Nice staff. Helpful when figuring out where to go in the city and how to get there
The bathroom was much more public than expecting. Could hear the room next to me soaring and getting sick at night. Although there is wifi it wasn't strong and only in the small lobby.
Nice owner, nice staff. Location is not in the core of avenise but that was fine with us.
Matresses need serious updating. My wife's back hurted after. One lamp once turned actually had sparks which is a fire hazard. Told the owner who said he would address it. The washroom had a smelling problem which seemed to be located in pur particular room. We were told it was the low water, but problem seemed specific to our location only.
Fabulous location and it certainly had a unique charm.
Facilities were basic - no TVs or radios in the room, or WiFi, phones or even ensuite bathroom.
Location was excellent and the staff were very helpful. Charming place to stay and close to all attractions.
Service was excellent. Attentive
Bread was stale and awful. Plain croissant would be appreciated with no sugar and no marmalade in the centre. People prefere to put their own jams on. Sliced Meat is very ordinary .
Staff very helpful and attentive would certainly recommend the Saguso and stay again
The outstanding view obviously, the old world style of decor and the exceptionally helpful staff.
The lack of air conditioning during high summer.
We had a room on the canal, and, despite some noise early in the morning, it was a wonderful location. We had stayed in the same location on a higher floor 22 years ago on our honeymoon.
We booked late and had a shared bathroom. Okay for the toilet, but we skipped the tub/shower the next morning. We were only there for one night.
Service, ambiance, always (mostly) lovely fellow guests. Peaceful.
Dreadful yelling child in next room(one night only). It was 2am before she calmed down but I do not blame the Seguso!!Earplugs purchase next day solved this. I miss their evening meal.
Proximity to cruise ship and water taxi. Great place to stay to get around the city . The staff were very freindly and accomadating
I didnt remember his name but the indian descend staff is really friendly and accomodating to our requests. The hotel decor and ambience feels authentic and not tacky. The location in nice quiet area, off from the busy and noisy tourist area. It is really romantic and hauntingly beautiful night. The hotel itself cater to a more mature and refined clientel not just backpacker so it does not feel touristy or busy with people getting in and out. Hope it will stay that way.
The wifi should really work on all rooms and floors.. not just on ground floor near the reception. Breakfast spread could be more variety of food and featuring real venice region food. Should offer dinner in the nice dining room. Staff or reception could offer more information on venice.. ita sights and where to go or buy stuffs.. or evem just a simple map of venice. Flatscreen tv set for those who wants to lounge in the room after long day out. Mini bar really.. too far to get out or buy drinks if you are already back in hotel. Basic room such as food or drinks. If could order food or drinks in the dining. Small things really..
Good and nice and calm location all major sight seeing point in walking distance
Related to the price the brake fast was too simple. Against moscitos I recommend moscito nets for the window
Cheap Good Location Nice Views
Breakfast Facilities Comfort
I liked everything about this sweet little hotel. It was intimate with beautiful views of the canal - clem and very comfortable. Well located within easy walk to the vaporetto.
Location. The place is very cozy, nice antique decoration.
Great ambiance. Fantastic location. Great view.
The toilet in the shared bathroom has not been cleaned for 3 consecutive days. Our room was very run down. A little bit of paint would do wonders. The breakfast is pitiful. The tea was lukewarm, the yoghurt so cheap it tasted like water mixed with yoghurt. The jam and the butter were of the cheapest version. A little bit more effort would make all the difference. Or simply do not offer breakfast.
Both the ambience and the location felt very much the essence of Venice. Any future visits would include staying at Seguso without hesitation.
It was a pleasure to stay at the Seguso after 43 years and find it refreshingly unchanged save for the usual Euro risk-averse measures that have since crept in. An old established and dignified family business. First class
Nothing specific but it is worth noting that if you require en suite bath you should so request as not all the rooms have it. But our room had a wonderful balcony view to the Guidecca to compensate.
great building, close to everything, friendly staff
The sea view room is really nice n very traditional.
The price is quite high
Being so close to the canal with the sounds of lapping waves and boat traffic. The easy access to most of Venice. The friendly and attentive staff. We had stayed at the Seguso 20 years ago and were pleased that the rooms and public areas were spruced up and the breakfast improved.
