Good value for money, great shower facilities, excellent breakfast in a beautiful room, little bit too far for us walking into the markets, and main shopping area. Staff very helpful..
Need tea facilities in room, a good cuppa at the end of a long walking day goes a long way
An easy 10-15 min. walk to the center; staff friendly and helpful; good breakfast by Italian standards; good value at its usual rate. Would stay again.
My room had a mosquito problem (because the maid opened the windows when she cleaned?).
the night light from the corridor through the door. it is unbelievable in a 4 star rated hotel.
There's a 15-minute walk from the hotel to the train station from which you can travel to Venice. There rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Great breakfast buffet.
There's only one large table in the breakfast room so you will be sharing your meal with other guests.
Quiet design hotel on a long side street, accessible to everything on foot for good walkers. Stylish throughout, with innovative breakfast dining + bar & terrace facilities. A superb restaurant nearby completed yet another fine stay!
Needs better signage at sidewalk level for guests arriving/returning on foot. I walked right by it at night though I had been there before & had to request helped at a retiree center (that looked it up & called) fortunately nearby.
Convenient location for both the railway station (17 minutes walk pulling a suitcase) and the old town (10 minutes stroll). Excellent breakfast. We had a lovely room at the back of the hotel which had a huge modern bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. Our room was very quiet. We stayed for six days and were able to visit Venice and Vicenza as well as exploring Padua. If I returned to Padua I would stay here again.
Nothing. However the communal breakfast table might not be to everyones liking but we didn't mind.
This was our second stay at Hotel Patavium and again found it very pleasant, clean, and comfortable. It is located on a quiet street not too far from the train station, St. Anthony and Centro, all easy walks. Good location for day trips to Venice and Verona. The breakfast buffet is good with espresso or cappuccino freshly made. The internet work well and without any problems. Good value and would recommend this hotel to others.
There was some problems with the electrical switching off on one part of the room but the staff quickly fixed the problem.
Was very surprised by accommodations as a few reviews on here were somewhat negative. I am very picky and I was so impressed on size of room, great bathroom, and having a 24 hour staff which is rare in Italy in smaller hotels. Great pizza place across the street and cafe next door. Easy walk to train station or to Centro. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that.
Good hotel for a visit in Padova. Very nice and helpful staff. Our room off the street was very silent.
The breakfast; the room's comfort, cleaness; the staff's diligence
That second time, nothing!
The room's comfort, even for a standart one; the team's kindness; the breakfast above all.
Perhaps being awoken by some scrapping and drilling on the other side of the window around 8 in the morning the last two days...
The room was clean, elegant with a large terrace. Large and modern bathroom. Breakfast was good and could be served in a very nice garden. Not far from city center- 10 min walk
Everything was ok
We had superior family room and this room was big enought. Receptionist as well as the man at breakfast room was very friendly and helpful.
Very clean Very helpful stuff excellent room Parking - very reasonable price Beautiful & elegant setup
Took 15m walk to the train station. No eggs on Bkfast
Terrace! Car park nearby.
Rooms very impersonal, Sliding door from the toilet to the main bedroom.not ideal Big table for breakfast meant that if you were down late could not sit with your other half/family. Staff not over friendly, seemed to attract more german/dutch visitors. Hard to get to by car as horrendous 1 way system around Padua,
Nice quiet room, even though we were at the front. Clean with nice bathroom, comfy bed. Excellent breakfast, not too busy, always got an outside patio table. Hardly saw any other guests. Fridge and hair dryer. Air con and wi fi. Would definitely go again. Good bar and delicatessen next door. Perfect base for what we needed..Staff helpful but unobtrusive.
No complaints. Ideal for what we wanted.
Decor, cleanliness, confort
public bus service (opposite hotel) not very reliable
Easy 15 minute walk from central station. Room clean but fairly small.
Had to ring for assistance at check late morning. Was locked out of main entrance in evening and they provide no key to front door. Electricity kept going out in room.
I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the young receptionist .
Newly refurbished hotel with all comforts, helpful staff, good breakfast and great location (in a quiet area not far from the city centre).
It was a lovely, clean hotel and our room was very nice and comfortable. The bathroom was quite spacious and the continental breakfast was fantastic with really good coffee!
When we arrived to check in to our room, the man at the desk was unfriendly and impolite. A very disappointing first impression, but the other staff were very friendly and helpful.
Everybody seems to rate Hotel Patavium high on their lists. Expecting something verging on the ultimate accomodation we were extremely disappointed. On the plus side the hotel is handy to town and not too far from the train station. The room was comfortable and it was nice to receive several English channels on the TV. The breakfast was pleasant and it was nice to be able to eat in the garden.
We stayed at the hotel for a week. We were disappointed that the room had no facilities for making tea or coffee. The staff told us they would be happy to provide water for tea. They didn't tell us that we would be charged E2 for a teabag! Beware also that if you stay for a while and need a laundry there is not one across the road as the staff told us there was. The nearest is by bus in the centre of town. Our air conditioning broke down at the beginning of the weekend and was not working properly again until the beginning of the following week. With temperatures around 30 degrees I wondered why I was paying them money for sleepless nights. To top off the ordeal they tried to charge us for a breakfast we did not have. Our breakfast was not included in the original booking as my partner rarely has breakfast. I was prepared to pay for the breakfasts I had at the end of the stay. What upset me was that they tried to make out that it was my fault and that I should be paying for the breakfast I didn't have. I would have thought with the problems with the air conditioning they could have least thrown in a couple of free teabags!!!. Their customer service needs to be seriously looked into.
Only one big long breakfast table every one had to share
Much more than we expected, we will go back... near some great restaurants as well
...but the WiFi did not work, we had a front bedroom, the AC was not working but it was hot so we had window open... lot of noise on the street....but we will go back but ask for a rear room.
