Location, value for money, staff
Room not enormous but we managed, friend slipped in shower.
Staff were friendly, walking distance to everything and water taxi 2 minutes from the hotel.
Room is small for 4 adults.
location is great, so close to the St. Mark's square but just far enough away to not be right in the hustle and bustle. nice bathroom. easy to find.
no lift, had to walk up 4 flights of stairs after walking all around Venice. small room and mosquitos. not very helpful staff
We had a quadruple room at Pensione Wildner in July. The room was comfortable, clean and nice decor. The view was the best - open the windows and there is the Grand Canal. A very nice hotel, perfectly located not just for the view but a water taxi stop right at the door. Staff helpful, breakfast very nice. All in all I would recommend Pensione Wildner to anyone going to Venice and would definately stay again.
There is no lift - so be prepared to climb the stairs. The view of the Canal is worth it though.
Very clean room, quiet room, comfortable bed, good hot water, good AC.
Flat pillows. No elevator. Really ugly stairway and hallway.
great food at the restaurant, staff spoke great english and were very helpful.there is no lift as this is an old building but the staff were very obliging and carried our heavy suitcases up to the room for us.hotel is in a fantastic location. So good and photogenic in fact that other tourists were taking photos of us eating dinner in the restaurant.the outside was lovely.great views across the water for us too.
we had a back room so our view was a wall not like the front rooms which looked out at the amazing view across the water.however Im sure the price reflected this. Our room was very reasonable.
Location was excellent and the view from our room was magnificent. Absolutely lovely in the evenings to have the cool breeze coming in the windows.
Lack of elevator makes it difficult to get luggage upstairs. Breakfast food was not restocked as it was used, even though breakfast did not finish until 10 am. I did not arrive at breakfast until 9:30 one morning and 9:45 on another (as I had booked a 7am tour on 2 days of my stay). The first morning there was a choice of cereal and yoghurt and the waitress brought me a plate with meat and cheese. On the second morning there was only cereal and yoghurt left. I did ask for some fruit but was told No, I could only have what was left. There wasn't even any bread offered...surprising really as bread seems it be the one thing that is in abundance at every meal.
Welcoming reception Good food and service Hospitable staff
Right off of the Zaccaria water bus stop. Very close to Bridge of Sighs and St. Mark's Square. Staff friendly. We had a triple room which was a bit cosy, but adequate.
Location was great and the service was great.
Nothing really, a lot of steps haha kidding
Our room had the best view of the grand canal, staff was so friendly and helpful would Definately stay here again lovedvit
We had booked 3 nights said they had made a mistake & could only offer us a room for 2 nights, they arranged a night at another hotel for us but we had the inconvenience of packing & moving again, did not offer any discount or meal on the house as compensation.
Two of the front desk people (day and evening) were friendly and very helpful. Our view of the basin was beautiful, our bed very comfortable, and the room furnished nicely. We ate one night at the restaurant -- I had a good pasta, my husband had an excellent sardine appetizer. The location was very central, a very short walk from San Marco.
At the restaurant, to my husband's disappointment, they had "run out" of their draft country beer, and he was forced to accept a bottle of Heineken. It was served (poured flat) in a wine glass. My husband gave up on his preferred beer and had a glass of red wine. We did not receive our wake-up call on our checkout day. A different desk person took our request, and carefully programmed it right away on the phone, however, we were not called. For some, the lack of an elevator might be problematic (after two weeks on a tour, it was for me), although I had booked this hotel knowing that there was no elevator.
Room was comfortable without the facilities of a modern hotel but elegant in its own way. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Brilliant view over the seafront from the room at the front of the hotel.
Nothing really. Everything fine and as expected from an older classical pensione in Venice!
The location was excellent as we could find the hotel soon after getting down from the ferry.Infact we could spot the hotel from the ferry itself. The flowers in the hotel were beautiful. All in all it was a very good experience.
I thought the staff could be more courteous and friendly.
Right by the water in a nice spot, nice view, nice restaurant and staff.
Didn't stay longer :(
We had the canal view so of course it was amazing. 71 steps to get there but great view.
A little dated but heh so is all of Venice.
the stair climing
The best thing about this hotel is the location - handy to everything. Reception staff were very helpful and arranged a great trip to Murano for us. Hotel restaurant gives 10% discount and considering that Venice prices are much higher than elsewhere the discount was appreciated and the food was good with excellent service. All in all a good place to stay in Venice.
Was a bit daunted by the stairs at first as we were on the top floor (4th) but its amazing what you get used to, and the exercise didn't do me any harm anyway.
Location Breakfast although ran short Comfortable and clean room Friendly staff Clean and good linen and towels
Location of the hotel is perfect, overlooking the Grand Canal, close to St Marks Square. Reception staff friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the room not meeting the description on website but hotel sorted this out for us with no problems.
Photo of the Triple Lagoon View Room on website is incorrect, photo is of the Quad Room so careful when booking.
We liked that is was right on the Riva and we could walk and feel the sea air. Very nice staff and breakfast was on the terrace watching people and feeling the sea air. Also the hotel was close to everything.
Proximity to St. Marco Square
No elevator for luggage
Near to city centre. Good staff. Small room. Very good location. acceptable price
Small room. No lobby.
