The Hotel Pellegrino was an excellent choice for our recent trip to the Amalfi coast. the room was spotlessly clean and we loved having a veranda that overlooked the sea. Our host, Luigi, and his delightful wife, were supportive without being intrusive, and anticipated our needs. Each day Lugi helped us plan our outing with up-to-date information and suggestions. We recommend it highly.
The owner Luigi Rispoli hands on excellent host , knows what the guest needs and delivers without reservations. All the herbs growing on property utilized to make an excellent breakfast everyday. Will definitely revisit when he has a full time chefcooking full meals. That would be a treat if he is anything like Luigi .The better experience of this European Trip
For a 3 star I cannot really complain
Everything at Hotel Pellegrino was 5 Star. The Hotel and Staff are simply amazing ... Luigi and staff are the best! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would not think of staying anywhere else on the Amalfi Coast. In fact we are planning our next vacation to go back for another stay,
Luigi is the ultimate host! He is without a doubt the number one reason this hotel is rated the best in the area. He does everything possible to ensure you have a fantastic visit from meeting you at the door of your car as you pull up, to giving you a bottle of wine to enjoy on their top deck then another bottle to enjoy on your private deck. He balances attention and privacy perfectly. The view is amazing from the hotel and the breakfast was the best meal of our trip! Can't say enough good things about Luigi, his wife and the hotel. Perfect.
Would have loved a hot tub or bath to soak in but hardly worth even mentioning considering every other aspect is ideal.
The hospitality was the best. Our room was very large, clean and comfortable, with views of the sea from the balcony. The food was the best we ate in all of our days in Italy and dined each night during out stay at Hotel Pelligrino. Thank you Luigi and Sandra.
Great service from a family run business. Great location Great Views Great Food
In a beautiful scenic area, the Hotel Pellegrino was just the right addition to our trip. The service was immediate and always as requested. The food was varied, interesting and prepared with loving care and served by the family. Luigi was helpful in every way from driving us to town or giving excellent advice on trip and transportation options. The value for the cost was exceptional. It made for a wonderful experience.
The food was so good that I always ate too much.
This was our honeymoon, and we went to wonderful hotels in Rome and Florence -- but Pellegrino took the cake. The gratuitous views from our balcony were just incredible. But what really set this place apart was the hospitality and the food. Luiggi and his family run the place, and they're so nice. His wife is the sweetest lady, and a pleasure to talk to. The dinners at the hotel were better than several of the restaurants we went to at other cities. If you're looking for a great experience with a hotel that feels like family, this is it.
The wi-fi service was really spotty throughout our stay there.
The hotel is amazing, situated in a perfect location with a breathtaking view of the coastline. Luigi and his family is so accommodating that they literally will anything to make your holiday the best experience you ever experienced. My husband and I are very experienced travellers and we both agree hotel pellegrino was one of the most amazing place we ever been (even better than the shangri-la hotels...) This experience was so good that we were so sad to leave. One night we had dinner at the hotel and the food quality was impeccable, fresh, and so yummy. Breakfast in the morning was really big and just sublime!!! This hotel should have 5+ stars really a magical place.
We couldn't recommend this place more highly. You will be cared for as if you are family. Hotel Pellegrino is an exceptional value and one of the best places we stayed anywhere in Italy. The owner Luigi went above and beyond every day to make us feel at home. Completely agree with other reviews - the food at Hotel Pellegrino is EXCEPTIONAL. Dinner the night we arrived was so good, we decided we didn't want to eat anywhere else for our three-night stay. Every night, Luigi had new items using fresh ingredients of the day. His garden is right across the road from the hotel, and the produce was incredible. Loved the breakfast with eggs, ripe tomato, pastries, meat, and cappuccinos. For dinner, we tried seafood risotto, grilled scampi, many pastas, steak, grilled fish, and all the deserts. Everything we tried was phenomenal. Luigi made us feel at home and cared for. He gave us bus tickets, directions, anything we needed. The rooms were lovely and romantic. Walking to Praiano was easy, and from there we found a staircase that led to the Convent and the Path of the Gods hiking trail. Hotel Pellegrino was worth every penny, and Luigi was the best host we encountered on our travels.Thank you, Luigi! We'll be back!
The staff at Hotel Pellegrino went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Luigi organised a lift for us to take us down to the local restaurant. When he discovered we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary during the trip, he gave us a beautiful handpainted bottle of Limoncello as a gift. I would definately recommend this hotel.
Everything. We loved our stay and with many travel experiences under our belts this will be one of our favourites. Highly recommended.
The hotel owner and his family were perfect hosts , The food is amazing ,as were the room and view from the balcony . parking was secure and easy under the hotel , We could not fault this hotel , Wish we could have stayed longer .
Saying goodbye !!!
Luigi and Angela are the most wonderful and generous people! From the moment we arrived they made us feel as though we were on holidays visiting family! Nothing was too much for them. Angela picked us up from the marina, Luigi booked our bus tickets to Rome for us and even drove us to the bus stop and waited to make sure we got on ok. We were treated like royalty the whole time we were there! The room we stayed in had a beautiful view, was very spacious and had an incredible newly renovated bathroom! We ate at the hotel twice for dinner and were given a few complementary Italian style dishes to try! You will never go hungry here- the food is incredible and it just keeps coming! On the last day, they let us hang out at the hotel after check out until our bus came and even included us in their family lunch at no extra cost! If you want the Italian 'be apart of the' family style holiday you definately want to stay here! Thank you for having us! We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Really does have AMAZING food for a family run place. We ate there twice out of our three nights in the area even though there was plenty of other options. There is also a lovely terrace which catches just the right amount of sun. And excellent music and the hosts are very attentive and gracious. Completely recommend it. Also the WiFi is excellent (medium speed but excellent reception) throughout the hotel and right in your room as well.
It is on the main coastal road so there is a bit of noise with the traffic but it is also quite convenient, relatively for being out of town, its about 5 mins walk into town.
This was the most fantastic hotel, with amazing service. The hotel's terrace restaurant is sublime and the food is the best - we ate there every night. Luigi and his sister were perfect hosts and kindly drove us to the nearby marina. Our room was exquisite - loved the shower!
It was an amazing hotel and I cannot wait to get back. The hospitality was incredible and I will never forget this hotel. I can't thank them enough for the amazing experience they gave us. We were a small group of frequent travelers- we all loved it!!!
The owners are very kind people - they go out of their way to make sure you're happy. They are also very generous when dining in at their restaurant, offering limencello, etc for free after dinner. Rooms are simple but totally comfortable. The seaview room balcony was huge and very pretty (with two banana lounges!)
The hotel and staff were the highlight of our trip. The location is wonderful with amazing views over the coast and Praiano. Nothing was too much for Luigi, he was so personable and made our stay exceptionally relaxing, especially after a +24 hour transit, advising on restaurants and locations to visit and avoid along the coast. You don't get service like this anymore!
That we couldn't stay for longer
Family owned, beautifully appointed, extrordinary meals, phenomenal vistas! Luigi and his wife and daughter obviously love what they do and it shines with all their "extras". away from the crowds yet accessible. LOVE THIS PLACE!!
Our room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful Amalfi coast was ideal. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant every night of our stay and it was the highlight of our trip, each night we were treated to new flavors of the Amalfi, and the breakfast was outstanding.
I wish we could have stayed longer.
Great views of the ocean, since the hotel is quite far up. Luigi and his family gave the best service, especially in the restaurant, where the food was excellent. the room was also very nice and had everything needed. Luigi was also helpful with any info on trips or so so on and helping with moving the car, etc. everything went smoothly, wish could have stayed longer.
a bit of noise, since its close to the main road, but not majorly bad.
This is the place to go if you need some quiet time in one of the most beautiful coast areas in the world. Luigi and his sister are so helpful. When the SITA bus passed us by (full), he rushed to the rescue with a lift to Positano, literally chasing after the bus.
The hotel is a bit on the outskirts of town (Praiano) so it is a 10-15 min. walk or travel by car if you want to eat in a restaurant outside the hotel. But again, Luigi is always ready to give you a ride (no charge) to/from a restaurant if you want to sample the wines and limoncello.
We were taken care of very well by Luigi and his family.
What a wonderful place! The perfect hotel to discover the breathtaking Almalfi coast!
