Perfect position to visit Vesuvius. My room had a lovely view of the coast. Hi spec room. I appreciated the onsite parking as touring in my car. I was cooked a lovely meal for dinner and had a lovely breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view of the volcano. The staff were kind and helpful.
Great view of the bay and the volcano. Spacious well furnished bedroom. Nice breaks.
It is little off the beaten track and although the hotel price was good, the food in the restaurant was quite expensive.
Busy narrow roads outside not ideal for walking
Amazing views of Vesuvius and Capri, close to Vesuvius and Pompeii for siteseeing, comfortable beds, very clean and well kept, friendly staff.
A wedding was taking place in the hotel which made us feel a bit uncomfortable and out of place. When there's an event on, the pool area is out of bounds between 1 and 3pm. The area around the hotel isn't too good and there's nothing around apart from the hotel.
Bedroom. View on Vesuvio
Breakfast is OK but not exceptional. Diner was all right, but quite expensive.
Staff extremely helpful Giovanni and gal at the front desk one above and beyond to cater to us - our room had a double-sided balcony with a view of the sea and hillside - we love the location because we had a car it was centrally located between Napoli, Sorrento, Pompeli, Positano, & the Amalfi Coast
The only downside is our room never had the proper water pressure for the shower and we kept complaining to management
The hotel has an atmosphere of welcome. The staff are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are tasteful and comfortable resulting in a pleasant stay.
The main problem is not in the control of the hotel - specifically Italian TV does not appear to transmit in dual so that e.g. interesting documentaries can only be viewed dubbed into Italian - very frustrating. The only other difficulty is the hotel is a little out of the way so a car is an excellent idea.
The view and the garden.
Very nice hotel. Great staff, especially Giovanni Outdoor area is beautiful Great views
The staff are excellent, they pick you up form the local train station and drop you off whether you are going to sorrento, Pompeii or back to the airport. The manager is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, always so friendly and warm. It is a short train ride from the beautiful sorrento or the ruins of Pompeii. We stayed in room "de fillipo " and had lovely views of beesu bias and of the sea. All in all it was a wonderful experience and for the price one of the best hotels I've stayed at , 9.5/10
Walk to the shop was down a busy back road with little pavement, but not the hotels fault that Italians are awful drivers. Also food a bit pricey
Very nice hotel with great rooms, nice garden and swimming pool.
Lack of choice of food and wines on Dinner Menu - far too limited. We were the only people who stayed for dinner! Only a few people staying there even in Mid August. Given lack of reasonable hotels in this direct area they should promote the hotel more.
Close to good restaurants. Clean environment. Nice pool. Friendly staff.
Pool hours are limited.
The place is fine but there are hundreds of better hotels and better locations around the coast-- even for one night - close to the airport without being an airport hotel
- unfinished hotel - deserted area - location besides view with little or no interest
Great hotel with helpful staff.
the fabulous views, the friendliness of the staff, the amenities, the availability of free and safe parking The rooms were ok too, but perhaps a little 'tired' - especially the bathrooms.
1. Restaurant food ( other than breakfast which was o.k.) was not as expected - quite mediocre in quality and quantity and expensive for what you received. There was a poor choice of dishes, - especially nothing available or appealing for children 2. Location - we felt quite isolated and couldn't have managed without a car, without which we would have been especially frustrated as we would have had to rely on the hotel restaurant as our only option for an evening meal.
Spacious rooms with amazing views of The Bay of Naples, Capri and Vesuvius. Lovely pool area and plenty of parking. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. It was good value and located in a quiet, green location away for the chaos of other local areas.
Lack of eating options in local area.
Great facilities, excellent staff
Location was very nice, but difficult to drive to (roads are very narrow)
Friendly staff. Near the volcano Vizuvy. Good breakfast. Delicious cuisine at the hotel.
The hotel regularly held events like wedding or a birthday, because of this very noisy until late at night.
Excellent hotel for rest with car, but it is near the train station so you can go everywhere by train. Friendly staff can speak English and one woman can speak Russian. They can organize your transfer to the station or Vesuvius. Very delicious breakfast: berries, cornflakes, toasts with jam or Nutella, pies, cheese and ham, eggs etc. You can swim in the pool if you want. And you can have a dinner in the restaurant.
Geovanni , Matre' De - was a great help and full of info. Owner very friendly and helpful. A genuine bloke. Receptionist always smiling and friendly Good for touring the area - car essential
Noisey because it's all marble and hard surfaces- beautiful but no noise absorption. No proper bar scene but that is typical of hotels like this.
I liked this Hotel. it was located in quiet location between mount vesuvius and Pompei. The room i recieved was big with a balcony with a great view of nature outside. I also liked the breakfast and the price of the room.
The hotel was located at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius with sweeping views of The Bay of Naples. The rooms were luxurious packed with high end amenities. The bathroom had heated floors and was stocked with everything a traveler could ever need. We ate breakfast with Mt. Vesuvius as our backdrop. Absolutely stunning! The staff were helpful and very friendly especially since we couldn't speak Italian. We felt as if we were royally staying in such elaborate surroundings. The price we paid for our room ($84 US dollars all fees included) was well below the amount we would pay for a chain hotel in the US. We rented a car so the free parking was a plus for us!
The only negative was that the hotel was a little hard to get to. We had directions but arriving past dark made for some tricky driving. However, when we left in the morning we realized that it wasn't as difficult as we thought. Another first for us was that upon check-in we were asked to leave our passports. This had never occurred before so I wanted an explanation but never received one. We were able to take our passports with us and present them in the morning at chek out. Several days later at another hotel we were asked the same thing and they explained to us that it's for security reasons and to make sure you pay for the room.
Nice hotel, everything as on pictures, nice view, friendly staff. Close to Pompei, Erculano, Vesuv, but only by car.
The breakfast can be a little more variable. The evening parties for outsider guests sometimes are too loud, better to separate them more, for quiet of hotel guests.
The hotel is located on the slope of Vesuvius, which makes for a great view. This also means that getting to Naples or Pompei is easy (although having a car is advisable). The rooms are beautifully decorated and the breakfast is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful (be sure to ask advice if you want to visit the volcano). I have really nothing bad to say about the place.
