Albergo Italia was Urbino’s first hotel. In the historic center of the city, it is a 5-minute walk from Palazzo Ducale. It offers classic rooms with flat-screen satellite TV and inexpensive Wi-Fi.
Score from 753 reviews Excellent
building proximity to the town breakfast free wifi warmth of the welcome spacious bedrooms everything in good working order
maybe different bathroom products although not an issue for me
Great location that was mentioned in almost all reviews - close to Urbania (nice choice of restaraunts for dinner) and Urbino (true gem of the Marke region). Good choice at breakfast (although we two were the only guests with breakfast we were served each morning with full variety of everything and were more than welcomed by the staff...). Nice room, very well equipped and perfectly cleaned, cosy lobby to sit in the evening, sipping a glass of wine, wonderful selection of albums to flip through in the evening - one of the most romantic places. But what really goes high above your expectation is people - our warmest and heartest thanks to Daniela and Maria!
Everything! Great breakfast
It would be nice to have a better internet connection
Pretty grounds, nextdoor to the Duke of Urbino's former Palace, a beautiful building. Well situated for easy access to Arezzo, Urbino and the many beaches along the Adriatic Coast.
No lift for heavy suitcases. Too quiet for teenage children. Pool was deserted. Breakfast was limited and lacked a warm welcome. Lights not working in bathroom. Local town, Urbano, deserted at night.
The staff (Daniela, Dani) was very helpful and charming.Splendid setting, just outside Urbania but within easy walking distance to town. Excellent breakfast. Good location to explore Le Marche!
Very nice location, next to the hunting lodge of the Duke. Only 1 hour drive to the coast, a lot of amazing scenery in the hills. Urbino and San Leo are definitely worth a visit. Excellent wines & food at Enoteca Vin Italy in Urbania.
Mattrass of bed rather poor quality. The light in the kitchenette of the apartment was rather dim.
The hotel is really outstanding. We had the family room with kitchenet which was spacious and practical. The swimming pool is beautiful as well the surrounding area. Our dog was welcomed and Daniela was very helpful. We really reccomend this place.
Location is stunning. Right next to the most beautiful former ducal palace and convent. Walking distance to Urbania and restaurants.
Would benefit from an onsite bar.
Nice location, very welcoming staff- Daniella, good value for money. Walking distance to Urbania and restaurants there.
The breakfast could be better. There should be a simple changing room by the swimming pool.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely setting just outside Urbania but within easy walking distance to town. Good breakfast, including savoury items. Good loaction to explore Le Marche!
If you like to sleep with open windows and have a room facing the front of the hotel you can hear the traffic on the fairly busy road at the bottom of the garden. Would not stop me from staying at the Parco Ducale again though
Spartan facilities, poor breakfast, not accommodating for checkout,in room mini fridge not stock red at all;HORRIBLY small shower
Beautiful surroundings, on walking distance of Urbania. Very nice rooms, friendly staff. Nice swimming pool. Simply perfect!
Excellent surroudings Friendly staff Value for money Easy to find
Daniela who runs the hotel was very welcoming and helpful and also speaks English. The Hotel has modern facilities and combines that tastefully with a traditional look. Terrific location right next to a lovely old palace. Originally the Duke of Urbania's hunting residence apparently. Comfortable en-suite room and just what we asked for. We also liked the buffet breakfast. We hope to return.
Nothing to dislike.
Location - fantastic! Staff were brilliantly helpful!
-The setting is magnificent, a rewarding transition from the all familiar urban scenery. -Relax and unwind outside, sip on a glass or bottle of "Italian Vino" (available from the extremely hospitable staff) , and talk the evening away , amoungst yourselves or with other guests. PERFECT! -Retire in a very clean, generously sized room with comfortable beds, crisp linens/sheets, huge bathroom -Great! Loved the "Italian Country Farm-House" feel throughout the property (inside and out) -VALUE VALUE VALUE !! Even included a buffet breakfast ...
Who could complain ? They even have internet - not that you want it !!
Next to the amazing Ducale palace on the outskirts of town so view is amazing. Gardens and pool well kept, even in winter.
Room a bit basic and breakfast, which was left in the room (because staff not working in low season) was prepacked and dry. Could have benefitted from some butter, milk or fruit.
