Was a really sleeping in a room larger than the first floor of my own large home? Gilded furniture! A piano as "decoration." Everything thoughtful but magical. This is not the way we live but why not have a fantasy of being a noble in a century long past while being treated so well by the lovely couple. We loved the entire property, their hospitality, the breakfast that was divine. The town is small and sweet, near the sea. What a blast to be there!
A hidden jem,superb
Beautiful place, great pool and gardens
Although the nesting barn owls were beautiful, they were very noisy at night!
The location was good for visiting the beaches and sights of Salento, but staying away from the crowded coastal area. The breakfast in the courtyard, the swimming pool and the unexpected aperitivo and end of season party were very good.
Despite the warm welcome by our hosts we felt the actual room let the Palazzo Vecchio down. It was on a busy street, with traffic running constantly over a manhole cover, it was very humid (my clothes and leather bag were damp and clammy) with no air-conditioning, fan or de-humidifier, no sitting area in the room as advertised on booking.com and more expensive than a room 3x the size with air-conditioning. We were told that we had failed to take advantage of their seasonal discounts whereas we had never known about them in the first place!
The kindness of the hosts The parking inside the hotel The swimming pool The potential of the place The aperitivo near the swimming pool The calm place
Beautiful building with potential. Hostess trying to improve the hotel.
Tiny bathroom with plastic bag stuffed in a hole in the wall. Broken shower. Very dark bedroom. General feeling of neglect.
A rare opportunity to experience the grandeur of a XVIth Century Palazzo. The friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts made our visit a joy
