Hotel Pendini  

Our superior double room was magnificent. It overlooked Republic Square which was always full of activity but our double glazed windows were very effective in reducing the noise penetration into the room to the extent that noise was never a problem. We stayed in several hotels in our 3 week visit to Italy & Pendini was the best. The staff were very helpful. The buffet Breakfast was excellent. The location was so convenient to all of the historic sights and within easy walking distance of the train station. Perfect.

The hotel is really in the center of Florence, you can go everywhere by foot. Is next to a Piazza where every day there is a different attraction and good restaurants for coffee or wine in the afternoon. I stayed with my family in different rooms and there was some confusion with the bookings but the staff resolved the problem right away. The hotel has a beautiful old style decoration and the rooms are large.

I had some trouble finding the hotel. The numbers in the street weren’t in order and there was no sign in front that we could know the hotel was there. I had to ask in the pharmacy in the corner.

great location on piazza de la repubblica. large bright room overlooking Piazza. comfortable bed. Not noisy but that maybe because we did not have windows open as the weather was cool. Not sure if you would want to overlooking the square in summer as I do not think there is air conditioning. would recommend the hotel to others as great value and location. no frills.

Central location, close to major sights.

A noisy position at Plaza Republica, a party seldom ends before morning.

Perfect central location. Five minutes walk from Uffizi and Duomo. Good quality beds and linen. Clean and comfortable.

Bedroom really needed redecorating and updating. Looked like it was last done in the 1980's and was very "tired".

The wonders of Florence within walking distance. Close to trains, markets, galleries and gourmet restaurants. Really enjoyed stay in comfortable room overlooking gorgeous piazza. So going back!

So-so breakfast - (but with dozens of options on your doorstep, who cares?)

You can not find any best location any where . The hotel is close to all the shopping and major sights.

The problem was if you are staying on the 3rd floor you will not be able to sleep very much becasue the plumbing running the whole night through. The breakfast is limit and breakfast room is out date looking-

Nothing specific, it's not a new hotel. It was slightly cold in the room but ac does help.

Courteous staff, excellent location central to Florence. Breakfast salon was a nice way to start the day, rooms were comfortable, clean and adequately roomy.

This stupid 3 euro tax they have added should be discussed right in the beginning. We had one person leave after one night to get back for classes and didn't notify them as what difference would it normally make. Ended up paying tax for someone who wasn't in the room, which is a small thing but annoying.

The location was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included for us and was perfect and plentiful. We were travelling with our parents and were pleased to see there was a lift for them as we were on the 3rd floor. Hotel was quiet, taxi stand just around the corner and only 2 minutes from major attractions and markets so excellent location. Rooms were spacious and was great having a king size bed, although bathroom compact but serviceable. Would definitely recommend staying here.
