A lovely old palazzo in the heart of Modica, technically a B&B but feels like a small hotel. A very different place to stay, full of character but skilfully adapted by the owners to provide modern facilities whilst retaining the charm and heritage of a terrific old building. And a cracking, and very reasonably priced, little osteria fifty metres across the road. Lovely, friendly and incredibly helpful owners who made us feel very much at home. A really nice, and unusual, place to stay. Being in the heart of the town, it is busy and finding a parking space may be tricky at times, but we were lucky. I suspect that the rooms fronting the courtyard, like ours, may be quieter than those overlooking Corso Umberto and San Georgio

The family owned B&B was lovely. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We were given a map and suggested places to visit. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and there was loads of choice. The B&B was charming and a great location to explore Modica with free parking nearby.

Comfortable historic building, beautifully decorated, run by a lovely family. Nice breakfast, great spot in the centre of Modica, not too far from the bus station. Very quiet. Shower a little small, but would definitely stay there again.

I booked this b&b 3 days before my arrival, quite in a rush, as the hostel in another town where I wish to stay suddenly told me it was not available. I was worried about the booking but heard from the sales manager on the night to confirm my booking, which was such a relief. The b&b is on the second floor of a house located on the main road in Modica which is just a 2-minute's walk from the bus stop. The room I booked is a single room with comfy double bed and ensite bathroom. The house is by the main road but it is not noisy inside. The house was decorated in italian style and I was very impressed by the elegant living room. It was quite an enjoyment to have breakfasst there every morning, not to mention the variety of food provided. The family running the b&b lives the opposite to the side where the guests live, so it is easy to get help whenever you need help. Their hospitality is definitely one of the things that can bring me back. Wifi available in the living room but may not be accessible in the rooms (at least not in my room at the far end of the corridor). But it is not a bother at all to stay in the louge and meet and talk to other guests.

We both loved our stay Palazzo Il Cavaliere We were in Modica at the Palazzo for 2 nights,We were warmly welcomed by the family owners I parked the small car easy right outside. Entering the Palazzo is a bit like being in the Classic film Il Gattopardo, beautiful elegant and charming, the room was part of the plazzo with TV and shower with a very nice comfortble bed the great choice breakfast was served in the Gran Saloon with the best coissants I`ve had the pleasure of scoffing! with a wonderful veiw of the St George Dumo and Modica from the breakfast room. It is just at the start or the finish depending on how you enter Modica on the main road so easy to find. We were given a local map and told of many places to vist and advised of more pleasant return route .

We had a charming stay. The guest house is run by a delightful and very friendly family who made us feel very welcome. It really felt like we were getting a truly authentic, Sicilian experience...you even got Modican chocolates left on your pillow! The hotel itself is very regal and romantic with a stunning view of San Giorgio from the dining room balcony. The lovation is perfect; on the main street close to bars and restaurants with free parking very close by.

Beautiful building that almost takes you back in time. Very warm, friendly welcome and ready to help. Room was a substantial size and comfortable, we loved the addition of locally produced chocolate 'tasters' included with the toiletries and towels, a nice delicious surprise. Great location, centre of town, but not noisy. Breakfast was good, varied choice and set until 10am. Would stay here in this family run b&b again!

the hostess was very kind to us giving us directions to visit the city and recommendations of good places to eat. The place is charming and you really get the idea that you are sleeping in a Palazzo. Big rooms and bathroom, nicely decorated. There's a little box with two chocolates from Bonajuto to welcome you at the room. Little details like those make your trips sweeter :) The location is great in the middle of the city of Modica. Breakfast was ok. No elevator in the building, but I guess that's part of going to a Palazzo.

Just one night but a very memorable one. As well as the very generous hospitality we enjoyed meeting the delightful family surrounded by older family portraits, frescos and charming antique furniture. Breakfast was more than we could possibly eat in a lovely homely environment. Also very comfortable beds. The perfect end to a weeks' cookery course with lovesicily.com in Modica.
