We loved the location, a clean, beautiful room right off the classiest street in Florence. Breakfast was eh, but the dining room had such a charming view that we didn't mind. Overall, awesome value for price.
The rooms were not sound proof and we could hear every cleared throat in the hallway. The staff was extremely efficient but not warm. WiFi was terrible and hard to access.
Love the position, close to everywhere in city center, breakfast is included in the room price. Medieval decoration is very attractive. Love the high ceiling of the room
Park is very expensive,26 euros per day. Staff of night is quite cold face and annoying.
I loved how it was close to so many restaurants and the Metro. the staff was wonderful and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
The breakfast was terrible. But there are so many restaurants/cafes nearby to go to.
Bad wifi connection...
thıs ıs the best hotel ı have ever been!
The location was even more than expected,so central, in the same time quiet during the night, elegant, clean. The breakfast was amazing - with a view -:) One of the best hotel choices I ever made.
Everything was perfect!
Lovely room, enough space, PERFECT localization, helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Could be better Wi-Fi.
From an unassuming entrance, the fourth-floor hotel is very attractive - our room was very nice and the view from the breakfast room is great!
Being so close to the Piazza de la Republica has its drawbacks, though. Even four floors up with the window shut, the noise till the small hours from the street below was quite something! Better to join in!
We arrived on Wednesday afternoon (October29th) and were impressed that the hotel reception area (even though it was on Floor 4) matched the photos on the booking.com website - the corridors with chandeliers, reception rooms, breakfast room, etc. We were then told that our room (203) was on floor 2 and after taking the wrong lift a couple of times, we returned to reception saying that we cannot find floor 2. The man at reception was very rude to my wife and basically shouted at her saying - take the far elevator not that one! Welcome to Hotel Pendini we thought! Our stay got off to a bad start and it got worse! Finally arriving on floor 2 we noticed the lack of nice entrance doors or chandeliers (that the other floors had) - servants quarters maybe! We opened the door to a dark room with a strange air con noise - like an old tv that was stuck! We then tried researching on internet a good restaurant to reserve for the evening - but there was no internet signal. We called the person at reception with our complaints but got no positive feedback - just keep trying. Over the next 3 days/nights we never had a constant internet signal and this made my wife`s work impossible and also reserving restaurants, etc. not possible too! I went up to reception again to complain but an American man there said there is no internet in the whole hotel - he was on the hotel computer by reception. By our 3rd day we really felt disconnected to the real hotel (like we were in an annex on level 2) and never used the nice reception room on floor 4 at all during our stay. Add to this the street noise at night below our window, no internet, no safe box, no fridge in the room really made for an unpleasant stay. My family and I were kept up most of the night on our last night due to a noisy air con machine that we never even switched on. We tried everything to stop it but nothing worked.
Everything was great, staff were good, room was excellent, and the breakfast likewise. Second time we stayed at this hotel, I we get the opportunity to travel to Florence again we will stay again at Hotel Pendini
Everything was very good. No complaints.
Comfort and cleanliness were spot on. The staff looked after us well couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Thank you
The weather had turned cold early but the hotel couldn't turn the heaters on till the start of Nov - our room was cold
Everything. It is a beautifully renovated place. The breakfast room was so charming , it has a great view. Breakfast was also excellent. Good service and great staff. We had a room facing the piazza and that was a treat.
The feeling that you are in Florence. Nothing ultra modern but elegant and charming. A wonderful staff that makes you feel welcome.
Great location within walking distance to main attractions of Florence.
Hotel Pendini is right in the centre of Florence, round the corner from the Duomo and just up the via from the Ponte Veccio. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast very good with lots of choice. Breakfast staff couldn't be more helpful. lovely atmosphere. Would stay here if we go back to Florence.
Our room was on the side along the road. Noise from the Piazza during the night and a man whose evening accordian playing pitch was right underneath our room...he only plays one tune!!!
The staff were excellent & friendly. Breakfast excellent lots of choice and staff to help you. Room was kept very clean evryday with nice clean towels. Hotel near all sights brilliant location,
The room was on the small side but was nice and quiet at night. My sister was in front room which could be noisy at night and in mornings.
I booked a suite for 4 people had to asked to be moved as it was one bedroom and one room had no door. A suite should have a sitting room there was none and no fridge or kettle.
A beautiful hotel with history and charm. Tastefully decorated and location is perfect. The piazza out front is magical at night. Breakfast was satisfying and generous. Staff were friendly and happy to help (we asked for recommendations fro dinner that wouldnt break the budget and were delighted with the suggested eatery, it was so good we went back a second night!)
Weather was unusually warm and the aircon struggled a bit. Only real critisism I could make would be the unusually bad coffee at breakfast (automated machine), very un-Italian! Having said that it was only a minor irritation and we will definitely stay there again in future.
The location of Hotel Pendini is great just off of the Piazza Strozzi. Hotel rooms are comfortable and clean, great sitting area for reading books or relaxing, shower more roomy than most hotels. Five-ten minute easy walk to Uffizi and Ponte Veccio, as well as 5-10 minutes walk to train terminal, so very convenient. Staff was very kind, had early departure at 4:45am, so staff provided box breakfast to take on the road. Very kind.
Room was warm at night, so either open up window or turn on AC. With window open, street traffic continues until about 2am, so difficult to sleep with all the excitement.
The hotel has an exceptional location, being possible to walk to the main tourist sights of Florence. The facilities, comfort and cleanliness are excellent and the decor is very tasteful and charming. The room I got was very large and had a beautiful view. staff is very polite and kind. The breakfast is good.
Great location on the Piazza Republica in a very stylish European hotel. Friendly English speaking staff, pleasant rooms and a great breakfast.
Great location for Florence site seeing, with really great staff
Road cleaning lorry in the morning
Big rooms, wonderful breakfast, great location, helpful staff.
The position of the hotel was very good. The history of the hotel portrayed throughout the hotel was a nice touch.
Room was very noisy - we heard every time someone in adjoining rooms had a shower or used the bathroom - even at 11pm.
Its a very nice hotel with the expected amenities of an upscale hotel. The breakfast was excellent, probably the best we had out of 7 hotels we stayed at during our trip, and the location is excellent located across from high-end shopping and near all major sites.
The staff on arrival was a bit cool compared to other hotels in Italy.
