A phone in the room might be useful

From the first moment the in residence Michelin Star Chef smiled down at us as we ascended the lift to reception. All staff were warm, caring, friendly and helpful. We were well looked after and the atmoshere of the hotel was wonderful. This establishment is a real gem tucked away in a fabulous setting in a charming village.

Having to leave ....

Lovely hotel run by generous, kind Italian family with concern for their guests. Wait staff for meals spoke English, served us exceptionally well. Food was delicious, both for breakfast (included in room cost) and for the gourmet Italian dinners specializing in the coastal seafood and regional game specialties. Off season, so hotel wasn't busy, easy to get dinner reservations. The fishing town of Noli was also pretty quiet, shopping a bust, but lots of eye candy, history with the lovely ocean right outside our balcony window high up on the hillside.

Hotel difficult to find. Discovered the sign with no apparent hotel attached, and couldn't readily figure out that you had to take a special tram accessed from a public parking lot up to the main lobby with a transfer halfway up to a standard elevator. Button pushing and finally speaking with the hotel lobby helped to guide us better and we all laughed in the end. Once figured out, no problem at all. Glad there wasn't a lot of traffic to deal with, only gentle rain, as the hotel sits on the hillside and sort of drips off the side of that hill toward the ocean. Our main floor room was a little noisy. Restaurant was right across from us. You could hear the general noise of doors opening, closing, things being shuttled around, etc. Otherwise, lovely room. Bed a little creaky, pillows a bit stiff, but added character to the mood of being in an old Italian bishop's palazzo.

Charming owner/manager couple help make your stay a real pleasure. The boss himself had to come all the way to the road entrance on foot as weather had affected the hillside lift. (My impression was that he was a lowly member of staff, so humble was he). Nothing too much trouble for this very original establishment, a place making clever use of the original features of this thick-walled bishops' palace/castle. Grand style but informal and friendly. Excellent breakfast, complete with delicious home-made breads and jams. Beautiful views over the sea and town from the terraces. Wonderfully quiet. Yes, the shower cubicles are standard size, but the bathrooms are also a wonder of design in this building, and could not be larger. But ours was spotless and well equipped.

Maybe the heaters in the room, which we could never get to function properly.

It's quirkiness, ie, lifts to get to hotel, old fashioned style.

Nothing what we did not like..

The Bkshop's Palace in Noli has been beautifully restored and converted to a lovely hotel. If you like culture, history, authenricity and superb food wrapped in a feeling of warmth and superb service, this is the place for you. It is perched above the Noli medieval town center and the waterfront with sweeping views from it's terraces, seaview rooms and restaurant. We enjoyed our two level suite, nice furnishings and bath, which included a 14th C. fresco on it's wall. The king sized bed was very comfortable. We had a fantastic seafood dinner in their Michelin star restaurant Il Vescovado. Kindness was shown to us by all of the staff. Il Vescovile is a luxury property with very reasonable prices, a great value. You cannot drive directly to the hotel. You pull into a parking area by their well marked elevator and ring the buzzer. Staff will come down to get your luggage and also will take you to their private parking lot. Ride the elevator up to the funicular and you'll be taken up to this fabulous hotel overlooking tne Mediterranean

Our stay was the best hotel experience we have ever had. Room 13 was elegant , spacious on 2 floors, steeped in history with fantastic views . The room had immediate access to a large veranda with views of the bay. A sun trap . a real must we would love to stay agin.

Everything was absolutely perfect. A very nice place and a superb location. The hotel restaurant (one star Michelin) is also quite good.

Everything; it was superb!

We found this delightful Hotel by accident and it proved to be everything we could have wished for in order to have a relaxing and romantic weekend. The owners and staff were very welcoming and charming and looked after our every want. The food in the restaurant was excellent; we had the tasting menu with the wines and it was worth every penny. Our room, a split level suite, was superb, tastefully decorated and well equipped, and we had a spectacular view over the town and beach. Noli itself is the essence of the Italian Riviera. A fantastic hotel if you want to spoil yourself and your loved one.

La nostra prima volta al Vescovado: hotel di sapore, antico palazzo vescovile, l'atmosfera è rimasta con qualche aggiustamento moderno (riscaldamento e condizionatore, wi-fi, ascensore esterno, ecc). Non direi di lusso ma molto di sapore, con una bellissima vista su Noli ed una bella terrazza. Comodo, pulito, ci è molto piaciuta la cortesia del personale e della famiglia proprietaria, ci siamo sentiti veramente a nostro agio. Non abbiamo cenato questa volta ma abbiamo goduto della prima colazione all'esterno con vista sul mare... Da ritornare! Buona colazione, niente brioche ma torte e biscotti...

Niente da segnalare: accettato che si è in un palazzo che ha qualche secolo di vita, anche qualche piccola scomodità passa in secondo piano !

Ho soggiornato in questa residenza in occasione del mio anniversario di matrimonio. Sia io che a moglie (era una sorpresa) ne siamo rimasti entusiasti. Ci è piaciuto tutto, dalla posizione fantastica sul mare, il luogo così pieno di storia e finemente ristrutturato, l'ambiente e le persone estremamente cordiali, discrete e professionali. Ho avuto la possibilità anche di cenare presso il ristorante ed è stata la ciliegina sulla torta. Posto assolutemente da consigliare per un soggiorno romantico e di classe ma diverso dal solito hotel 4 stelle che offre di tutto e di più ma in un ambiente spesso impersonale e standardizzato. Paradossalmente il fatto che in camera ci fosse la TV quasi stonava con la magia dell'ambiente...

Solo per accedere alla struttura non vi sono troppe indicazioni per chi arriva la prima volta, ma la gentilezza dei proprietari ha sopperito alla piccola pecca!!

Superbe situation pour cet hôtel, plein de charme avec de belles chambres. Terrasse extérieure avec vue panoramique où prendre de très bons petits-déjeuner.
