Best Western Hotel Paradiso    

Very friendly and accommodating . The staff makes a sincere effort to make you feel very welcome and your stay comfortable. Extremely good location with a magnificent view of the Bay and Mount Vesuvius.

The lobby outside the hotel rooms looks quite dated and could do with a facelift with a better and brighter color scheme.

The location was wonderful and the view was fabulous. Facility was nice and the price was right. Internet service was very good. I would definitely stay there again.

Not enough electrical outlets to charge kindle, cell phone, laptop at the same time. Coffee at breakfast was good but they kept running out - need two pitchers instead of one. The night desk clerk was at times not what I would call friendly and there were often times when the day desk crew were too overwhelmed with check-in and out to provide answers to even simple questions. They did not provide money changing service which most hotels I stay at are happy to do but there was a bank ATM across the street so could do it. They told me I should park at the garage across the street and there was a discount for hotel customers. While they were great at the garage I don't think I got any break and it was more expensive than I was led to believe at the hotel. Possibly a language issue.

The view might be really nice, but give the hotel's location, there is 50% chance you will end up on the "wrong" side of the hotel. Additionally first and second floor don't have the view because of other building standing in the way. Thus unless you specifically pay for the room with view, the chance you will end u p with one is low.

A very good hotel, location was excellent for the view of the bay. A bit far from the tourist areas but that was our preference. A little inconvenient for access to taxis.

Excellent staff and location

Private parties took precedence over hotel guests.Menus reduced and main restaurant and outside veranda made unavailable. Hotel should not make its guests subordinate to private parties and reduce facilities.We were told that there would be a full menu on Saturday evening but there was not.We were treated as if we were in the way . We could not recommend the hotel for this reason as if any of our friends experienced this treatment this would be embarrassing for us.This was a pity

The reception area is on the 4th floor with the rooms below so we were on the 3rd floor directly under reception area with noise from people above made it hard to sleep and then you are woken up early

it has a view of the Port of Napoli. if you get a room with the view, it is a lovely sight. They have arranged various tours for hotel residents at a price. When we complained about the view from our window, we were given an upgrade free of charge.

it has an ancient feel to it. the wi-fi signal in the room isn't so great. not all rooms have a great view. We felt like the picture of the hotel on booking.com was quite different from what it actually is.

The views of the gulf, Vesuvius, Naples and Capri. Breakfast was Ok, reception service was good.

At first it seemed far from town center, once we learned the funicolare and bus routes, we were fine.

The Location and the view from one of the rooms. The other room had no balcony and no view. That was room 303, it is essentially a broom closet.

Room 303 is a broom closet, no view and no balcony. Also very uncomfortable beds. Biggest disappointment: I reserved the quadruple room with 4 twin beds, what I got was 2 double rooms with 2 Full beds. Was not enjoyable, and is quite over priced for the quality.

The view was great.

Small awkward wash rooms, poor shower arrangement. No ice or soft drink vending for the guests. Have to ask at the bar to get four ice cubes in a glass.

I thought that perhaps the breakfast could have been better with more choices of fresh fruit!

The view from the top floor (fourth) from the restaurant/dining area/bar was superb - across the city and marinas to Vesuvius. The hotel is located several hundred feet above sea level and walking up and down to the watrfront area is an option only for the determined and super-fit. However a short 200 metre walk up from the hotel there is a funicular rail service that takes one up and down (about every 10 minutes) for around euro 1.60 return (taxis about euro 10 each way)! Note - the panoramic sea views are only available from the one side of the hotel and only from the third floor. The second floor room views are restricted by the building opposite. Food was good and reasonably priced but there are dozens of other places to eat in a 200/300 metre range from the ground level exit of the funicular. Trips from Paradiso into the city centre/rail stations/Molo Beverello harbour (where the ferries mostly operate from) are 15/20 euros each way by taxi but a fraction of that by funicular train then bus.

The room was a bit on the 'compact' side. There was little facility for sitting in the sun [in the open bar/lounge area - there were only a couple of loungers] beyond the seaview side room balconies which were fairly small and east facing, towards Naples and Vesuvius, so the sunbathing potential in the pm was very limited. The restaurant/bar staff were somewhat charmless but that might be because of language limitations beyond Italian. The reception staff were more multilingual and helpful.

unfortunately it is in Naples, quite possibly the smelliest and dirtiest city in Europe...

The view is amazing.

Small room typically european - the hotel is very old - if you wish to stay here stay only for the view this is sensational and the restaraunt is pretty nice also.

Nice views in the rooms. We parked out the front on the road rather than paying and had no worries.

The food at the restaurant was good however I felt the service could have been a bit better - it wasn't very welcoming. Also the tv wasn't working properly and the staff said they would be back soon to fix it and just never came back.

we stayed in this Hotel for the second time and had the same experience mentioned in my previous review.

The hotel is loacated near to the port Marina and one can get there in 15 mins with a taxi, or take the Funicular (ropeway) and a bus to the main port. The staff was friendly and also guided us for places to see and nearby trips. Breakfast was average, but the view from the restaurant was awesome. One could see the entire Marina and the port sitting in the Restaurant. The food in the restaurant is not that tasty as compared to the prices. The taxi guys try to ask more money when they see you walk out from the hotel , so take a taxi which is not waiting in the Hotel taxi parking but maybe 100mts away from the hotel.
