Hotel Marconi is on the Grand Canal, right across from Rialto Bridge. Its rooms are decorated in a typical Venetian style, and include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.

In the Cannaregio district of central Venice, Alloggi Santa Sofia features simply furnished rooms just 500 ft from the Grand Canal and the Cà d'Oro Vaporetto water bus stop.
Score from 760 reviews Very good
This elegant 12th-century building was once home to the Doge Marino Falier. Just 1000 ft from Rialto Bridge, it offers elegant rooms with antique furniture and original paintings.
Score from 434 reviews Excellent
In the heart of Venice, Hotel Da Bruno is halfway between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. All rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 865 reviews Very good
The breakfast staff was nice and the breakfast was good, although fresh fruit would be nice. (I always think Italian croissants are too dry and the bread isn't very good in general so I'm a tough critic on that.) The building was nice and our room was spacious and clean with a great view out to the canal.
There was some confusion at the beginning about my booking and the host was not nice or very accommodating. We asked to leave our luggage at the end of our stay and he wouldn't let us do it for very long. He seemed to have a chip on his shoulder and wasn't at all friendly.
Quiet room with a reasonably handy location
Very impersonal and over priced for what it was, no warmth in hospitality and the reception was unmanned whenever we went to make enquiries. Breakfast selection was very basic. The shower recess was cramped even for our smaller sizes.
Most of the rooms have an authentic Palazzo feel. The suite is quite spacious, has got high fresco painted ceilings and antique furniture. It feels specific and not generic.
The breakfast lacked variety, every morning the same, single choice or sliced cheese and turkeysausage. Same single choice of cake. Bagged cornflakes and awful orangejuice. Thats literally it.Also same Music, Wagners Ride of the Valkyries, same for 5 days.
They upgraded us
No kettle to boil water for evening and early morning cuppa tea.
The breakfest area was beautiful, the food was fresh and enough. The balcony was great!!!
In our room we could sit only on our bed, staying for more day in a hotel room, we would need a little table with 2 chairs.
Extremely rude staff at front desk
Location, private balcony overlooking canal, comfortable bed, quiet air con, helpful staff.
Would have fresh fruit salad at breakfast, but this is a very minor item.
The location is really convenient without too many crowds. The staff is polite and they serve a good breakfast.
The security doors, the codes and the doors don't function 100% which is not very practical if you arrive after 9pm.
It was quiet and central.
The room and bathroom were tidy, confortable and we had a little terrace with canal view. The breakfast was very good and, in general, all the team were nice, specially the staff.
At the check out time the payment was already done (we opted for the pay later option when we booked). Altough there was no problem, we did not understand it.
we were family with a ten years old child we asked for a room with view in canalle and when we get there we were suprised because they gave us an appartment larger than a room.It was in front of canalle as we asked. The bulding is beautiful the same as you see it in the photo. The location is perfect five minutes to San Marco square. We absolutly recommed it to anybody.Veni and George
Breakfast was included but it was only six tables to seat. And it was a poor breakfast, thats the only fault I find.
The hotel located in a very quiet place of Venice. It allows you to see the lovely city that without so much tourists.
2 days ago we returned from Venice & we stayed 3 days in the Palazzo Schiavoni. Palazzo is located near from Piazza San Marco and the Slavic waterfront (a 5-minute walk). Near of Palazzo there are variety of cafes & shops. Palazzo is clean, have a view to the canal. There is an elevator. Nice authentic decor. The apartments have everything you need. Every morning in the fridge restocked juice, milk, butter, pies, jams. With a strong desire at the famous market you can buy fresh fish, vegetables and cook it all in the room. Palazzo staff is greeting, spoke in English. We were on Easter Sunday & in connection with which personal of Palazzo kindly greet us with sweets and chocolate. Cleaning every day. Wi-fi is free. In Palazzo it was cold (as in all hotels in Venice) but in the room were warm blankets. The great advantage of the Palazzo Schiavoni is there is no terrible tourist crowd.
All was good.
Location was quiet and away from tourist area, but close enough to walk to main attractions. Staff were extremely helpful, arranging to have vegan options for breakfast and warning us of the high tide.
Beautiful building and room. Excellent location for visiting the Biennale, and close to San Marco.
We got everything we expected.
