The rooms were much more spacious than our hotels in other parts of Italy. We had the Romana and Imperiale rooms. Our triple (Romana)was basically two huge rooms (one with double and one with single) and there was a lovely private balcony off of the single. It had a table and four chairs, settee, and coffee table. The double (Imperiale) had a divided bathroom (toilet in one and shower/bathtub in the other). The kids loved using the pool after hot days of sightseeing. The sitting room/library on the main floor was beautifully furnished with antiques and a comfortable place to relax. Bonus: Piano in the sitting room that my son could play! Showers in both rooms leaked on the bathroom floor. Not so much a problem after the first day since we knew to lay down towels. Mosquitoes were bad and bit us a lot -- maybe just in August? It was not easy to get to and from the main center of Florence. We knew in advance that it was on the outskirts, but did not realize the distance. Thought it was an 18 minute walk downhill, but it was closer to 25 (at least with 3 kids on narrow sidewalks). There is a bus right in front of the hotel that is very affordable, but only operates every 30 minutes. It brings you to the train station and then you would walk to the sights from there. Walking back to the hotel with 3 kids after a long day of sightseeing would not be practical at all. We spent a lot of money on cabs (and a lot of time since many cabs cannot take 5 people). So the distance from the sights was a bigger issue than we anticipated.

Close to city, but not right in it. Hotel feels like you are a hundred miles from any cities at all, but only a short bus or drive to Florence...fantastic. Great little bar/restaurant within a short walk. Charge for parking

It is very nice building and Staff is very friendly. There is one problem which is mosquitos . Management must find a solution for rooms to keep them away. You can see a lotf of dead mosquitos on the room walls and curtains. I would like to go back there for another vacation. mosquitos

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! It was lovely, intimate and well appointed for the price. The continental breakfast was excellent and the location was bang on...walking distance for everything. The room was huge ( we were in the front villa #22) for European standards, the children had a fantastic time especially at the end of a long day...swimming in the pool. I would definitely recommend this to my friends - in a heartbeat!! The bed was huge but hard- normal for europe, just takes some getting used to-also the menu for lunch and dinner could have a larger selection

The ambiance, the spacious room offered at price rate of 139 euro with a nice balcony. Well located a little outside the center (perfect if you have a car). Nice old style pool to refresh after walking in the city or day of work. The historical villa building and the outside park are a very beautiful mixture of art and history. Fantastic breakfast area on the terrace facing the swimming pool. Might be noisy at summer (with open windows) earing the sound of the cars on the adjacent streets. The extra costs for car parking might be avoided.

One of the Grand Hotels on Florence. Yes, it was a Palace and it still shows, beautiful garden, nice swimming pool and a lovely Foyer and Library and Terrace room and area. The breakfast is good and you even get an excellent Cappucino if you ask for it. A place to reflect, imagine the grandness of the medicis and prepare for the art and culture visit downtown Florence. Parking costs 10 Euros, which is ok and the internet usage is free

It is so beautiful a palace that I feel it is unique. The elegant decoration is really a plus. The bread is good and fresh. I like the dining place. Shower room is spacious. Good for a short stay. The staff are not friendly, they didnt offer any fresh coffee as other hotels and I thought this service is not included, not until the last day did i realize that you need to stop the "busy" waitress to ask for espresso. It is not standard four star service.

We appreciate very much the hotel staff not only for their professional attitude but also their carefulness. After leaving the hotel, we realized that we left our iphone in the room. We called the hotel and in less than 3 minutes, the hotel staff helped us to find the iphone. Apart from it, the hotel creates warm atmosphere so that we felt at home. The nostalgic villa hotel with very clean and modern bathroom, locating in a quiet district and not far away from downtown is a very convenient choice for travelers with car.

I love the Park Palace Hotel. I have stayed here twice. The staff are very helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the whole place is like a wonderful calm oasis in the hustle and bustle of Florence. We would definitely recommend and will stay here again when we return to Florence.

We adored this hotel - it is beautiful and elegant without being flashy. It has a perfect balance of traditional Florencian palazzi with subtle contemporary renovation. i.e. a contemporary fire surround with a very old fashioned original fireplace set within. The room we had was enormous and beautifully furnished. The setting is perfect with a view of the immediate and further away hills surrounding Florence. Tchaicovsky lived next door for a period! Above all of this, the staff are sublime. Beyond friendly and welcoming, they are at once at ease, relaxed and welcoming while remaining on top of their game with slick service. Nothing was an effort and everything was doable. It felt more like staying with family you were meeting for the first time. We were there for my partner's 50th birthday and they made it vey special without a glamorous fuss but just perfectly pitching congratulations and complimentary drinks - no fuss, no nonsense. Sublime! Bellisimmo, arrivederci. Jon Gilmartin

The historical atmosphere I was stuck in the bathroom because the "old style" door has a funny lock which I wasn't able to open. The staff rescued me promptly

My girlfriend and I took a weekend trip to Florence and absolutely loved the hotel. The staff was amazing. . The room was one of the best I've stayed in while living in Italy. Everything was easy to get to from the hotel. I will definitely recommend the hotel to everyone I know.

The staff were absolutely charming - the same as the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. They spoke great english and were great tour guides. The grounds and the hotel itself was like going back in time. Wonderful and very relaxing. The views of the countryside from our windows were beautiful. Breakfast buffet was also very good, but no cooked food. Bus stop right outside the door and buses ran regularly. Wifi and secure in ground parking at at small fee, but worth it. Would highly recommend it. A wonderful experience.

A fantastic welcome and extremely helpful staff. Rooms were large and very comfortable and service was discreet . Views from our third floor room balcony were beautiful. Public transport immediately outside the hotel gate took us to Florence centre. The dinner menu was limited and quite expensive though the food was of a good standard.

The staff's friendly welcome was the best part of this stay at the Park Palace. When they realized that I did not like my room they moved me to a far more spacious and beautiful room as soon as they could. I appreciated that they offered a restaurant this trip as I was tired on my arrival and just wanted a simple meal. My first room was the Alcova which I called the Alcava. They should have showed me the bathroom first as it was deluxe. Different lighting and an enlarged window would make this room cozy.

The room was beautiful with a balcony overlooking an outdoor tiled pool and large tree. The surrounding view was spectacular. The staff, in particular the young woman in the afternoon & evenings, was so helpful and friendly. We felt very welcomed and comfortable. There was a bus into the town center & one to the train station for our return to Milan.

Most enjoyable stay at the Park Palace Hotel. Easy access to the city of Florence with the bus stop right outside the hotel grounds. Excellent location, outside of the city, away from the maddening crowds. Very good buffet breakfast.
