The hotel was beautifully furnished. The swimming pool and terrace was so tranquil and a haven to come back to after a busy day sight-seeing. The staff are extremely helpful and breakfast was very good
The hotel only serves snacks in the evening.
The pool area is very nice. Breakfast was good.
Wi-fi did not work in our superior room. Only one restaurant within walking distance.
Perfect location for visiting Florence. Lovely villa perfect room, great breakfast lovely pool.
A timeless hotel with lovely staff, set in a tranquil spot. Steps away from a bus stop for the regular bus service or the hop on/hop off sightseeing tour bus or a 20/25 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. We stayed in the rooms separate from the house which I was a little disappointed with at first but ours were huge rooms and after comparing them with the hotel's rooms found they were above par in comparison. The pool is great to revive yourself after all the walking and the terrace and garden perfect for a relaxing drink, but beware the mosquito, have your spray at the ready! (We stayed July)
Breakfast was average but 'samey'. We stayed 7 nights and the choice was almost identical day in day out. Don't be afraid to ask for different fruit, or yoghurt, or more bread if the choice seems sparse as they always seemed to have more in the kitchen. The whole place could do with a bit of TLC as although it's a classic looking hotel it's also slightly jaded.
The size of the hotel made you feel welcome. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely location, very quiet hotel set in beautiful gardens and location just out side Florence. The architecture of the period building made you feel relaxed, comfortable and at home.
Would have preferred an option of eating in the hotel in the evening as there was not many restaurants local.
Too far from city centar.
We were made to feel very welcome at the Park Palace Hotel. The location is beautiful. Close enough to the centre of Florence to walk, but feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle. The room was also beautiful.
This is an ideal hotel for families with children traveling to Florence/tuscany for the first time! It is close enough to the city yet away from all the tourists with beautiful pool and garden. The staff way excellant and very attentive even though they have a small staff. A special thank you to Laura for her friendly and cheerful attitude!
Location, breakfast, access, nearby restaurant
Ineffective IT maintenance
Very helpful front desk staff. Very informative.
Not a great deal of restaurant locations nearby. A restaurant or bar in the hotel would be ideal.
The staff was very friendly and the hotel just a lovely place to stay if you want to be close to the city of Florence but still have some time to relax. The pool is marvellous, and the hotel itself a little Tuscan dream.
The breakfast wasn't really 4 star standard, but ok.
Great location to Florence. Private and relaxing with super friendly and service minded staff
Breakfast was tipically Italian and was lacking abot of variaty. For two-three days it is no problem, but for more then this it becomes abit uninteresting. A few options for eggs and hams would do wonders:)
Beautiful old house in lovely gardens; Peaceful location; Swimming pool; Lovely terrace and outside lounging areas; Staff; Great breakfast; Spacious bedrooms.
Restaurant not operational - would have almost made things perfect. Lovely location - but 20min walk into Florence
Enjoyed the brisk walk right into the centre of Florence Quiet location
Would have preferred to eat in the hotel in the evening but happily worked around the restaurant being closed
I loved the quaint style and overall feel of the hotel. The pool area felt like l was relaxing in a friend's backyard. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic with a variety of items. The room was incredibly comfortable with a lovely view of the Tuscan Hills. Wonderful beds.
We had to go out onto the patio to use the WiFi.
Lovely location! Pleasant and helpfull staff!
hotel services very basic. no access to desk top computer. more attention to rooms need upgrading of certain facilities. it was not a 4 star experience for myself and family.
No good restaurant nearbby
Nice location, could walk to the tourist intrests. Also clean rooms. We live in a villa next to the main building and has a lovely balcony. Breakfast very good.
The room is a little bit old.....TV too small
Beautiful clean room, lovely surrounding,Florence city centre reachable walking in 20 min
We liked everything
Felt like you were a rich Italian staying in your own villa. Incredibly comfortable and beautiful. My 7 year was enraptured with the pool.
Walls in our suite were a bit thin. We had noisy neighbor.
We loved the area. We lived the people . Our villa room was so much more than we expected. The service was outstanding.
1. Hotel staff were very welcoming and smiley 2. Hotel is in a lovely building 3. It is a nice distance from the centre to get away from the intensity of fellow tourists and relax. 4.
If you only have a short time in Florence you may like to be nearer. Although it is only 20 minutes walking from Ponte Vecchio. Frankly I think the pleasant surroundings outweighs the short walk.
Beautiful old Villa, perfect for relaxing after lots of sightseeing, bus outside the hotel, 10 min ride to Florence historic centre, nice terrace overlooking the garden with swimming pool.
pine needles in the pool
The location is very nice, on the hills of Florence but still close to the city centre. The old Villa is very stylish and cosy. The pool in the garden is a great asset, in particular on hot summer days.
The breakfast is average and could be improved
