit. He was friendly without being too intrusive. The view from the terrace was amazing and the comfortable sun lounges were brilliant to take time out from the hustle and bustle on. The waiter in the breakfast room was funny and well worth a mention! Our room was spacious and the bed was huge and comfy. Would recommend this small intimate (29 rooms) hotel :)
We have racked our brains and cannot think of any negatives!
The hotel is right off the square down a quiet street. Lovely people and room would recommend to anyone
There was nothing I didn't like
location layout terraces
only thing was no free wifi
We had a lovely time in Sorrento and a big part of this is finding a hotel that felt like home whilst we were there. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very friendly. A big mention has to go to the Pool attendant (small pool on the rooftop) He was so attentive and conscientious. Constantly checking the area was clean and tidy and serving drinks with a smile. The hotel is bang in the hub of Sorrento but just far enough from the square not to have your sleep disturbed. A mention to the Manager also. He dealt with my minor complaint to my satisfaction very speedily. A great place to stay if you want to be in the centre of the town.
I did not like the charges for internet and complained about it but this was dealt with efficiently and effectively which I appreciated. I think the hotel charges enough to stay to not include internet. Our room was comfortable, clean and interesting with it's painted shabby chic furniture but I think the colours were a bit dank and needed a lift.
This was our second visit to Sorrento and to Hotel Palazzo Guardati and we were just as happy as the first time. The location is excellent for us right in the centre of Sorrento down a lovely Italian street. The staff are all lovely, especially Antonio who works on the rooftop bar. The hotel is very clean and welcoming. Couldn't fault this hotel.
Location, friendly staff.
I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. Everything was perfect and above expectations. I would reccomend itto anyone.
What was there not to like!!
Can not think of any !!
Staff Location Situation Helfulness Great Breakfast
