We liked its location. The room's decor needed to be updated. For a four star hotel black mold on bathtub caulking is inexcusable. No room around sink to place anything. Breakfast mediocre. This hotel does not deserve a four star rating.

In all, the hotel is quite good, quite comfortable. The main advantage - relatively low price. For this price the quality of service is not bad. Very impersonal. An old building was transformed from the inside in a modern style and completely devoid of character and soul. I saw a lot of modern hotels in historic buildings, preserved though the style and character, or acquired new and unique. But not this one. We arrived at 5 pm, a spa pool worked up to six, we wanted to relax in it after a day's sightseeing, but could not - the lock in our room was broken and lost time while waiting for its repair. Why not make spa zone and pool available around the clock, or at least until 9 pm? The hotel restaurant was not working. At the reception we were advised restaurant nearby, but was not offered to book, and when we came there, there was not a single free table. Wandered in search of another restaurant, found nothing, were to return to the hotel, only than the reception employee booked us a table at the restaurant, we did not reach 500 meters to it while searching. Generally the hotel is located in the town, where almost nothing, a life in which freezes very early in the evening, and the main evening entertainment will be walking through the deserted streets. Breakfast was okay, but too soulless and uninteresting, in a crowded room and with synthetic disposable wipes. The feeling that the hotel is economizing. Choose another.

This hotel is in a very central location for visiting Tuscany. It is not as touristy as other locales. Therefore of you need respite from the crowds in Florence,Rome or San Gimigiano this is the perfect place. Very picturesque. Hotel is located in the ancient hilltop town just inside magnificent entry. Arnolfo, an award winning restaurant is a pleasant walk away. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion don't miss Arnolfo. Also. San Gimigano is quite close. Florence is close- everywhere seemed to be less than an hour away. Hotel is quite stark. Many travelers commented on this but we weren't quite prepared for no dressers or drawer space. Other guests had raving reviews of desk staff- to us they were ok and a bit standoffish. Breakfast staff was wonderful

Clean and quite. Polite staff. If you drive don't come. There is no hotel parking area and the parking is on the street where the town presented my vehicle with a 40 Euro ticket for allegedly parking so as to block a phantom vehicle, go figure. The vehicle was properly parked to boot. Imagine a parking ticket in Italy? So be forewarned!!!!!!

Nice location, fairly close to all the major cities and Tuscany’s attractions. Nice big room, comfort bed and great breakfast. This hotel has the worst free WI-FI connection system I have ever used. And I’ve used a lot. At check-in, you will receive a username and password for each of your devices. So far so good. The thing is: each and every time your device will be woken from lock-mode / standby mode / screen lock – you will have to re-enter the user and password.. And it takes long time to connect. And it won’t save them. It is frustrating, trust me.

Colle di Val D'Elsa and Palazzo San Lorenzo was the perfect choices for exploring Tuscany. The location of the hotel is excellent, room is modern and beautiful, bathroom is big nice and functional. Breakfast is good, with free italian espressos or cappucinos. We celebrated our anniversary therefore I asked for a room with a view and they upgraded our room for free. Very kind gesture which we appreciated very much. You won't be disappointed with this hotel for sure. The breakfast can be a bit repetitive if you stay for a longer period.

Palazzo San Lorenzo is exactly what you see in the photos online. The rooms are very comfortable, and they are impeccably clean. The hotel is bigger than we anticipated, it's very modern and almost brand new. There was free parking close to the hotel. It was very close to Florence by car. The only downfall is that the actual town is very quiet, something that my husband didn't like. We would most definitely recommend this hotel, and would very likely stay there again. No complaints!!

Great location in the old part of town. very friendly staff. Unbelievable they can make something this modern inside such an old building. Still do not understand how a hotel can close its sertvices like restaurant one day a week! We loved the place and can recommend it highly.
