We were checked into a room with a strong paint smell but the matter was rectified promptly. The bar staff member was quite rude and didn't seem interested in serving us. However, the rest of the staff were great and helped us enjoy our stay.
Overall the staff are helpful, amazing location, high quality rooms, and high end luxury.

Rooms and bathrooms on the small side. Wifi unreliable in the room.
Great location, exceptionally helpful staff, good selection and service for breakfast, free afternoon tea. Comfortable, quiet rooms.

Great staff. Very good breakfast. Good location as well. Staff even sent us sunglasses we forgot in the room.
February 28, 2015
Breakfast ok, just a continental. We had to wait until 3 to check into our room when it should have been ready at 2. No real reason was offered as to why we were delayed.. but overall, a really nice hotel and a good stay.
Comfortable bed and quiet room with lovely decor. Very good location, just a 10 min walk to Rialto bridge and St Marks square and easy enough to get to surrounding areas.

Hotel expensive for what it is The room - an executive suite in our case - did not correspond to the photos of the room when the reservation was made Insufficient wifi coverage in room No service in the 'afternoon tea' room, and no supplements Telephone charger cablel forgotten in room was 'pocketed' by hotel staff
Hotel only 200 m from pier Sant' Angelo Well situated

Smallest room that i have ever seen. Its not a 4 star hotel. Too cold, air conditioner wasnt working.
Breakfast was almost on a 4 star hotel level. The staf supporting breakfast was perfect.

Hotel was beautiful, clean and very well located. Staff very friendly. Breakfast had a very good selection.

Beautifully decorated deluxe room and very helpful staff

Only bad experience was the free wifi was quite slow or sometimes didn't work at all. There's only 5 channels, in different languages that play the news, so i would suggest taking an ipad if you want to watch something, but this wasn't too much of a big deal as we just read a book before bed.
Free upgrade to a bigger room with our very own private terrace <3 all the staff were absolutely lovely, especially Andre who would go that extra mile for you. The decor of the room was beautiful, the bed was so comfy had a perfect sleep every night. Free breakfast was a selection of hot and cold- waffles, crepes, eggs, yoghurts and cereal. Free afternoon tea was the cherry on top, but make sure you put your name down for it in the morning otherwise you can't have it as they can only accommodate a small portion of people because the room they serve it in only has a few tables. Hotel has perfect venetian decor, in a fantastic area, once you grasp your whereabouts you'll find it dead easy to navigate to all the attractions. Would also recommend the private transfer to the hotel from the airport, great experience, stress free, arrive in style. Thank you so much for making our trip special. Martina & Roag x

No shampoo, no conditioner, just a liquid soap! The room is too tiny - about 7 sq.meters! The price is too expensive for that.
Good central location, clean hotel.

The room we were first assigned to was quite small! We paid to upgrade to a slightly larger room. The hotel was happy to accommodate.
Charming hotel with a wonderful breakfast! Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful to help is make sightseeing plans and restaurant reservations. The location was very quiet and not a bad walking distance from major areas like St Marks Piazza and the Rialto Bridge. Would definitely stay again!

An upgraded room to include 'view of the internal courtyard' is not worth the price. The very glamorous courtyard that visitors see when they walk into the lobby is not the one you get. Instead we received a view of a very small courtyard which was not the type that anyone would ever walk or sit in.
The room was decorated as beautifully as the site's images had shown, and so too was the rest of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly so made the stay extremely comfortable.

Wi-Fi - no access 2 days out of 3 TV - did not pick up any channels
Décor, Cosy, Staff, Afternoon tea, nice lounge, Bed very comfortable, warm, central location, quiet, reasonable prices

The room was very small with hardly any space to move around. We didnt like that there were no tea and coffee facilities in a room. A room was unbearably cold and we couldnt increase a temperature due to the automatic setting.
The location of the hotel is excellent within its close proximity to the San Marco square and the Rialto bridge.

Standard rooms are VERY small with very little hanging space for clothes, small bathrooms, no tea and coffee making facilities. First floor ones also get a lot of kitchen noise. We moved to 4th floor room which was quieter. If you can afford to upgrade do, otherwise prepare yourself so you are not as disappointed as we were on arrival! Afternoon tea room is grand but tea not up to much - tea is getting your own bag and filling the cup from a urn which also deposits limescale powder in the cup, food is breakfast leftovers (cooked mushrooms in the sandwiches one day1) and same cakes which you see at breakfast.
Location is great - 10 mins walk from St Mark's Square, and a couple of mins walk from both Angelo and Accademia stops for the No1 and No2 which will take you everywhere you need. But also quietly situated on a small canal. Public rooms are grand. Staff good.
November 5, 2014
Lack of facilities in the room - spare plug and only 2 coffee and milk was provided so had to keep asking reception for more and only then were given 2 more
The setting, location and overall ambience

Nothing, everything was great
Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and afternoon tea was a lovely touch. We had a beautiful Venetian room over looking the court yard. Near enough to walk to main attractions, but far enough away for a peaceful nights sleep. A truly wonderful stay.

Fantastic suite, staff and facilities. Would highly recommend to stay at this beautiful hotel. Thank you our stay on Venice was magical !
October 24, 2014
Room was hot, up 3 flights of stairs and I had to make numerous requests for them to sort out the aircon- they eventually did to their credit. Room a bit small and not very convenient with two large suitcases.
The best breakfast of our entire trip! Receptionist was very helpful guiding us to a local restaurant and giving advice and arranging a water taxi for our departure. Nice and central within easy walking distance of St Mark's Square

If you are not prepared it will be hard to find the hotel at the first time. Booking com guidance (pushed to as in email one day before arrival) to the hotel from St. Angelo pier saved us from trouble finding it. Most of the staff was very friendly indeed, some not very. Asking a deposit of 10 euro for the room second key was a little bit a surprise...
Great location. We stayed 4 persons at the canal view suite. It was very specious and nice. Very good breakfast. Complementary afternoon tea was nice as well.
October 6, 2014
the staff is very welcoming and helpfull and customer aware, the room and bathroom clean and very well furnished in a true venitian style Breakfast is excellent and well provided, coffee is made according to your taste the hotel is very close to vaporetto stops (5 mns walk) and there are many restaurants, bars and shops within 2/3 mns walk the staff is clearly there to make your stay the best experience in Venice a few issues with the AC but quickly fixed

Wi fi kept disconnecting and decor in rooms need updating.
The location and helpful staff made our stay very pleasant. We appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities in our room. Breakfast was top notch! Also, we enjoyed lunch, the service and afternoon tea. The antiquity of the building was charming.

Breakfast was excellent as was the waiter. The staff at reception were very helpful
September 29, 2014
A relatively small, but very nice hotel. The staff is very service minded and friendly, room service arrives very quickly. Good breakfast. All requests are handled fast and professionally. Good location, beware water taxi often can't get to the hotel because of the tides. The hotel is highly recommended.
