Palazzo San Lorenzo is in the medieval village of Colle di Val d'Elsa. It offers rooms with modern-style décor, 32” LCD TV and hydro-massage bathtub or shower. The spacious rooms come with free Wi-Fi, free mineral water in the minibar, and air conditioning. They have parquet floors and marble bathrooms. The elegant San Lorenzo palace dates back to the 17th century. Public spaces are decorated with statues and crystal chandeliers. Covered by a glass ceiling, the central court has lots of natural light. A buffet breakfast is served here. The hotel’s restaurant serves Tuscan dishes. San Gimignano and Siena are less than 30 minute drive away. Florence is 28 miles away. Hotel Rooms: 48

Rooms are newly furnished. We actually wanted to stay in Siena but could not find a hotel room that looked new and clean at same price range. Then Collle Val d'Elsa, the location of the hotel is a pleasant surprise.

Location perhaps is what attracts me most about this hotel. Siena is15 min near if you traveling by car, Florence is about 30-40min, San Gimignano old medieval town and beautiful landscapes of Tuscany surround you and welcomes you. Rooms are supper wide and spacious, great bathroom with a modern Euro showers. Interior rooms tastefully and modally decorated with warm collaboration of pastel colors. Never had a chance to experience hotel restaurant because they are closed during the winter season and reopen first weeks of March. My recommendation is to visit restaurant nearby “Ristor’Arte” and you will meet the owners Giovanni and Patricia. They will make your time memorable. The food is great and around 5-15 Euros, ask for Albanian chief in the kitchen to suprice you. Spa and wellness center in hotel is comfortable and clean. Parking is near and free in off season time. No kids allowed in the Spa, wellness and swimming pool. Surprisingly the hotel will charge you 20 Euro for itch and every visit to Wellness center, even if it’s for 1 or 3 hours stay in Sauna or Pool. breakfast is pour and not worth of your effort to get up in the morning service personal is luck of kindness and smile. If you’d like to stay in this hotel, please request the brightest room of all, because they have only few of them available on the second floor. View with shadow and streets falls on other units.

A lovely hotel set in a beautiful location.... It was quiet and the view was great... The rooms were always clean.... The staff did not have name tags.. The receptionist on duty when we arrived was dishevelled and untidy.. We were not greeted by our names.. We were not advised on any local hotspots and restaurants..

I loved the location, the cleanliness and standard of the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. It was great that they had put effort into detail and took care of all our needs. Even the breakfast was enjoyable and the food very fresh. Will recommend this hotel to others. Thank you again!

The modern look and feel and cleanliness Location and view. Room looked into windows of another building across the street. Finding it was tricky and finding a spot to stop long enough to unload bags even trickier. They should have a big sign over door announcing who they are and how to get their help with bags and how to find parking.

Good price and good location to Siena without being in the thick of tourism. The hotel is lovely, comfy and spotless, with a superb breakfast buffet. There's a great restaurant right across the street (Officina della Cucina Popolare) that we went to two evenings running.

Excellent, 8.6

“This was a true little gem of a hotel and village that is not on any of the main tourist routes. Radda had been suggested to us by a friend and I think that it is a truly great little place that offers something a little different to the rest of the popular Tuscan spots. It is a superb relaxing little town where you can spend time doing some wine tasting or just admiring the great views. The hotel room was excellent and probably the best one that we stayed in during our two week stay in Italy. It had a great window overlooking the tiny little square below. You can also park you car in the public parking for the town for free. It a superb relaxing little town and worth a one night stay on your way through Tuscany. For what we paid it was excellent value for money” Mark, Rondebosch |
