staff were polite and helpfull

room was not as discribed paid £300 per night to be in a hot small loft room with no accessible view unless you stood on the bath ! air con didnt work the photo on the internet made me believe i was going to give my wife a luxury birthday treat the room was a complete letdown

Very close to San Marco square and quite comfortable; friendly staff.

First room had only a bath and it was hard to stand up to get in and out of the bath; the bath was under a sloped ceiling.

difficult access to hotel from the Grand Canal ; ok if you only have a weekend bag

This hotel is in an excellent central location within an easy( and always fascinating) walk of St Marks Square, The Accademia, good restaurants in Dorsudora, The Rialto Bridge, Grand Canal, and masses more! It is a delightful place to stay, with extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful and charming staff throughout. Our superior double room( 102) was extremely comfortable, quiet, and with a large marble bathroom and brilliant shower, all very luxurious. The courtyard is a beautiful and peaceful haven to relax between bouts of sightseeing, and we loved the complimentary afternoon tea taken in the elegant salon or on a pleasant balcony overlooking the courtyard. The breakfast in the charming traditional dining room is a huge treat, with a wide range of delicious foods and also pancakes made to order. We had crepes suzettes!!! We loved staying here and would definitely stay here again. We thought it was very good value compared with other hotels of this quality. We felt that the management really care about their guests. Highly recommended.

A very minor point and all a matter of taste, but we personally thought that some of the bright modern paintings on display in the public areas were out of character with the traditional charm, grace and tranquility that this hotel does so well.

What a fantastic trip we have just had. I surprised my wife as it was our official first anniversary (we got married on 29 Feb 2008) and what city was more romantic than Venice. The hotel was luxurious and the staff so friendly. We were upgraded and were put in a junior suite. The room was delightful. It was so big, we had a bedroom, living area and upstairs to a balcony area where we could watch the world go by. I would definitely recommend Palazzo Paruta to my friends and family.

Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff

Finding it was difficult, but that isn't too unusual in Venice and a bit difficult with luggage over bridges, but that's Venice

The hotel is located on a quite square. Near by there are restaurants and shops. It is also very close to San Marco, the gran canale and many other point of interest. The Green Room and The Red Room in which breakfast and afternoon tea are served respectively are furnished in Venetian Style and are comfortable and well appointed. There is also a nice internal court yard where one can sit and relax. This hotel compares very well with other venetians hotel of the same category. During the night the door is closed and the night porter will let you in as well as assisting with late checks in. The staff on front desk, bell- boy, night porter and the breakfast room are all very pleasant and willing to assist you.

The royal suite Paruta in which we stayed is a very large and charming room but it is not as attractive as in the pictures. At 06:30 the kitchen extractor is switch on and if you are a light sleeper it could be a bother. Never the less we still had an enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel Palazzo Paruta immensely. The staff of the hotel were really hospitable and helpful in every way. There are few hotels I have been to where you are offered some service even when you don't ask for it. Thank you very much!!!! I would definetely recommend your hotel to all my friends and colleagues. Special thanks to the day staff)))))

breakfast

The breakfast was great, and so was the staff. We stayed in the junior suite with a canal view (we decided to upgrade) and the room was extremely luxurious. The hotel had a very romantic feel, and was about a 3-5 minute walk from Sant Angelo vaporetto stop. Venice is very small and you can easily walk to San Marco in 5 minutes.

While generally clean, the cleaner missed a piece of gum that was stuck to one of the rugs near the bed, which was a little unpleasant.
