Very clean Helpful staff Excellent resturant
Dated No air-con in our room
I loved this hotel. The blue and white decor is a bit dated but it has a 'beach' feel to it. The exceptionally large rooms are kept very clean. The rooms in the front also have a nice balcony with a magnificent sea view. This hotel is comfortable: it has an elevator and it's on the same level as the road. You might not get the view that you would if it were perched on a cliff but on the other hand, there are no stairs to climb to reach it. There is a bus stop a few meters from the front door as well as many good restaurants within walking distance. It was also very quiet. We were there at the end of October so I don't know if this is still true in the summer. A room at the back without sea view might be a better alternative in the summer. There is a double entry (from the hall, you walk into a small entrance with another door that separates the sleeping area) so there is no noise from the hall. There is a nice pool but at the end of October, it was too cold to enjoy it.
The parking is a bit steep at 15 euros.
Great location, clean, good price, and the staff are great.
Location Staff service Breakfast Facilities
very new and clean room, the staff were very professional and helpful.
Location Very nice view from the terrace where breakfast is served
a little noisy, in the morning you could hear the neighbors walking and talking in the hallway
The location was a pleaseant surprise we loved it.The staff were very helpful one small issue we had was resolved promptly and we were very satisfied We will return at some point with a set of new friends thank you
Great location, get a room with sea view, nice restaurant on the rooftop, David Personne (singer in the restaurant) is great, highly entertaining and was a highlight of our stay
Hotel is a bit shabby, our room was big (junior suite) but bathroom had a pretty awful smell, which we asked reception to look into, they effectively just brought an air freshener which created a horrible combined odour. Given it was just 1 night, we didn't bother doing anything about it l, but left a bad impression
The staff are some of the friendliest, warm hearted people I have met. The restaurant is exceptional, for the quality its very reasonable in price. A new menu each day. The rooftop bar and private beach are great assets and the laundry room around the back was important for me. WiFi worked pretty well, a bit sketchy at times but really good on the rooftop with a beverage and the sound of the sea. The breakfast is plentiful with many options and spectacular views over the ocean. Good facilities in the room. The town of Maiori is sweet and endearing. Pool looked good but I didn't use it, why would I when ocean is only 1 minute away!!!
Bed was a little too firm for me and there were ants coming and going in the bathroom but that was soon sorted. I hope they fill the fountain up at the front entrance, it would make a better first impression. Only minor quibbles. Loved it.
The most outstanding staff at the Front desk. Most helpfull Thank you. Thank you
Staff was fantastic - upgraded us to a suite for our anniversary without us even asking. Room was beautiful - overlooking the sea with a fantastic balcony. No bar noise or traffic noise to complain about at all (saw that in other reviews).
location,breakfast, rooftop bar
no aircon. bathroom damp
Everything really, the coastline, the hotel, facilities, friendly staff, panoramic rooftop bar, private beach which happened to be free during October. Great room, shower is awesome with all the right settings and comfortable bed. Free water in the mini bar. Good regular bus service to everywhere. Faultless.
If you're coming from Salerno on the bus. Take in the breathtaking views but hold on to your hats! Its fast and windy and hot and usually crammed.
We had a very pleasant stay.
We also enjoyed listening to the music by David !!! The staff were lovely and very helpful! We enjoyed the garden roof food! It was delicious
The bed and pillows were too hard but we made it work and the cleaning staff were great in supporting this !
Amazing time for my sisters wedding in Sept 2014. The hotel made the trip even more special
the location is excellent with stunning views from the roof terrace bar where breakfast buffet is served , the restaurant for evening meals is very good with a daily changing set menu food is top class the staff at this hotel are very good special mention to Ronaldo and also the barman sorry forgotten his name but these two were brilliant and made all guests stay a pleasure . the musician David who played live a few nights a week was great as well
Location Size of room and full sea view Lovely roof tce and pool
Just requires the rooms and bathrooms updating! But spotless
Stayed here for 5 nights on my honeymoon. Beautiful hotel, staff are helpful and friendly, location is great, our room was perfect. Rooftop pool and sun bathing area was really good. Excellent entertainment at the rooftop bar by David, a wonderful musician and a friendly guy. Honestly I don't have a bad word to say about this hotel, we loved it. We stayed in the junior suite on the fourth floor, beautiful views and our room was massive! Thanks to the hotel and all the staff for making our stay so memorable.
We had to go home.
View from room with a balcony was nice.
The bed was very firm. It was difficult to get used to. The air conditioning did not cool the room very well.
We were really happy with every aspect of this hotel. The location is great. Maiori is one of the smaller, less busy resorts with a long promenade and beach at road level. The local buses are cheap to travel on to other locations around the coast. We were greeted at reception on our arrival by the lovely Ida, who's charming greeting made us feel very welcome. After a couple of days she told us she was going back to Uni and we were disappointed, however the other reception staff were equally polite and efficient. They booked our trip to Pompei for us and also our taxi to the airport. Our rooms were on the 1st floor......bright and airy with a balcony overlooking the beach and were kept immaculately clean. The air conditioning was effective, if a bit noisy, when we needed to close the patio doors. The only criticism is that the bathroom could have done with a bit of updating, however, our towels were changed daily. We ate in the hotel restaurant every evening. The menu was changed daily and each dish was beautifully presented and served. The head waiter always found us an excellent table, and our favourite waiter, Sujit, deserves a special mention. We did try a local restaurant on one occasion, but the hotel was much better so we didn't bother to go out anymore. Breakfast was served buffet style on the 5th floor terrace with fantastic views across the bay and the choice of hot and cold food was very good. There is also a splash pool and us beds on this level and towels can be requested at reception. Our checking out experience was as trouble free as the rest of our stay. We would definitely recommend the Panorama to anyone and thank all the staff for making our holiday very enjoyable.
The front of the hotel could do with a facelift and the appearance would be much improved just by simply filling the empty pond at the front and getting the fountain going, however this is cosmetic and didn't affect the holiday
View from balcony.
The location is outstanding and the staff at the reception desk will do whatever they can to help. They always have a smile and a kind word. Every day we asked them to call a taxi, give directions, or make a recommendation. They work hard and genuinely care about their guests' needs.
I would not stay at the Panorama again until the rooms have been completely renovated. The walls are so thin that you can here all the noise from the adjoining rooms and in the hallway. The bathrooms are disgusting. Even when they've been cleaned, they still have an awful smell and there are ants! On another topic, we tried the hotel dining room our first night. We were treated like bums by the maitre'd. The food tasted good, but we received the opposite of a warm welcome. We never returned, never will.
The front lobby concierges were warm, welcoming and knowledgable about the area and were always ready and willing to assist. Kudos to Solenia, Ida and Filomina! Rooftop bar had awesome views.
The service in the restaurant was poor; waiters were uncaring. Rooftop bar service was very slow. Beds were uncomfortable--very hard!
they charge to go to the beach!!!
