Score from 191 reviews Wonderful
The staff in the restaurant and reception were very helpful and friendly. Dinner was really delicious and very reasonably priced. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, ham, brie, cereal, yogurt and three different types of cakes. The bedroom was spacious with a really nice view. The hotel is suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Location of the hotel is good for exploring northern Tuscany. Adjacent private car parking is good, although I found the 10 euro per day charge excessive. Hotel has a very nice lounge area and decent swimming pool. The lady cleaning our room was excellent and got a well deserved tip.
Upgraded to a superior room to ensure a balcony, unfortunately the room walls were paper thin and two bathrooms were adjacent to our room. Therefore quite alot of noise from the bathrooms could be heard in our room including one individual who on several nights needed to be sick. Our sleep therefore was interupted on more than one occasion. After 4 nights the air conditioning was turned off centrally by the management even though some of the nights were still fairly warm. When questioned the management said someone had complained that it was cold plus that the air conditioning "costs alot of money". Considering that each room had individual controls for the air con I found this to be a lame excuse and a lack of customer care. Owners were generally aloof and had very little interaction with guests apart from a few obvious favourites. The head waiter and his assistant certainly wouldnt find employment in any half decent restaurant. Having travelled in Italy for over 20 years I found the hotel including the restaurant struggled to attain an average mark.
Location was good
I was staying in the ground floor of building next to hotel. It was quite noisy when people upstairs used bathroom facilities.
Wonderful views of Montecatini Alto. Quiet as it was near the end of the season, helpful staff.
Evening meals very authentic Italian with limited choice.
Good breakfast, clean
No tea making facilities in room, decor bit dated, shower in bath with glass screen a bit difficult to get in and out of.Could do with a proper bar area rather than a small corner.no draught beer
Friendly efficient staff. Well run family hotel. Good location.
Parking not on site. About ten minutes walk away.
Hotel is in a perfect position. Very nice staff and helpful. The room was comfortable and the housekeeping was excellent.
Breakfast was plentiful but lacked variety.
The environment was addressed to welcome all users and all felt that was achieved
Bar was a bit limited but had little effect
Staff was very friendly, room was clean - Bathroom was new and nice made. Terrace Outside is very nice for a glas of Prosecco...
Breakfast just until 09:45
Amenities very close by, park area to walk and run.
Unfortunately road works on the main street proved a challenge in terms of finding the hotel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.Food and facilities were very good. It's location is excellent. The train station is nearby which enables you to travel to places like Pisa, Florence and many more places.
The shower wasn't working properly with no power in it. The internet service wasn't brilliant.
- very friendly and supportive staff. - very neat and clean rooms. - free parking near hotel (staff suggested this which is another plus) - Good food (we had half board which means entree, main course and dessert; something different every day which gives you a great sense of the italian kitchen).
- the fact that we had to go home.
10 minute walk fom the train station. Much less to the thermal spas. 5 minutes to the funicular. Towels and sheets changed daily.
Unable to change the air con temps. Shower door ridiculous design flood to bath room each time used.
Very nice staff and reliable, room was clean.
Wonderful place, excellent rooms, great food.Special thanks to Pasquale, Marco and Ilenia.Thank you for caring, mood and smiles. Galina and Georgi Georgievi
Friendly and helpful staff
Showers could be better
Friendly staff, nice and quite pool area. Conveniently located. Perfect size if you are looking for relaxing holiday.
Location Breakfast (excellent range of food) Charming town
poor attitude car parking joke breakfast cooked food city tax
This hotel was the least expensive and yet most luxurious of our trip to Italy. The rooms are quite opulently decorated, plenty of storage. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful. The pool was great for a dip on a hot day. Plenty of sun loungers and you get pool towels to use. Great location in Montecatini Terme - a few minutes walk away from everything but not on the busier and nosier main thoroughfares. The breakfast was best we had in our trip - lots of choice. Dinner was also really good. There weren't many families with children at this hotel, although perhaps because it wasn't yet school holidays. We would definitely recommend this place. In fact, we have!
The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming. The ambiance ,the professional service ,the pool and the food were all excellent. Free wifi in the foyer was appreciated. Every day the rooms were cleaned and fresh towels were given. Breakfast in the morning offered a good selection with REAL espresso /cappuccino coffee. Montecatini is a lovely town to visit with many parks, cafes and restaurants. When we were visiting there were music concerts on in the evening which were free.Montecatini Alto is also worth a visit and to see the art nouveau Tettuccio Spa.We had a really great time .Thank you so much to all staff at the hotel.
Nothing. A small point - Remember to ask at reception about the spa discount card which gives a 10% discount to all the spas as we didn't know about this till into our holiday. Would be good to have more information on what is going on in the town such as the concerts etc.at the hotel reception. Expect to pay between 10-15 euros for a taxi to and from the station.
A most professionally managed hotel happy staff who made one more than welcome, were unfailingly helpful. Well decorated spaces for relaxation and a pool -salt water
Nothing the best of all the hotels Booking found for me
Location was central
Room was very basic and dated. Breakfast was woefully poor and cheap, the pool area only had 6 sunbeds and 4 chairs and the soundproofing between rooms non existent so you could hear all activities in the bathroom bathroom above - rather embarrassing!
The swimming pool and garden are very nice.the hotel is very clean.our bedroom was good.
The staff at the front desk could be more helpful they seemed impatient when inquires were made.
Hotel well situated Very smart and clean hotel. Rooms were well cleaned daily and towels changed. Good sized outdoor pool with warm water! Good breakfast selection.
Had no warning until arrived at hotel that there is an annex and we were located in it. However the standard of the annex was every bit as good as the main hotel building, it was very close to the main building and after the initial surprise we very much enjoyed being located there.
