Hotel Palumbo    

-The decoration of the hotel is lovely -The guy at the reception during the night shift was super welcoming and attentionated -We booked a junior suite but at our arrival we were given an inappropriate room. After we complained, we were given the Persiana junior suite with amazing sea view and a balcony -Excellent location in the main city square

-Continental breakfast is only croissant and Jam -The double bed is actually formed of two mattresses next to each other which is slightly incomfortable if you want to sleep in the middle -There weren't any dental kit or slippers in the room -Wifi signal was weak -There is a hidden step in the lobby on which many people stumbled

It's position!

I felt that the Palumbo wants to be a luxury hotel but , with the exception of good staff, it really doesn't succeed! We stayed one night on a trip where we'd spent time in Agriturismo's, the 5* Parkers in Naples and a bed & breakfast. Quite a mix, but unfortunately the Palumbo was the only disappointment! It has a great location and the staff were helpful and nice. The night we stayed they had a wedding on and said unfortunately we could no longer have an evening meal as included in halfboard rate. We were given the option of lunch but I asked for reduction in the bill, which was given. The wedding party meant we could not enjoy the garden and we were told it would go on until 12am. Not ideal as I'm 5 months pregnant but not a huge problem. We were shown to our room, which was average on ground floor and went out to explore. When we came back later to shower and go out for dinner we noticed noise and preparation in the room next to us but the door was shut! We bumped into the bride, it was a little awkward but off we went out again.When we returned again at about 10pm we were surprised to find that the room next to us was the kitchen with the wedding in full flow. Shouting, pots banging and complete bedlam with staff rushing to & frow from the garden. We could not hear the wedding for the noise of the kitchen. At 11pm, we'd had enough and went to ask why on earth we'd been put next the kitchen as we'd be kept up half the night and it wasn't fair! To there credit they apologised and moved us immediately to a suite out the way. I think the rate for this room was a lot but it was very tired! The amount we paid for the smaller room matched what the larger room was worth. However we slept well in the end and after a very poor breakfast (apparently worth £20 each) we were pleased to leave. The hotel tried to charge us for breakfast but we had been given a different price by another staff member. Apparently a mistake on their part but they did honour this.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay at the Palumbo in Ravello. We wanted to stay in a historic building and it certainly fit the bill dating from the 12th century. We loved room 50 with its two private terraces and the quaint but more than adequate suite. The maid service was excellent, the day staff more than happy to help you and carry out any room services. The breakfast and dinner staff were professional and very welcoming and friendly. People there seemed to be very proud of their hotel and so they should. We were also happy to be able to use the pools at two other associated hotels. Food was excellent having had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. We had read some negative reviews before about the age of the hotel but we found this silly. If you want to stay in a modern hotel than a small village in Italy such as Ravello is not for you. History and traditions in such an old establishment are what you will find at the Palumbo plus old fashioned kindness and treatment as their guests.

The only thing I could recommend would be to put in their own pool as they seem to have the space but we were also quite satisfied with the pool access we had at their associated hotels.

I did like the location of the hotel.

Some of tthe staff really rude. There wasnt any mini bar in room. There wasnt any hot water out if shower. The safe in the room wasnt mounted to anything,so you could walk away with it. And there was the noise out of the kitchen,as our room was next to it.because there was a wedding reception.And staff didnt inform us about it. Staff didnt gave us any information about what time breakfast ,check out time was ect. Over all really dissapointed ,and its def not a five star hotel. Next door palazzo sasso thats what I call 5 star.

La struttura fascinosa e la posizione. La camera è molto bella e confortevole, anche per la vista !!!

Siamo stati in periodo invernale e quindi il ristorante era chiuso. Pochi ospiti.

Posizione dell'Hotel, staff cortese, parcheggio in loco ( 25 euro al giorno )

Quando siamo arrivati la junior suite era senza corrente, di due televisori ne ha funzionato solamente uno ( per mezza giornata ), il frigobar era staccato e quindi tutto caldo. Le pareti presentano vistose infiltrazioni d'acqua e nel complesso l'arredamento non è da considerarsi adatto ad una suite di un hotel 5 stelle.

Trato frío, nos dieron la peor habitación, sin posibilidad de cambio sin pagar un plus de 100€ por una noche. Por 195€ la noche sin desayuno y un plus d 25€ de parking al día esperaba una mejor atención. Al menos que nos enseñaran el hotel y sus instalaciones. Una sonrisa, algo... Por supuesto no probé su restaurante, pues conozco la zona y preferí el trato de Villa María

O hotel propriamente dito é maravilhoso. O prédio principal tem uma vista maravilhosa. Os funcionários são delicadíssimos.

ñOs colocaram num anexo do hotel, fora do corpo principal, em cima da garagem. Os quartos eram confortáveis porém metidos a "modernosos" e de um gosto duvidoso. O hotel é extremamente recomendável desde que se fique no prédio principal que é lindo, luxuoso e com uma atmosfera totalmente "ravelliana".

Splendido palazzo storico, come una residenza di cui si è ospiti perché invitati dal proprietario, servizio attento e gentile.

Ottima posizione, personale gentile e disponibile. Struttura storica molto raffinata e romantica.

Per la categoria la camera è troppo piccola così come il bagno. Il televisore non è nella camera da letto. Il bagno, molto piccolo, è privo di doccia (solo dentro la vasca); unico sanitario wc/bidet. Gli spazi comuni sono molto raffinati ma le camere non sono all'altezza di una categoria 5 stelle.

Das Hotel hat keinen eigenen Pool. Die Parkplatz Situation ist in Ravello chaotisch. Trotz des eigenen Parkhauses ist es durch die Fussgängerzone schwierig zu fahren!

l'hotel è costituito da camere in un palazzo antico. Gli arredi, le maioliche contribuiscono ad un'atmosfera bellissima ed unica! Inoltre la posizione dell'hotel è formidabile soprattutto se si ha la fortuna di poter soggiornare in una stanza con vista mare

Prenotate due camere, ma arrivati in una l'aria condizionata era rotta e non potevano sistemarla prima di 24 ore. Dopo nostra insistenza ci hanno trovato un'altra stanza in un hotel vicino, ma oltre a doverci dividere abbiamo dovuto pagare di più ed in un hotel di categoria inferiore.

L'ottima ospitalità e attenzione al clietne. Ambiente sobrio e di gusto

Le cachet historique de cet hôtel invite à y séjourner. L'accueil ainsi que le petit déjeuner sont excellents.La situation est remarquable.

Le prix reste élevé même en passant par Booking.com ! Mais il n'est pas du tout supérieur à celui d'autres hôtels de cette catégorie. Il faudrait veiller à l'entretien des peintures murales extérieures, notamment sur la rue,aux plantes sauvages sur la toiture et remplacer une ou deux tentures extérieures donnant sur le jardin. Mais l'ensemble est magnifique.
