The location was great. Adjacent to a square/plaza, and walking distance to almost everything. The entrance was extremely difficult to locat, even with GPS instructions. A small plaque on the wall, and a sign INSIDE a hallway noted the lobby location on the 4th floor. Would have been very convenient to note that it is next to the Ferrari Store!

Our superior double room was magnificent. It overlooked Republic Square which was always full of activity but our double glazed windows were very effective in reducing the noise penetration into the room to the extent that noise was never a problem. We stayed in several hotels in our 3 week visit to Italy & Pendini was the best. The staff were very helpful. The buffet Breakfast was excellent. The location was so convenient to all of the historic sights and within easy walking distance of the train station. Perfect.

We are a mature couple and spent our first night in Italy at the Hotel Pendini. It was centrally located. The staff was lovely and helpful. The hotel was beautifully elegant. Our room was small but adequate/ And breakfast was ample and delicious. Would definitely return when back in Florence. Highly recommend this hotel. Jill & Ken

Very central in the city, fantastic air conditioning, good breakfast. Very historic location. Very difficult to drive to due to tricky one-way streets. Check-in is complicated since there is no dorrman/valet and the lobby is on the 4th floor. We had an extremely unfriendly evening-time clerk who was not helpful, but then other staff who were very friendly.

The location is perfect, just in the Piazza del Duomo (although the entrance is in a small street). Despite the small bathroom, the room is quite acceptable. The staff was friendly and increased the heating of our room after we requested it. The elevator is quite small (2 people, or 3 if you squeeze yourself a little bit). The bathroom (in our room) was small as well, although the rest of the room was quite acceptable. We felt really cold the first night: there's no radiator in the room, except in the bathroom, and the heating is done with an air conditioner. After we requested, the staff increased the heating in our room.

Exactly in the center of the sites of Florence. Five minutes from the Duomo, Piazza la Signora and Santa Croce. Not posh but good value. No safe in room.

Spent one night with my 9 year old daughter. We loved it. Great location. We had a non-smoking room with a balcony that looked out onto Piazza della Repubblica with a table and two chairs. Free wi-fi, satellite TV. Breakfast was not spectacular, but nothing substandard for the most part: bread, rolls, cheese and cured meats, cereal, croissants and cake. Orange juice, yoghurt, milk, tea and coffee. Great value for the money. I would definitely go back. Lots of channels on the satellite TV, but nothing in English. Maybe I am being nitpicky, but the remote control for the TV decoder only worked if I held the remote above my head and pointed it directly at the little blue light on the decoder, which made channel surfing a bit of a hassle. I couldn't figure out how to operate the heater, which continuously blew lots and lots of hot air nonstop all the time, but opening the bathroom window solved the problem. The coffee from the coffee machine in the breakfast room was, by far, not the best that I have had.

The location of the hotel in the central square of Florence was excellent as we could walk to all the places of interest readily. The staff are efficient and helpful and information provided is accurate. The Continental breakfast was varied and quality excellent and all produce was replenished quickly. Numerous restaurants but few cafes nearby. The bedrooms allocated were very clean and comfortable although the bathroom in one of the rooms was very small. The decore was to our liking with corridors with old paintings, pictures etc and the delux bedroom had original frescoes on the ceiling which were attractive. The view over the main square of Florence was an added bonus. Generally, good value for money and provided an excellent base for sight seeing. The entrance corridor and small lift was not not up to expectation. The hotel does not have tea or coffee making facilities in bedrooms as one hascome to expect in hotels of this quality.

View of the Piazza de Republica was great. Bathroom was tiny. Food for breakfast was good but was the same every morning. Need to mix it up. Croissants were the cheap variety not authentic.

Location, location, location. Relatively well-kept, comfortable bed, strong shower and helpful staff. A bit over-priced for a 3-star given it's low season. Poor selection of bread at breakfast (especially brown bread) and the coffee is from a vending- type machine - not very good. I expected better coffee.

Location was perfect as we could easily walk to all the places we wanted to visit. We're interested in Art & history so there was plenty to occupy us within a short distance. Going in January meant there were no queues anywhere and we were very lucky with the weather 16c, sunny & clear skies. Staff were particularly friendly and welcoming. Piazza della Republica had live music each evening that was a little loud as our room overlooked the square.

“The location was great. Walking distance from the train station (be sure to get directions as we walked in the wrong direction) and walking distance to all the main sites. The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was small (but you're in a city after all), and it was very clean and modern. When i return to Florence I would definitely stay here again! ” Theresa, East Brunswick |
