Palazzo Paruta  

Very nice room, and very good bathroom overall, beautiful inner garden and breakfast area. Helpful and friendly staff. Decent location, but not a killer one.

We came back to the hotel a little late (9 pm) and the doors were closed. We rang the bell several times but we still had to wait in the winters cold (around 0ºC) for almos 20 minutes until the desk guy decided to show up. He made excuses about some repair he HAD to do, but we still were frozen.

Stunning interior, central location, quiet backwater, small friendly boutique hotel, excellent breakfast, friendly attentive staff, complimentary tea and cake in the afternoon.

There is no hotel bar although they do have mini bars in the rooms.

We were celebrating a special occasion and the staff went all out to ensure that we had a memorable and enjoyable trip. Wonderful venetian designed furniture throughout the hotel. Great staff who are always willing to help and they were all polite, professional and discreet. Amazing breakfast in particular the flambe!! We would definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and family.

No kettle for use in the room for your own tea/coffee but this is compensated for by the complimentary tea, coffee and italian biscuits/cake which is provided for daily in the tea room between 4- 5.30pm.

The hotel is located on a quite square. Near by there are restaurants and shops. It is also very close to San Marco, the gran canale and many other point of interest. The Green Room and The Red Room in which breakfast and afternoon tea are served respectively are furnished in Venetian Style and are comfortable and well appointed. There is also a nice internal court yard where one can sit and relax. This hotel compares very well with other venetians hotel of the same category. During the night the door is closed and the night porter will let you in as well as assisting with late checks in. The staff on front desk, bell- boy, night porter and the breakfast room are all very pleasant and willing to assist you.

The royal suite Paruta in which we stayed is a very large and charming room but it is not as attractive as in the pictures. At 06:30 the kitchen extractor is switch on and if you are a light sleeper it could be a bother. Never the less we still had an enjoyable stay.

There is a reason why an hotel is topping the reviews scores in booking.com, and in this case the reason must lie with the quality of the hotel's staff. We were totally astonished by the kindness and professionality of the staff, and when they upgraded us at no cost after having remarked that the (otherwise nice) room in which we were accomodated didn't have real external windows, we understood that we were in one of those special places where extraordinary treatment is an everyday experience. Such experience starts early in the morning, with the breakfast which is served by a small 2-person team which look and indeed are in love with their work and make all guest feel as if they are long-time customers. It continues in every instance with the constant support provided by the reception staff, so helpful in replying to every request. The hotel benefits from a wonderful location, 5 mins walk from S. Marco square and few hundred mts from the closest vaporetto stop. It is wonderfully decorated and really has that special feeling which makes you think you are living a dream.

The first double room in which we were accommodated only had windows on a narrow internal air vent, and felt a bit oppressive, but I guess it is normal in Venice. The bathroom also did not have sufficient space to arrange the normal personal items out of the washingbag.

very small room - one may call it very compact:-) yet I should have known about it when booking this hotel the shower cabin in my room was in an inappropriate condition, which caused quite a lot of troubles - I wonder if the staff could have fixed it before the guest came

funitures are delicacy, staff at reception are nice. good location, just 5 minites to St. Marco Square by walk.

The facility has been restructured very well, in collaboration with the Venice Culture and Arts Comitee and preserves perfectly l'aura of. A private house of a rich Venetian family. The location is marvellous as it is central but not touristic. It is near the Teatro La Fenice, situated on the romantic Campo St.Angelo. The staFf is full of good will and very nice.

The minibar is not very filled and the practical things as carta igienica and saponi/shampoo will not satisfy clients who travel a lot for business and are used to 4star hotels of the big 9haines. There is no additional room check before night.

A genuine palazzo - excellent location and helpful staff with the advantage of being in the most beautiful city in the world

The hotel with it's courtyard and beautifully furnished room was lovely. The breakfast provided was fabulous with personalized preparation by the staff.

A detailed map of the hotel area with directions to the hotel from the Vaporetto stop would have been helpful for the first visit.
