Location is great - 10 mins walk from St Mark's Square, and a couple of mins walk from both Angelo and Accademia stops for the No1 and No2 which will take you everywhere you need. But also quietly situated on a small canal. Public rooms are grand. Staff good.
Standard rooms are VERY small with very little hanging space for clothes, small bathrooms, no tea and coffee making facilities. First floor ones also get a lot of kitchen noise. We moved to 4th floor room which was quieter. If you can afford to upgrade do, otherwise prepare yourself so you are not as disappointed as we were on arrival! Afternoon tea room is grand but tea not up to much - tea is getting your own bag and filling the cup from a urn which also deposits limescale powder in the cup, food is breakfast leftovers (cooked mushrooms in the sandwiches one day1) and same cakes which you see at breakfast.
The setting, location and overall ambience
Lack of facilities in the room - spare plug and only 2 coffee and milk was provided so had to keep asking reception for more and only then were given 2 more
Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and afternoon tea was a lovely touch. We had a beautiful Venetian room over looking the court yard. Near enough to walk to main attractions, but far enough away for a peaceful nights sleep. A truly wonderful stay.
Nothing, everything was great
Fantastic suite, staff and facilities. Would highly recommend to stay at this beautiful hotel. Thank you our stay on Venice was magical !
The best breakfast of our entire trip! Receptionist was very helpful guiding us to a local restaurant and giving advice and arranging a water taxi for our departure. Nice and central within easy walking distance of St Mark's Square
Room was hot, up 3 flights of stairs and I had to make numerous requests for them to sort out the aircon- they eventually did to their credit. Room a bit small and not very convenient with two large suitcases.
Great location. We stayed 4 persons at the canal view suite. It was very specious and nice. Very good breakfast. Complementary afternoon tea was nice as well.
If you are not prepared it will be hard to find the hotel at the first time. Booking com guidance (pushed to as in email one day before arrival) to the hotel from St. Angelo pier saved us from trouble finding it. Most of the staff was very friendly indeed, some not very. Asking a deposit of 10 euro for the room second key was a little bit a surprise...
the staff is very welcoming and helpfull and customer aware, the room and bathroom clean and very well furnished in a true venitian style Breakfast is excellent and well provided, coffee is made according to your taste the hotel is very close to vaporetto stops (5 mns walk) and there are many restaurants, bars and shops within 2/3 mns walk the staff is clearly there to make your stay the best experience in Venice a few issues with the AC but quickly fixed
The location and helpful staff made our stay very pleasant. We appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities in our room. Breakfast was top notch! Also, we enjoyed lunch, the service and afternoon tea. The antiquity of the building was charming.
Wi fi kept disconnecting and decor in rooms need updating.
Breakfast was excellent as was the waiter. The staff at reception were very helpful
A relatively small, but very nice hotel. The staff is very service minded and friendly, room service arrives very quickly. Good breakfast. All requests are handled fast and professionally. Good location, beware water taxi often can't get to the hotel because of the tides. The hotel is highly recommended.
Character of the Hotel Afternoon Tea Good breakfast Bathrooms were excellent
cramped rooms some over done
Upgraded for one night as our holiday was to celebrate our Silver Wedding which was a lovely surprise and felt very pampered!

Great location, fabulous decor, lovely staff
WiFi was not accessible throughout the hotel
Palazzo Paruta was a beautiful hotel. The breakfast and the afternoon tea were spectacular. A beautiful abundance of food and fresh local fruits was a wonderful surprise. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Venice. The room was spacious and the bathroom just as comfortable. A huge thank you to the Palazzo Paruta staff (especially Nicole & Phillipe) and to bookings. Com for offering such a wonderful fine hotel.
The age and the furnishing of the hotel. Our room was beautiful. Our request for single beds was granted and although we didn't ask for a room easy to access (two elderly ladies finishing a long cruise), they gave us a ground floor room. The free and delicious afternoon tea and the large array of breakfast goodies.
We could see in the photos of the hotel that the access was tricky ( lots of steps over a canal bridge, ) so we left our large cases at the airport in left luggage. This would not be a problem for younger stronger people.
Loved the decor of our room! Very large size for Venice. Large confortable bed with firm mattress. Hotel service was very good with a nice breakfast. Easy 5 minute walk to St. Mark square. Very Elegant romantic small hotel with wonderful decor.
The room was very warm could not get air condition down in the room. Called desk to get more, but still could not get them to bring the air down. They controll the air thru out the hotel. Taking your luggage up and down 2 bridges is not fun.
Altogheter it was more or less a pleasant stay, they offered us a bottle of champagne on our wedding anniversary.
The Wi-Fi did not work at the room, complained several times to the reception and it was suggested it was my device that was defective, they didn't bother to find what the problem was, together we had a laptop, 5 mobile phones and an ipad and the internet did not work in any of them. This caused some disruption as we had to use roaming 4G to assess the internet that costed us a fortune. The hotel is very difficult to find. The majority of the staff is not friendly.
What was not to like! Great location, great staff and room was fantastic. Thanks to the gentleman who made the crepes for my wife and kids for breakfast!
Nothing to say!
The hotel was fabulous with large comfy bed overlooking courtyard. Very helpful staff. My daughter and I loved our stay. We left hotel by water taxi, a truly magical end to our visit. We would book again.
It would have been great to have English speaking tv or some music! Not that I am complaining.
Palazzo Paruta is in a good location to walk to the tourist hotspots. The staff are great, the rooms clean & comfortable & the breakfast yummy. We paid more for a suite & it was well worth the upgrade!!!!
Situated in great central area. Great room. Wifi good.
Drag bags to and from dock. No boat access.
Breakfast selections were varied.
Internet worked only if we stood in the hallway outside our room. Location requires transporting suitcases over two stair step bridges.
The hotel is really good. There's even a free tea service at mid afternoon.
Hotel is almost hidden. Really hard to find. Room was a bit minute.
Beautifully tasteful features - an oasis of calm in a very busy Venice. The courtyard was especially peaceful.
Nothing...but my elderly mother travelled with us, and she is disabled. Although she had a disability - access/ friendly room; there is a somewhat steep bridge (with high steps) to overcome to actually access the property. I think tho should be made more clear at booking stage
