Score from 440 reviews Excellent 8.7/10
The decor, especially the lighting fixtures which were genuine Mursno Venetian glass. The mattress was firm. The separate shower - I have had knee replacements and getting in and out of tubs is difficult. The staff especially Marco at the front desk was extremely patient, courteous and knowledgeable. The soft generous sized bath towels were wonderful. The breakfast is excellent.
The soaps should be better quality as it is a boutique hotel. Better marking of the vaporetto stop.
Hotel was very clean in a great location. I complained about the size of my room and it was dealt with very quickly and I was given another. The lady in the breakfast room was lovely.
Beware of getting room 211. It is very narrow and because of the hotels style (which is great in larger rooms) is quite oppressive. I was disappointed when I was given this room.
This hotel is four years old but in a 200 years old building. The rooms were very big . The tea sent to the room was delicious .
Cleanliness not upto the mark. Poor wifi connectivity. No view whereas we had booked room with garden view
We have been travelling for 5 weeks and we are placing this hotel as number one on top of the list for its location ,friendly and helpful staff, breakfast service, cleanliness and the room on the canal two levels with a balcony. We could not have asked for anything better by booking on line.
Great location, beautiful room, very friendly and competent staff. Beautiful hotel with relaxing no fuss, low key feel.
Don't expect fresh juice for breakfast but do ask for real espresso coffee if you find the coffee machine stuff disappointing.
The carpet in the room was old, not very clean and very smelly. We had to open the windows everytime we came into the room and the air conditioning was not working. For breakfast the was served only instant coffee, that tasted not very good. The hotel has a good potential, but needs to have the carpets changed or replaced with wooden floor, to avoid the problem with the very unpleasant smell. We were not able to use wi-fi at all.
Incredible room, views of the canal, big TV with language options on some channels. Huge bathroom, wonderful building with courtyard that was beautiful. Hotel staff was terrific and someone there always spoke good English.
Could not seem to get AC to turn on.
Out of the front door straight into the Grand Canal, mind your step!
Could have been better advised ion how to get to the hotel from the Airport. Take a private taxi to the front door, it's a trek through the back streets from the Public ferry that drops you off at the nearest point. However with suitcases in tow not much fun especially in the summer!
The room was lovely decorated, and the basic needs were taken care of. Close to waterbus for intown travel. Food is fresh, and good quality.
The aircon did not work well, until we took the wood covering box off, and this seemed to be better.
Location is just near vaporetto stop which means you can easily get here from airport/bus station/train station. It's 15min walk from S Marco and 5 min from Pont le Rialto. The personnel of the hotel seemed to be really helpful solving problems that we had.
As we arrived late at night we were given a wrong room which was on the ground floor with all the facilities for disabled people which made toilet/bathroom really hard to use for us (tall toilet, smaller space in the shower room etc.) with a view on the garden that was really noisy and we couldn't open the window. After we complanied we were given a better room on the 4th floor with a nice view. We were said that it's a better grade of the room however given the information on the website and our expectations from 4 star hotel, it was just what we imagined to be a classic double room. But maybe we were wrong and it was actually deluxe. Then I wouldn't recommend classic. WiFi was really slow on the first night and then broke down completely. Even though they fixed it on the day of our check out, I think they generally have troubles with Internet and it's not easy to use in your room.
Location great next to water bus. Easy walk to every part. Got an upgrade suite. Have stayed in many cities, is up there for value for money
Poor wi-fi can ruin total experience
Excellent location. Nice, large rooms, very heigh, comfortable beds.
Our shower had no door, creating a small lake in the bathroom. Breakfast was not up to par with the four stars.
Good Location .Very Nice hotel
Reception staff exceptionally helpful. Location fantastic and amazing building.
Breakfast. After 10am there were scraps left and the staff were unhelpful and pretty rude. We were finishing our tea 10 minutes before breakfast was due to finish and the lady switched the lights off while we were sitting there. I've stayed here several times and this is the only problem with the hotel.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. About a 20 min walk to st mark square. Right on a vapretto (water bus) stop, but still quiet. A small garden area and seating. Breakfast was good (need to ask for the fresh cappuccino). Room was great-we were upgraded and had lift bathroom and a balcony overlooking the garden.
Everything was really great. It is more of a boutique so when we were late out of the room one day, it did not get serviced.
Location + wifi + price + stif Ever thing close from hotal Clean room Good breakfast
I like every thing in hotal
The hotel is wonderful. Next to shopping area. And private tax can berth infront of the hotel.the stuff are friendly and helpful.
WIFI signal is poor.
Murano glass tour from the hotel was excelllent..
The evening cruise info was not really forthcoming + would have loved to have done that.
firstly, we were lucky enough to be put in room 201 with 30 ft ceilings, chandelier fit for a castle and balcony over the canal. Secondly, the fact that anyone could get a room this good and located at a valpareto stop for under $300 in the prime of summer is mind blowing. Good breakfast, can't go wrong... Wifi a little lame, but proved to be no worse than any other hotel on our Italy trip. You'll be very happy here.
Loved how the staff guessed your needs and offered a service without you having to ask for it. We would stay here again.
Located next to the Vaporetto stop Ca D'or. The Venetian furnishings. The views.
The room had small things in need of fixing such as the broken toilet seat, cracked mirror and blown light globes. The carpet under the bed hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner for a long time. We had to change room after noticing the first room had exposed wiring. I bring this up not because it spoilt our stay (it really wasn't a big deal), but because other travelers have noted similar things. Bottom line - a four star hotel of this calibre reallyshouldn't have these kinds of issues.
Outstanding location Beautiful lobby Room wonderful character
The worst in room wifi!
Beautiful rooms. Very nice garden. Next to busstop and not far away from the railway station. Extra service like being taken to Murano by taxi. Big breakfast. Helpful staff.
very minor: W-Lan did not function all the time.
quite central location soyamilk
breakfast qualuty bred was on sunday not fresh internet in the room very slow or nor possible
We are a family with two kids, we bought a 24 hour boat ticket but we didn't need it. This hotel has a perfect location with walking distance to all common places. And the location just next to the boat stop Ca' Dor made it so easy. Very beautiful hotel. We highly recommend this.
