It was a very modern and safe hotel slightly out of the center of the city. I liked how the location was quiet but close enough to take a cab or bus to the city. It would have been more convenient if breakfast was included.

Clean and cozy rooms with balcony, nice staff. Very quiet neigbourhood. Air conditioner worked ok. Shampoo, soap and other things always in the bathroom. We had two rooms - for the 2-night stay and then later for a week. For the second time the bathroom was bigger. But in the first one it was ok too. It's really far from the center. You have to walk 5 min to the bus station and then travel about 20-30 minutes. We had some difficulties getting there in the evening (later that 8p.M.) This place would be really great for the tourists who rent a car or scooter - easier to get to the center. But anyway, it also was not bad, nice stay.

The rooms are clean and the staff helpful and kind. It is a satisfactory stay but definitely not a 4 Star Hotel. Location is relatively quiet when compared to central tourist locations. We enjoyed being away from tourist center, enjoyed the park at Villa Ada and didn't mind taking the bus elbow to elbow with the locals to get to city center (10-15 minutes) but some folks might be put off by this Hotel Panama Garden is definitely not a 4 Star hotel. The rooms are so small you have to climb over your luggage to get to the bathroom or move at all for that matter. The rooms are literally the size of a double bed plus a couple of feet around allowing no room for your suitcase or easy relaxation. The furnishings are tired and dated. Beware that Hotel Panama Garden has a small print inclusion on their receipts allowing them to add markup to those not paying attention. Upon checkout our bill was quoted in € but charged in $ without our consent allowing the Hotel to act as bank and add 3%.

The staff were great, really helpful. The location of the Hotel was a concern when reading other comments on this website, but it was perfect!! Your basically in the middle between the city centre and Vatican City, meaning a 3 minute walk to catch the bus to the city, or a 5 min walk to catch the tram to the Vatican - and to be honest I found it so much better to come back to a hotel that wasn't hustling people outside. Not much to say here really, if anything the jacuzzi in 201 was a little finiky and needs a repair.

The room was very nice - modernly decorated, air conditioned, with dark curtains - really comfortable. The hotel is in a 45 minute walking distance from the very center of the city (Spanish steps, Fountain Di Trevi, Stazione Termini) through a nice neighbourhood. The bus and tram stops are close to the hotel.
