Parco dei Principi Wellness Hotel    

This ok was ok but I wouldn't rate it 5 star, the beach and gardens were great.

The breakfast was horrid, it was to far from the town I got really fed up of doing the walk and pool was dirty and I wouldn't reccomend this hotel because it's rated 5 star and I don't think it should be 5 star.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the view from almost everywhere in the hotel was spectacular. Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and Sorrento in general.

We travelled in early May which is out of season I think but the bar closed was closed before 12 and the complimentary bus into Sorrento (15-20minute walk) did not run after 7pm.

Very friendly staff Excellent location - views out over bay of Naples to Vesuvius were superb and the botanical gardens helped make a special atmosphere (as well as being very quiet in a noisy city/country)

Loved that the hotel had history and charm. The bed was comfortable and the view was breathtaking. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Too far from the center city square. The prices at the bar were outrageous.

The hotel is really near to Sorrento downtown. For those who likes walking is a good ride. The receptionists are friendly and they helped us pointing good places to go to have lunch.

Even after 50 years, this hotel still keeps the original look of Gio Ponti design in that day.It makes me feel these are truely so call the master pieces for all time. I can't help to buy those wonderful sofas and arm chairs back home. Don't forget to book the ocean view room to overlook the the grand Napoli Bay.Stunning!

Some retro style funitures need to be taken care for polishing and cleaning.

The view from our terrace was extraordinary and very special. The beach and pool facilities were exactly what we hoped for but could not understand why they closed access at 5 PM (yes we understood that it was not in season) especially when other guests wanted to enjoy the facilities as well- even another 30 minutes.

It was advertised as a 5 Star property in the center of Sorrento and maybe it is a 4 Star that is at least a mile away from the city center and that probably sums it up. On this trip we were in three different 5 Star hotels and the difference was stark. In terms of specifics the property is in need of freshening up as the room we had does not have the amenities of a 5 Star hotel. For example there was no wash cloths in our bathroom and the electric in our room was powered by one switch so at night if you went to the bathroom there was no way to turn the lights on without waking my spouse.Upon arrival we met other guests who were strangers who shared their disappointments with the restaurant so we did not eat there except for the complimentary breakfast which was ok if you prefer little franks versus sausages with your scrambled eggs. Another disappointment was we brought a couple of drinks to our room on our first evening and after two days brought the empty glasses that had now attracted fruit flies to the front desk as they were left in the same place as where we left them even though the room was cleaned two times. If you expect a turn down service don't plan on it. Overall no one went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

We loved the location - fantastic sea view of Napoli golf. The hotel is located on a cliff surrounded by beautiful park. The lobby and the resturants have unique design - very artistic. We enjoyed having breakfest at the resturant because of the great view. We also enjoyed the beautiful hotel balcony with the panoramic view - great place for relaxtion.

We did'nt like the room so much - the public places of the hotel are great, but when we got our room ( suppirior room with sea view) - we were very dissapointed. The room was very poor - simple forniture, naked walls, terrible lighting. The room was not warm and cosy and not like 5 stars hotel . However, the shower and the room balcony were great. Since we stayed most of the time outside the room - we still enjoyed the place because of it's great surroundings and view. We used the hotel panoramic balcony every day at sunset to relax with drinks. We came with a car (additional charge of 15 euro per day for parking) so we could easily get to the center wich is a little far. Their is shuttle service at the hotel, but most of the time it was fully booked.

Quiet and in beautiful grounds

I would not expect an American School trip to be staying in a Five Star Hotel. Not a particularly nice school either regarding language and initial behaviour What rate did they get?

The views from the hotel are amazing - Versuvius and Capri can both be seen. The breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea was lovely and a huge range of fresh food available.

The hotel has not been updated since it was first made in the 60'S. Fair enough, some famous designer created it but it is now seriously out of date. The deco is so retro its a joke. Some people may like this style and I do too but it has to meet the current standards of a 5 star hotel. This hotel did not feel like 5 star. The walls were paper thin and you could hear people walking around the whole hotel and toilets flushing etc. It needs a revamp urgently. The location in terms of nice views is great, but its a little bit too far from the town centre and train station (20min walk for a fit adult). There is a shuttle bus but you need to book in advance. The swimming pool is falling to pieces. A can of Coca Cola light a 5 euros at the beach bar - what a joke!!

Staff were friendly. Food ok Like being on an austin powers set with the decor.

Walk to far for kids to town. Shuttle bus only available if you book it. Don't do multi runs.

Staff were friendly and relaxed, also very helpful and made an effort to answer all our queries fully. Great views from the restaurant and a fantastic private beach. Rooms were comfortable and cool. We were sad to leave and would love to go back!

Other people from the hotel reserve sunbeds and never arrive, but this is not the Hotels fault just selfish people. The shuttle hours could be longer and you have to pay extra to get to the harbour but it was only a 20 min stroll to town.

Great location, facilities that were ideal for us, friendly staff.

We liked the furniture designed by Gio Ponti. The view is wonderful and the pasta with black truffle!

A little pricey

Fantastic hotel in super nice setting, private beach below hotel set on cliffs in beautiful very extensive gardens. Staff excellent and professional.

Location, view, beach area, cleanliness all excellent. The chap who runs the beach area (towels etc.) was very helpul and pleasant and worked very hard to make people comfortable.

Staff at breakfast time a little unfriendly. Long walk back in the evening from Sorrento so would be good if shuttle ran a late return.

We did not enjoy our stay at the Parco dei Principi. The hotel does not deserve a five star rating. The service, escpesially at breakfast was a bad experience. We will not recommend this hotel to others. Sorry about this.

Excellent staff service, beautiful grounds and good food. Poor a/c units in rooms and bathrooms need upgrading.

Hotel definetly needs renuvation.
