Small, friendly hotel. Well situated for the town and its many restaurants and sites which are only a short walk away. Also adjacent to the gondola to the beach. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The sound proofing between the rooms could be better. We were in room 4 and our neighbours talked quite loudly and kept us awake one night. That said I complained politely and the noise stopped immediately so it was not a problem.

It was the best hotel experience that my wife and I had thus far in our lives. Everything about our stay was well thought through and organized for our pleasure, comfort and convenience. The staff really went out of their way to meet our needs and wants, and this is special. The location is perfect, just outside the busy nightlife area so it's quite at night but close to the fun. It also happens to be right next to both the bus terminal and cable car... Like I said, the location is perfect. And if you get a room with a sea view and balcony like we did, then you will enjoy a magnificent and romantic view. Oh and the breakfast is not just a pastry and some coffee, like some other places. For breakfast you get a lovely assortment of meats and cheeses, eggs (scrambled or boiled) and pancetta (Italian bacon), choices of breads, croissants, fresh tomatoes, olives, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, juices, tea, mineral water, coffee, cappuccino, espresso..... And there is a lovely covered and uncovered courtyard where you can enjoy tea time everyday which is also included (tea and pastries). To summarize, we had a wonderful experience. Excellent hotel in every way-location ideal ;staff friendly,helpful and so professional;lovely view from the very clean and comfortable bedroom;delicious breakfast;pretty garden and lovely extra touches such as complimentary tea/coffee and cakes every afternoon! Would happily go back and would recommend Svizzera to anyone visiting Taormina.

Being on the 3rd floor an elevator would be good!

We had wonderful rooms with amenable staff, a lovely environment with a cozy bar and good breakfast. Traveling through Sicily, this was on of our favorite stays.

Staff were very helpful, and the room was great and extremely clean. Lovely breakfast served overlooking the ocean from the hilltop. We even had an outside balcony with table and chairs, for that extra bit of space, as well as somewhere to put some of our handwashed clothes. Great to have access to a computer for public use. Also great location, as it was close to the bus terminal, the cable car that took you to the beach, and just at the begining of all the wonderful shops and restaurants.

Our room had very thin walls, as we could hear those in the adjoining room, and our room may have been next to their laundry, as we often heard lots of water in the pipes in the morning.

The hotel Penzione Svizzera was in a great location and was reasonably priced. The breakfast was really good. The rooms were not fancy, but they were very clean, and some have a very nice view of the sea. The very best aspect of this hotel are the owner and the concierge. They were very helpful and absolutely wonderful!!!!! Made you feel like family! I definitely recommend this hotel if you wish to stay in the city of Taormina.

Our stay at La Pensione Svizzera was very pleasurable due to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. From the reception staff to the lady that served us our morning coffee, the night porter, the cleaning ladies, every member of staff were a delight to meet and they couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel was kept to a very high standard of cleanliness and was warmly decorated creating a relaxed atmosphere. Our room was of standard size but was well laid out and attended to on a daily basis. The only note of caution I would give is, if your travelling by car make sure to book your parking spot as parking in Toarmina in non-existent.

The staff and location were fantastic! The hotel is within walking distance to everything in Taormina. It was excellent value for money.
