What more can one say? This was my third successive stay at Hotel Palazzo Stern within the last three years and when I make a return visit to Venice I will certainly be back here again. The homely yet luxurious atmosphere of this palazzo hotel is a delight on the visual senses. There is a huge terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. The staff are helpful and welcoming. The location is perfect being adjacent to the Rezzonico waterbus stop. Situated in The Dorsodoro district, the hotel is in within walking distance of the major art galleries like the Academia, Guggenheim and Ca’ Rezzonico and amidst good local restaurants. A wonderful stay and hugely recommended.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the area was terrific for restaurants, right on the canal, the hotel was romantic and exquittly restored. Erica in charge of the bar was great and made our evenings a lot of fun.

Location, views, patio for breakfast All was nicely done and outfitted, but little worked. The water pressure in the shower was very low; the hot water erratic in availability; there was a leak from the floor above (which was not a floor with rooms); the wireless service was so slow that it was not able to be used in a room as everything timed out, even in the business center the service barely functioned; the staff very polite and gracious but got little done. Even the recommendations for restaurants were poor, little more than pointing to paid ads in their brochure.

A beautiful luxury hotel right on the Grand Canal but convenient to other parts of Venice as it is right next to a water bus stop. Our room with canal view was huge and very nicely appointed. The great breakfast buffet made for a good start to the day especially when enjoyed on the canal side terrace. The location is in a less busy area; more of a residential part of the city so we enjoyed being among the ordinary people of Vicenza. As convenient as the hotel is, the water bus stopping next door was a bit noisy.

Walking the back streets of Venice and stopping at the many shops and eateries. Sitting on the terrace for breakfast and late afternoon drinks looking out over the Grand Canal. Shower water pressure was too low.

It is the best location for Venice, Italy, because the public boat bus stop is in front of the hotel. ( I put it as business purpose. ) It is also nice View, and great breakfast. -- Romance/honeymoon purpose. The hotel was marked as 4 stars, but it can be 5 stars.

Lovely location and superb building. Friendly staff who were always there to help. A superb experience. Nothing of any significance - bath water not always that hot but did not detract from a wonderful stay.

In a perfect location on the Grand Canal with a vaporetto stop right outside the front door. Great restaurants just a short walk away. Beautifully appointed rooms. Very clean and modern bathroom. Excellent breakfast included in price. Wonderful bar/cocktail lounge. Great outdoor terrace overlooking the canal but too cold in November to sit outside.

This was our third visit to the hotel -the same week including our wedding anniversary of 1 December for the last three years. Once again we marvelled at its beautiful restoration, lovely location on the grand canal close to the Ca'Rezzonico and its convenientNo1 line vaparetto stop.Even in December it was possible to finish breakfast(a wide choice) with coffee on the terrace -but obviously this cannot be guaranteed all the time at this time of year! We had no complaints. We did have a temporary problem with the extractor fan in our bathroom, but were immediately offered an upgrade to another room. In fact the problem proved to be only an intermittent malfunction( to be fully rectified as we left) and we happily stayed put in what we had come to regard as 'our room' over the three visits.

Location, friendly staff, Once I stayed in the Suite room, however I do not like it. W asked the reception to change the other room, they told "just only" talk with booking.com first. we have been communicated with booking.com so many times. eventually, we have been change the room as Junior Suite. This communication method has been disappointed by us.... Petty complaint, some facility such coffee machine, lighting, has not been worked well. Hotel should be checked from time to time in order to keep the confortable stay by the beneficialies. Kind regards,

The location of this hotel is superb and is within walking distance of St.Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. If you don't want to walk the vaporetto stop is at the side of the hotel but. Is not intrusive or noisy. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the hotel is really comfortable. There are a number of restaurants close by. Altogether a superb hotel in a geat location.

This is a small luxury hotel of the highest quality. We particularly liked being welcomed at the hotel's landing pier with a drink! The room was enormous, with stunning views of the Grand Canal. Lovely bathroom and superb, almost silent, air-conditioning. Lovely decor everywhere. It really is only 10 yards from the vaporetto stop, which means that everywhere is within easy reach. One can also walk to some very pretty, uncrowded squares with cafes. Breakfast very varied and served with a smile. We can't wait to go back. The very smallest quibble. In the bathroom, one has to hold the shower attachment,as there is no hook on the wall, so that one cannot stand under it. But, a very small point.

Our room was fabulous. It was huge and luxurious with chandeliers, beautiful drapes, and an ornate antique carved bed headboard. The bed was enormous and the bathroom was modern and beautiful. It was spotlessly clean and the air conditioning was very efficient and quiet. This hotel was originally a palace and had some amazing decorations in the hall areas. The hotel also has a beaurtiful terrace right on the grand canal The breakfast buffet was quite basic and the drinks at the hotel bar were very expensive.
