The location on the lake was perfect for exploring the Borremean Islands. The scenery is a real feast for the eyes. I particularly appreciated the Italian sense of effortless style; not only seen in the people but also the many beautiful houses and gardens.

Very helpful friendly staff, facilities that could not be faulted and great quiet position.
Cheap toilet paper!
Perfect place to celebrate my birthday
Two twin beds push together rather than one double bed. Also Internet was not working, but staff was very responsive & had it fixed the next morning.
Great location Bedroom and bathroom very good. Full compliment of tioletries
Nothing particularly
The situation is very good, overlooking the lake and 50 metres from the ferry terminal for Stresa and the Borromean islands. There is a road in front of the hotel, but it is little used and very quiet. The staff were also excellent - friendly, professional and wishing to help.
The hotel needs more investment. At the moment it seems focused on taking low-cost tour groups who are probably not inclined to complain, and for this reason they can get away with poor, thin coffee and uninspiring pastries for breakfast. Our room was also not generously sized so we were for ever falling over our suitcases; there was one small pillow that had never been good even when new; and their toilet paper is of the brown crinkly kind that I last saw in Italy in the 1970s. Only a penny-pinching management could treat its guests in such a way. We so appreciated the staff that we feel they are badly let down by their bosses who should charge 2 euros a night more and aim to achieve modern hotel standards.
Staff position charm
Pillows tea English have to have tea making stuff in room It's an English thing even 5 star places don't get it Tea Tea
We knew the location was excellent from our previous visit but we can honestly say we enjoyed this time at the hotel even more. The room was excellent overlooking the lake. The staff at the reception were wonderful. The staff in the breakfast room were lovely. The housekeepers were really polite and very good.
Our only area for improvement is that at breakfast to make a good pot of tea, the water has to be at boiling point but this is a minor point. It is an English thing!
The staff was exceptionally helpful, breakfast was very nice and had more options than most, location was beautiful and access to the ferry for lake travel was just across the road.
Nothing really
Quiet rooms, location beside water-bus stop and restaurants.
Nothing really.

Wouldnt rate the hotel as 4* more a 3* Beds were hard but still managed to get a good night sleep. Special request was ignored. Pitty as we stayed at the hotel for a special event.
Parking was on the street and we had to go far to park.
Grest location, clean and tidy. Central to shops and restaurants.
Nice location friendly staff good room will return
Nothing
Lake view, room was so cute, staff amazing, nice building...asking for nothing more!
Wonderful lakeside location.Hotel had great atmosphere .Friendly and very helpful staff.Evening meals at nearby Hotel Belvedere were excellent.
Fresh fruit salad at breakfast would have been useful. Pillows rather hard
The employees were very helpfull and nice.
Paying parking being a hotel guest, Room facilities basic for the price.
Location cannot be bettered in a quiet enclave on Lake Maggiore. The hotel is charming in its design and the staff are very helpful, with English spoken. Good breakfasts and a great Lake view to Isola Madre with ferry 2 mins away.
Nothing really. More pillows would have been useful but we would have probably got these if we had asked but we didn't. This is a great hotel that we will return to.
The corner room under the roof was lovely with stunning views. The location is quiet but central and just a step from the boat station. All the staff were very friendly and not speaking Italian was not a problem at all, which is very nice. Late arrival was not problematic either. We also got excellent advice for day trips. And generally felt very welcome. A 4-star hotel with a family touch!
The cushions were a tiny bit hard. Breakfast would have been excellent - only the juice was a bit artificial.
