We really loved the warm welcome from Uta and Francesco, quite overwhelming! Nice little upgrade to the junior suite which overlooked the quiet rear courtyard. We were offered eating suggestions for Bergamo and a little map, umbrella incase etc. Just so helpful in everyway The location of the hotel was ideal walking distance to city alta .Fantastic views and nice little bars/restaurants.

We liked the position of the hotel, the peace and the breakfasts! But, most of all we were very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.Due to snow on our day of departure there was a problem getting to the airport and concern about the possibility of cancelled flights. Uta - thank you once again for your help and advice.

The location was good - near the walking streets. The staff was excellent - made us feel very welcome and guided us to the best attractions during our short stay in the city. The hotel went out of the way to lay out a full buffet breakfast for us at 6 am for our early morning departure (usually their breakfast starts later).

The room and bathroom where we stayed were too colourful for our liking.

For Bergamo, the best choice. Excellent breakfast.

Staff gave us a really warm welcome, they were very helpful. I had a feeling like they really were glad to see us at their hotel. We also liked our room, it was very stylish and modern. And of course amazing breakfast: there was such a great choice (different cheeses, hams, salted salmon, fruits, freshly squeezed juices, fruit pies, chocolate mousse, caramel cream, panna cotta...) and everything was absolutely delicious.

A shower system was a little bit too complicated for me.

Simply the best hotel of our trip. Wonderful and warm staff. Room was perfect. Loved the shower, the room layout, the lighting, and the quiet. Decor is contemporary, yet warm and inviting. Great breakfast!

We had a fantastic weekend break in Hotel Petronilla. We were going to Monza F1 and chose to stay in Bergamo rather than Milan itself - it was the right choice! It is a gorgeous town, with wonderful character and incredible views. We were warmly greeted at Petronilla on our arrival and both restaurants recommended to us were fantastic. The room was spacious, stylish and clean. Unlike many Italian hotels, the breakfast was substantial and varied, and it was warm enough to eat outside in the delightful courtyard. We would certainly recommend both Bergamo and Petronilla to anyone.

It was in the new part of the town centre so it was a bit of a hike up to the old part - but we knew that before we booked and so it was not a problem.
