Just across the Church of San Francesco and close to the station, Hotel Moderno is close to the escalator that goes down to the historic center of Siena.

Surrounded by a peaceful garden in Siena, the Hotel Garden is a 15-minute walk from Porta Camollia, the ancient city gate.

Hotel Italia is a charming 20-minute walk from Siena's Piazza del Campo. In summer, enjoy free access to a nearby swimming pool and tennis court.
Score from 950 reviews Excellent
Air conditioning Breakfast room too hot and difficult To move close to.
access from motorway
location is given as 2k from the city center but it is along busy roads part of which does not have a fottpath and the local bus stopped at 8pm which means an evening in the center requires Taxi return
It was pretty far out of town and the bus stops running at 830
Quiet , clean, friendly staff.
It is 30 min. walking away from Siena center, I had a cello, so needed to take a taxi, which is fine too,9Euro only, but still...Everything else was fine!To sleep it was much quieter than in the city.
Quiet and green environment. Nice fruit trees in the garden.
The room was dirty, the bathroom was full of mold and smelked really bad. The window was brokem. The location is not good. Please don't stay at this place is terrible
When we told the director that we shouldn't pay for the night of the ceiling accident in the bathroom (a huge piece of the ceiling had collapsed and a pipe dripped all night long on the floor) he blamed us of trying to take advantage of him, actually the incident was a dangerous one but fortunately we weren't there when it happened. We passed all that night in that room and the director didn't show up on time the next day even though we had asked him to meet. Besides the first day we had to change room because the bathroom was quite dirty. The hotel had a general cleaning problem. The bathroom wasn't cleaned enough, even the cups, the plates at the breakfast room seemed unwashed. The breakfast included staled beacon and cheese. The wifi connection was terrible and it was impossible to connect to internet.
parking, drinks and coffee for free on arrival... there was one girl from slovakia and one from czech republic... really nice and helpful
old and moldy shower, but as there wasn´t a running cold water...we did not have to use it.... called the reception but nobody solved it....no compensation in the morning from the hotel......does not deserve 4 stars.... far from the city... no public buses in the evening
Very modern hotel and they offer the free welcome drink and cake.
The Palio race, it was half an hour walk away. this was fine.
Dirty bathrooms, unhelpful staff, flies around the breakfast table.
There was a table with free food (sweets, biscuits) and drinks (water, orange juice, coffee, tea) available at all times for all guests. The center of Siena was easy to reach by bus (ca. 10-15 minutes to go), but the last bus back to the hotel is already at 9 p.m. - the taxi back is not expensive (we paid 11 Euro).
The water in the shower did not get hot, we had to call the reception to get it repaired - after that the water was a little bit warmer but not hot enough. The room was not really clean when you took a closer look - we found 3 spiders in the corners and behind the TV.
Nice business hotel in a vacation area. Welcomed us with coffee and tea at night, let us use their wi-fi after our checkout in order to make a reservation farther down the road. The surrounding area was beautiful - we packed a lunch and ate outside the hotel in a neighboring field, had a nice time.
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. A room with free coffee, cakes, juices, etc. during the day. Free parking. If you don't mind walking, you can make the distance from the hotel to the public escalators in about 20 minutes, saving a lot in parking (car traffic is restricted in the town centre)
The temperature in the room with free coffee was too warm.
Good Price Clean and comfortable Quiet area
Know that it is a bit out of the city, so be prepared in advance. You can walk- about 20 minutes to the center, but not a very pleasant walk. you can also take a car and park it near (or in) the center (5 minutes), or take a bus.
Price and facilities
Tangenziale di Siena, very-very-very noisy.
Clean, mid sized rooms
A/C broke. Bed hard, mold in shower. Leaked like sieve.
breakfast not included in the price
We stayed one night in this hotel, it's a little bit outside Siena, but 20 min walking brings you in the city centre and no hassle with parking. But for a one night it was ok, breakfast was also good.
The hotel is getting a bit old and need a polish.
Very nice staff. Always ready to help.
They have lovely but overgrown garden. We enjoyed sitting there late at night having glass of wine. Garden is not maintain or looked after. Anyway we've been the only people sitting there.
It was very dated, and they claimed to be a 4 star, absolutely NOT! No breaky included and that was disappointing as all other hotels in Italy it is included. Very boring place to stay, efficient if all you need is a place to sleep. But it is not a 4 star!!!!
I stayed here for two weeks in July 2014. A moderate hotel at a moderate price. Good sized rooms. Altogether better than average and quite satisfactory for a hotel of this standard. If you are on foot expect a half hour walk mostly uphill to the old town centre.
The wifi connection was sporadic.
- Free juice and small snacks at the lobby - Nice TV in the room
- Had to change room because the bathroom showerhead was broken and the stand that held it and there was no hot water. - Bathroom looks shabby and rusty. - Room has absolutely no style. - Simply doesn't feel like 4 stars.
Nice and quiet hotel next to the motorway. Helpful staff
A cold shower!!! It is essential to be able to take a hot shower, but water pressure and temperature are highly inadequate. They helped us with changing rooms, which did not solve the problem :( Wifi was not working in the rooms.
Free parking in front of the hotel. Good breakfast. Nice personel.
Smelly room, hotel soroundings is a bit messy.
Very nice staff Big free parking lot Free drinks available for guest during the day Nice relaxing area behind the hotel
Very poor WIFI. Even at strongest signal the quality is poor. Breakfast quality Hard to get to relaxing area behind the hotel when the restaurant is closed
