Castello Di Tavolara stands in the center of the glamorous and historic tourist village of Porto San Paolo, 165 ft from the beach. A shuttle bus to/from the airport is available for an additional fee....
Score from 152 reviews Excellent
Hotel Stefania is located in Lido di Pittulongu, in front of Tavolara Island, just 3 miles from Olbia, the harbor and international airport of Olbia Costa Smeralda.
Score from 125 reviews Very good
Offering panoramic views out over the Emerald Coast with granite rocks and the island of Caprera, Villa del Golfo has a large terrace with swimming pool. It features luxury rooms and suites.
Score from 125 reviews Excellent
Surrounded by a large green valley, Hotel Don Diego is a 4-star hotel right on the coast of Sardinia, just 7.5 miles south of Olbia Airport.
Score from 59 reviews Very good
Quiet, calm, comfortable hotel, responsive staff. Nice location for viewing the coast - if you rent a car, the hotel has a parking.
no wi-fi in the room, no wi-fi in the restaurant
Very nice Hotel, clean, stylish, great location. Very nice rooms... modern... clean, nice bathrooms. Lovely terrace for breakfast and dinner... with fantastic view over the sea side. Very nice sandy beach (small bay, but beautiful). Crystal clear emerald water, still very warm end of September (25 degrees). Friendly staff... Very nice breakfast (continental) with fresh fruits, etc... huge open terrace... very elegant... Pure relaxation! For someone who needs a relaxing holiday! I would go there again!!! 100%
You need a car to move around.... unless you want to see the area or go to different places. Prices for dinner in hotel (if payed separately ) are far too expensive...good foof, but very high prices.... (for Italy)
Room was modern and clean. Bar area is nice.
Mattress was very hard and the noise of the neighbours kept me awake. The walls are paper thin and you can literally hear what they're saying. Don't go there for the beach either! It's tiny and not at all as nice as the pictures they put on this website. I've been to other resorts in Sardinia with much nicer beaches. I think it's also too close to Olbia to have clean water, the harbour is close. What I also don't appreciate is that what I requested at time of booking was not taken into account and I feel like this was done on purpose to make me pay for an upgrade. I was travelling with someone who has difficulties walking so this makes it even more inappropriate. But the 'upgrade' room didn't even have a window so it is not even nicer (unless you want to leave the door open where other guests walk and leave you with no privacy). Also, if you book a standard room you are not entitles to a chair on the grass (the 'garden') in front of the beach, so basically you are a second-rate guest. It wouldn't be a problem if the beach was big enough but like I said, it's so tiny people end up finding a place on the public beach next door without a beach chair. We had a rental so we could escape, without a car you're really in the wrong location.
we have had great holidays in this hotel. Location is nice. If you can go for Junior Suite on the beach.
It is better to have a car in Sardinia.
Not realy cleaned (bath)room, not up to date furniture, very overcrowded and laud beach before the hotel (crossing a street by going to the beach is necessary), limited public transport, stuff not very helpfull, no internet access in the rooms.
restaurant location reception staff transfer room beach scenery wifi private transfer
size of suite (too small) aeroplanes overhead
We adored the kitchen. Chef was magnificent. Although tried few other good restaurants, we decided that better to have dinner in the hotel coz the dishes you get for that price were not possible to find anywhere else. The private beach was just perfect. Connected to the hotel you don't have to walk more that 50 m between your room and the sea. Beach was being cleaned every day. And staff was very nice, friendly and helping you no matter what problem you had. We loved it and may visit the hotel again next year.
The only minus is the location. A bit remote to attractions. Taxi is extremely expensive and you need to rent a car to go around if you are bored in the hotel. The other thing which may be bothering is the airplane noise due to being close to airport but we were just fine with it.
Beach front location, very nice receptionist
We have been travelling all around Sardinia's coast. Mainly staying in B&Bs. Wanted to treat ourselves with a nice hotel. We picked the wrong one. Nothing special at all, limited breakfast and other dining options, meals were nice but very small portions. WiFi not available in rooms, only in the lobby. Thin walls, we could hear people talking in the corridor. Small shower. Thoughorly dissapointed! Don't waste your money on this standard hotel. Whoever gave it 4 stars should be fired.
Hotel is placed at Pittulongu which is close to Olbia and Golfo Aranchi and Porto Rotodo. To Porto Cervo 36 km. It is spacious hotel with two buildings one is at the beach and other just across the small street. It has beautiful pool with sun-beds and small fitness zone with three cardio machines. The view from there is beautiful. The beach part has two areas one is on grass and one on send. There are two showers. Towels for beach and pool get from hotel. Breakfast is just prefect with different kind of food and in very nice restaurant. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is in garage and safe. For this place like for every place in Sardinia you have to be with car. The only thing that Iz was not satisfied was wifi which don't work in room just in pool beach and restaurant area. Go to this hotel prefect place and good value for money!
Wi fi didn't work in room
We chose it because of the location on the beach and the fact that it was close to Olbia. There are some good restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance. Good bus service into Olbia.
We didn't appreciate how small the private beach was. On the website you are given the impression that other sun loungers are available for use in the garden area next to the beach BUT these cannot be used unless you have booked a garden suite. Didn't like that at all! Private beach was full on our first day so we used the public beach next door and continued to do so for the week that we were there.
The room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view.
The hotel doesn't have good beach. The restaurant is weak.
excellent staff, good food and room
crowded beach and public beach right next to the Pellegrino beach. Gym above our room, 8 am in the morning fitness person on the tread mill every morning. Taxis expensive, no taxis in near by towns, Buses infrequent if at all.
Staff are excellent and the restaurant is very good.
Need a car unless you wish to be at the hotel or their beach all day. Only good restaurant we found nearby was the Mamabeach restaurant.
We chose this hotel for our honeymoon and were very pleased with our choice. Hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. Great service, as the staff is very polite and professional. We loved drinks and snack on the private beach of this hotel. Hotel restaurant offered also very fine and delicious dinner.
The staff were delightful, very helpful and fun. the design of the hotel was elegant. menu was simple and cooking superb. Restaurant overlooking beach and beautiful scenery. Eat in or out. Lovely pool. We enjoyed it more than any other hotel we have ever been.
The staff at the hotel were all pleasant and very helpful. They were able to provide all the services (car hire, bus routes, ferry crossings) that we asked for and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is located right on the beach, is on a main bus route to Olbia and is within walking distance of several good local restaurants. We had a fabulous relaxing holiday and want to go back to Sardinia to explore more of the island.
Olbia was not that interesting a place and Pittulongu had just about enough to keep us interested and occupied for a week because we hired a car for a couple of days.
Nothing was a problem for staff. The cleanliness everywhere was super. Secure car parking was nice.
Eating all meals at the hotel would be expensive. Price for lunch is not advertised. Sun beds in the green area before the beach were reserved, I.e. Not for use by mere mortals that had just booked a standard room.
The hotel was amazing and staff couldn't be more helpful. Set in a beautiful location on the beach.
In a very quiet area. You need a car to get around. Food at hotel nice but very pricey and no light snack options for lunch especially when you can't go anywhere else to eat.
very good food in restaurant, nice hotel, beach for free
All staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Beach is nice, restaurant is very good (don't expect too much of a breakfast though, it's ok, but not 'wow'). Location is good: not too far from the Airport (you can reach Olbia by bus) and if you rent a car you can easily see the whole Costa Smeralda in a day or two. The rooms have been refreshed in April 2014! We loved it!
Wifi is not available in the rooms.
