Palazzo Talamo

Close proximity to the centre of town and bus stops to and from Sorrento. Excellent Service.

Poor hot water system in bathroom. Leaking system/flooding onto foor. Needed to change rooms late into the evening.

Positano is a very hilly town and Palazzo Talamo is a bit of a climb from the town, however, it is well worth the trek. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend to my family and friends. All rooms have terraces overlooking the sea. The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly.

The hotel was in a central location in Positano. Small and family hotel with kind and helpfull staff. The brakfast was good and most important the from the balcony the view was very beautiful.

You have to add an extra 20 euro per day for parking.

Although we booked a smaller room, we still had a lovely view from our balcony and the room was a perfect size for 2. The breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful.

Positano is on a steep hill, served by a west to east looping one-way road off the main coast road (no parking at the hotel, 20 euros/day valet). Reception for this hotel has very friendly and helpful staff and is conveniently on the road (no traffic noise in the rooms) and is is relatively central, with steep paths leading to the main parts of the town.

We loved our stay at Palazzo Talamo. Our room was lovely and clean and had a terrace which beautiful views overlooking the sea. The service at the hotel was fantastic and the hotel staff were extremely helpful. The hotel is in a great location although there are a lot of steps to be climbed to get to the hotel (around 350).

This hotel is amazing!! The Palazzo Talamo more than exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal since each room overlooks the sea and the Spaggia Grande (the major beach in Positano). Our terrace not only had a grand view of the sea but of the town. The hotel has a charming old quality about it, but at the same time updated and new. The establishment is spotless.

The property was very nice; great location and great views of the sea. The hotel staff execellent and very professional. They were very helpful in the planning my activities and making reservations. I highly recommend this property.

Deck overlooking the sea was a favourite with us. The staff at the reception were always very helpful with restaurants to go to; buses to catch and walks to try. Breakfasts were ideal.

When we were leaving at 8 o'clock in the morning there was no staff at reception. We tried calling and ringing but nobody turned up. We then went to the breakfast room and found a guy who was setting up for breakfast - he then had to go to a room and wake up the overnight reception lady (!), who then - half asleep - checked us out in slow-motion. This was a bit unprofessional.

Location wise, the hotel is very good, it's just under halfway up the town and has steps down to the harbour right outside its door. The room was extremely clean and the views from the balcony are spectacular. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was decent, although the homemade pastries served with it were fantastic. For the price, I would definitely recommend this hotel to any
