Offering refined accommodations just 440 yards from Santa Maria Novella train station, the Grand Hotel Adriatico is in central Florence, a 10-minute walk from Florence’s Duomo.
Score from 1285 reviews Very good
Its location - practically in the main square. Loved the decor.
The location was perfect to see all the sights of Florence. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Showers were great after many poor ones at other places.
Internet not great. Breakfast had limited choice in comparison to others. At night there was a lot of noise which sounded like pipes/ plumbing noise in the walls.
Centrally located. room is comfortable though a bit cramped for space. very good service. Free wifi is very good -- the best among three hotels in italy i stayed in.
Excellent location, very kind staff, and nice breakfast!
There were some people talking loud in a corridor at night, and it was quite noisy.
The noise of airconditioner
Fantastic location!! Very helpful staff.
Exceeded all our expectations, particularly given price. Managed to please all of the family, from small child to aged (wheelchair dependent) mother-in-law! 2 bed family suite was great (and quiet), location was perfect, and the staff very helpful. Thank you!
The hotel is well located and immaculately clean. The dining room for breakfast is a light filled room with a variety of choice. There is also another lounge are which is well furnished and lovely to sit with a quiet drink & good book. The staff are polite and very helpful. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.
The wifi is a little slow however still works well.
Everything. Staff, room, bath, breakfast, location -- all were wonderful. Will definitely stay there again.
Lovely hotel, near train station, breakfast included, close to attractions. Staff friendly.
in a great position, near everything, staff were very nice, room was big and bathroom, the location was the great
The authentic Italian old world charm of this beautiful old hotel was a highlight of our stay in Florence. The decor added to the experience of Florence. It's central location was ideal and the generous breakfast in the delightful dining room meant you were not hungry for the morning . Carlo the manager was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Outstanding value for money, if you can cope with some stairs, no need to consider any where else!
Excellent location. Loved the reading area/drinks area where you could have a quiet drink. The whole hotel was just tastefully decorated, very charming. Breakfast had plenty of options. Afternoon tea that was available for a small price, at 5€ each, was excellent.
Squeaky floorboards but that's only minor.
Great location Good breakfast Helpful staff
everything - accessible location, helpful staff and breakfast was great. Wifi connection was good too unlike some other hotels as stayed
Room can be a little noisy given that the hotel is located near the square
Perfect location, friendly staff, clean, quiet
Wifi was slow
The cleanses and the convince.
Too small elevators.
The location was perfect, everything easily walkable. We had a family room - two connected rooms with a shared bath - worked great for us! Staff was great, happy to store out luggage for us through the afternoon on the day we checked out.
As others have said, the entrance is a little difficult to find. We drove in, and that/parking was a huge challenge as well...but expected since they are in the heart of the old town. Breakfast was okay - not amazing or anything.
Located on the 3rd & 4th floors of arched building on the Piazza della Republica, the location is perfect for walking to every major site in Florence. The hotel gives you the feeling of elegant touring of a past era but with all the modern amenities. Breakfast featured good selection in a lovely, bright room. Despite the major street & the very busy weekend on the Piazza, we didn't hear a sound when we closed the window due to thick double glazing. Park directly in front of hotel & they arrange valet parking in nearby garage. Can't imagine a better place to stay in Florence!
Very central location, comfortable lounge, nice decorations, genuinely friendly staff. We were allowed to take breakfast food back to the room (for those of us who couldn't get up in time for breakfast).
Intermittent noise throughout the night from the water pipes kept one of us awake. Otherwise, room was quiet. We were facing the "courtyard" (i.e., not the square).
The rooms from 3rd and 4th flor are excellent, very clean, very roomy, and also brand new. However, rooms from 2nd flor are old, noisy and tinny. I would definitely recommend the hotel, but before making a reservation, make sure you'll stay in 3rd or 4th flor. In addition, if you are traveling with 4 persons, the family suite is way more worth it than the regular 4 person-room and the price is almost the same. The location couldn't be better. The hotel is very clean and cosy. Breakfast is awesome. Very good hotel.
Rooms from second floor are old, noisy and tiny, unlike rooms from 3rd and 4th flor.
Very friendly staff; warm welcome and very helpful. The breakfast staff were particularly impressive. The room (323) was compact but very comfortable, plenty of fresh towels. Location was perfect, very easy to find.
Location right in the heart of the city, everythingis close. This is a quaint hotel with all of the amenities you would expect. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. I would recommendt his hotel should you visit Florence
The breakfast was sensational, the location was brilliant, an easy walk to most attractions. Clean large rooms.
A bit noisy as we could hear the next rooms television very clearly and running water from other rooms too. Some noise from party goers in the wee hours of the morning in the square. But I would certainly stay here again.
