friendly staff great location décor and opulent room we got upgraded for free (....!!) to a junior suite They organised a complimentary watertaxi visit to Murano
not much to say that was wrong with the place!!
A superb bijou hotel. My sister and I enjoyed our stay. The Hotel was a perfect situation on the Canal but very quiet. EXCELLENT !!
The Palazzo Sant'Angelo captures all the romanticism of Venice. The room was well appointed, clean and spacious, and the private pier makes arrival and departure very convenient for the traveler. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding. A superb hospitality facility.
The hotel front desk recommended two restaurants for dinners which were both excellent! A Beccafico and Chips at Cipirani hotel.
The front desk helped to book a trip to Murano ducale glass factory. The private boat was free but the factory staff was quite a hard sell which made us embarrassing. Obviously the hotel had a deal with the ducal factory to sent over customers. The breakfast was too simple.
stay a couple of days and get the chance to be part of the dream
The rooms were lovely and the staff was very nice and helpful. Was very convenient for all of our transportation needs as the hotel had a private dock
Not much. I would definitely stay here again. I've been to Venice before and stayed just off San Marco Square. This hotel was a bit quieter and was a much needed respite from the crowds we encountered on our previous trip.
1. Staff- Marco and Lamberto were terrific: very service oriented 2. Location- a great central location in Venice
Price a little steep, but for being on Grand Canal and room balconies opening on the canal, it was well worth it to us.
Spacious room, even though small, it was arranged well. . It had a nice walk-in closet area, beautiful decorations, jetted bath tub and beautiful view out windows to courtyard below.
Wonderful situation; friendly and accommodating hotel staff; we take away very happy memories of a wonderful holiday in Venice. We highly recommend the hotel.
Easy walking to the main St Marks square etc. but away from the bustle
Vaporetto stop just outside where turning takes place through the night, however the shutters on the windows meant that we were not unduly affected by this.
Internet was poor and the beds were not quite soft enough.
Quality of accommodation, professionalism and friendliness of staff, location.
Limited food menu in the Hotel.
The location is excellent. Having your own pier for taxi was very nice.
I liked it all
The location of the hotel on the grand canal was great. We had a room overlooking the canal. The staff were very friendly & happy to help.
Great wifi and close to train
Beautiful room, well in style with the atmosphere in Venice. Canal view was magnificent! Great selection at breakfast. Great staff.
The closest Public water taxi port did not have a ticket counter.
Very comfortable and spacious Junior Suite. Staff was very attentive. Excellent location on the Grand Canal.
Fantastic location. Great view over the canal. Also liked the small tables to sit outside and watch the traffic on the Grand Canal go by. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Room (Junior Suite) very spacious.
Snack from the bar was over priced and not very enjoyable.
Location Staff Room Character
Helpfulness and courtesy of staff at all levels. English speaking. Good choice of food for breakfast. Closeness of vaperetto stop made transfers easy.
No coffee or tea-making facilities in rooms. Charges for WIfI
Palazzo Sant’Angelo is a small friendly hotel where it’s difficult not to become friends with the staff. Although located in the crowded sestiere San Marco, it is well off the beaten path between the Piazza and the Rialto bridge and subsequently gets little foot traffic. But it’s just a short walk to the Piazza, Rialto, Accademia or jump on the vaporetto just off the front door and be in Dorsoduro and away from the crowds in one stop. There is a private boat dock for the taxi to take you to dinner or a short walk to Campo Sant’Angelo and Campo Santo Stefano with plenty of non-touristy places to eat. If you can, pay the extra for the canal balcony suite as it is well worth the money. The front desk took care of our many demands and requirements for the cost of a polite grazie. I can’t name a single reason why I wouldn’t stay here again. On a two-week, five-city holiday, Palazzo Sant’Angelo was the best hotel of several that we have highly rated.
- Great location, just right off the San Angelo ferry stop, so no need to carry luggages around - Friendly and helpful staff
- Smelly toilet even unused. Drainage needs improvement
Reception Staff were very helpful ,our Suite was lovely with a great view, enjoyed the room's amenities …even good wifi !! The breakfast was excellent .
Fantastic place, everything was amazing about it.
For the expensive price, I think they still try to get too much out of you. Example: pay for wifi or $5 for a bottle water. It is something petty, I know, but our other hotels we stayed in (in the same price range) offered much more for your dollar. This still would not have turned me away from the place as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
