Pensione Seguso  

great location and charming house.

Firstly, overpriced but then that's Venice and so it's to be expected. Secondly, the staff at the front desk, depending on who receives you can either be extremely helpful or alternatively surly and unapproachable. Thirdly, if you are using the shared bathroom, though clean, you will find the shower head height suitable only for hobbits and I am only of average height myself. However, the most pressing issue of all was the plague of mosquitos that would invade our room at night, keeping us awake and leaving us red and scratching the next day.

Thank you for a memorable stay at your authentic 16th century hotel! We had been given the most beautiful view from our room that will be framed in our memories forever, the staff were kind and helpful and we feel privileged to have stayed with you! Regards from Canada

Friendly staff. Easy to get to from the Airport (by boat) Easy to walk to St. Marks and all the other areas. Large rooms with views of the canals. A character hotel, so fitting with staying in Venice. One of our rooms had an ensuite, the other didn't. It made no difference. We enjoyed our visit and would book again.

We loved the view of the water from our room The location was central to what we wanted to visit. The staff was friendly and professional. The furnishings took us back to the history of the city which was lovely. Nice to hear the water outside at night.

The room had very little room to move around in . The bed was hard mattress. The internet was an on off deal in our room. We were told we could only use it downstairs The breakfast was minimal mostly breads.

It was really easy to find the Pensione Seguso close to the Zattere vaporetto station. Althogh it is situated on the bank of the Canal Grande it is a rather quiet place. The most beautiful thing there is the famous Promenade Zattere where you can go for a walk and enjoy very nice views of Venice. If you decide to have something to eat you'll find a wide range of restaurants and cafes which you can reach on foot. So I really want to recommend everybody who wish to be in the City centre to choose this hotel.

It is a pity that The Pensione Seguso is opened only 10 months in a year and it is closed in December and January. Somebody would say that the breakfast of the Pensione Seguso is very poor. Please, don't forget that the Italians don't eat too much in the morning. The main thing ist a good cup of coffee and a butter toast (there are some other fine things to eat on the tables...). So you can learn something from the italian traditions.

too expensive, no air conditioning-scorching in the summer, wifi only works in lobby, poor breakfast, no overhead fan as advertised

The hotel was beautiful with lots of charm-- antique chandeliers in room, great view of the canal from balconey. Although it was a shared bathroom, we did have a sink in our room, which made it more comfortable. Great breakfast in the morning included. Excellent location. I would recommend this hotel again.

relaxing atmosphere , calm & quite , easy access to academia bridge .Waterbus stop very close by to get to and from the autobus staion for Treviso . Nice restaurants and bars along the waters edge and places of interest within walking distance ..ie Peggy Guggenheim Museum ..On the whole a pleasant stay .. !!

No bath/shower in bedroom however not a major issue as I was a solo Traveller . Having to check out of Room by 11.00 am especially if not leaving till late in the evening . A small fridge would be usefull to keep water and other things especially in hot weather .

Location was really good

For the same price some friends got room with canal view and shower inside the room...not really fair !

The hotel had a wonderful old world feeling & was a little eccentric. The staff were excellent as was the location. We loved it!!!!!!!!!

La Pensione Seguso se trouve très proche de l' Accademia mais en même temps on est en dehors de la foule des touristes. Très facile pour se déplacer avec les vaporetto qui est à la station Zattere,3 minutes à pied.Le décor est début du siècles avec des beaux meubles et objects de l'époque.C'est petit mais familiale.Je trouve que le prix en très haute saison est trop cher pour ce que c'est. Très romantique, un peux brouillant à cause du passage des bateaux sur le canal en face.
