Score from 301 reviews Good
Only a 5-minute walk from the Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station, Hotel Azzi is in the San Lorenzo district, close to the cathedral and Fortezza da Basso convention center.
Score from 1010 reviews Very good
Located just 215 yards from Santa Maria Novella Station, the Hotel Montreal provides attentive service in a central location. It has free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen satellite TV....
Score from 528 reviews Very good
Featuring a heated indoor pool and a rooftop bar with 360° views out over Florence, this ultra-modern hostel is a 10-minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella Train Station.
Score from 3581 reviews Very good
Mostly good stuff and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Being a bit picky here but the shower was the smallest I have ever seen - literally so small you could barely "turn around" inside it lol. And since the shower was so tiny the water ends up getting all over the floor, causing about an inch deep pond thus turning your quaint little Florence hotel into a wet, Venice stroll along the overflowing canal lol. The breakfast was also very poor but only an option so I'd highly recommend NOT paying for it.
Close to train station walking distance to many main attractions
Dirty... our blankets were stained and there hairs on the sheets and covering the other blankets
The lady n gentleman on the front desk were really helpful,well-mannered n courteous...we dropped a bit earlier than d chk-in time, but d lady was sweet enough to give us another room which was ready n also wid an extra bed...did not charge us extra nor made us wait...had a good experience.
Nothing specific just a bit of noise from d neighbourhood...but then after spending whole day out n just coming to sleep did not get bother much
Great location: 5 mins from railway station and 10 mins walk to the historic centre of town. We booked a room with shared bathroom but were upgraded to one with a private bathroom for the same price, which was great. Room was large and had everything we needed: sufficient power points for charging devices, good lighting including bedside lights, a/c, comfy bed, good pillows, large clean bathroom.
Ineffectual shower curtain - its too short, so water floods onto the floor.
The price is cheap if compared to other hotels in Florence
The AC didn't work and we had to keep the windows opened with a swarm of mosquitoes coming inside. The hotel is cheap but the cleanliness could be improved (hairs in the bed, shower not really cleaned etc....)
Perfect location and 2 excellent trattorias near the hotel. This is one and only advantage and the reason to pick up this one.
Definitely it is not 2 star hotel, but barely a hostel for young people, even not 1 star. The bed is very small, the room is not comfortable, the toilet and the shower are in the space 50 cm on 30 cm, the curtain of the shower sticks to the body because behind it there is a toilet. The shampoo is in a small pack, no place to put it in the shower. No breakfast, but complementary, for 3 euro per person and there is only cakes and cornflakes. Noise. You hear your neighbors running in the corridor.... And for all this you pay 100 EURO!!!!!!! I felt completely cheated....
Close to center, next to train station. Ideal if you want to go on short trips from Florence, at the same time stay close to the city center. Basic, but good price/quality ratio. We had a nice small terrace to the room.
Small double bed. Shared bathroom is really small, had to manoeuver to get in and out.
Highly recommend. Clean and quiet hotel. Great price. Hotel is near centre, can reach all attractions by walk from 5-20min. Staff is very friendly. I checked in earlier (abt 10am) and it was possible (in case of no one in the room before).
The room was clean and spacious. Our window faced inner yard so we slept really well there. Wifi was OK too. Walking distance to the historical center.
The neighbouhood wasn't luxery but still not so bad. It wasn't dangereous or something. The bathroom is small.
Close to the train station and town, good price and good wifi
Nice place, good location, good wifi
In our room toilet was in the shower - it's uncomfortable :)
Staff friendly and helpful. Good location. Good value for price.
Very close to the central station!
No free breakfast

Same price as a youth hostel dorm for 2. Our room had a private bacony! What more can you ask for?
Good location. Nice & helpful staff. Clean room, nice bathroom. Make sure you learn some Italian before you come to Rome. Some staff speak English and most do not. We were family of 4 and for Rome we fit nicely. :) Slightly noisy, but you are in a big city. This was great for value.
No lift. You must carry your belongs up 1 flight of stairs. You must pay Roma Capitale tax in Euros and the end of your stay. In addition to your hotel stay that you already paid with Credit Card. We did not know this and luckily we had enough. Breakfast was not good.
good position, large triple room
room not bright
It us very lucky for us to upgrade the room type from double bed room with public bathroom to doule bedroom with private bathroom. The equipment is clean. But it is a little bit noisy at the night.
Location near central station
No lefts. the Hotel is on the second floor of an old building imagine that you have two heavy bags and u need to take them upstairs!!! very poor breakfast. it is ok for one night stay.
Close to train station
We were at the ground floor room which enters from the street. There were groups of people hanging out in the street so they saw us checking in and coming out. Don't feel safe about it and about the neighborhood. Room is very basic and doesn't look clean at all. The only plus side is we don't need to carry luggage up a flight of steep stairs where the rest of the rooms are. Breakfast is mostly pre-packaged food. Even we don't mind paying extra for it, there was no attendant there and the coffee machine was not working. Overall, we think it is over priced for what we are getting and definitely will not return.
The location was great, super close to the station and the staff was very helpful.
The room was tiny, just barely big enough to fit a bed.
Very new, clean and comfortable room with everything we needed. 10-15 minutes walking from center. Helpful staff.
Nothing negative for us.
everything is ok
Good value for money. Spotlessly clean. Better then 2 star hotels we have stayed in. Breakfast was not a big selection but for cost of only 3 euros it was ok. Easy to find from train station and short walk. Would stay again.
Location is perfect
