perfect location very friendly and helpful staff great living room area for guests to relax great value for money
Piccolo Hotel is located in an excellent location close to the town center. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is cozy and comfortable.
The location was great, the staff were helpful, the rooms were clean...overall a good experience.
The beds were pretty uncomfortable and the shower head wouldn't stay in place
The staff was friendly and helpful. The Gentleman told me of free parking!!
A bit noisey, but that is what one expects in the city center.
The staff and facility are excellent. We had room 33 with a great Tuscan view.
Great Place - our room was over a main street - yes, you could hear people during the night - but we enjoyed hearing the noise and people of the city.
Better directions or a map to find the hotel would be helpful.
We had no idea that we would have to park blocks away and pull our luggage up a big hill, over cobblestones and then thru Siena
Funky ode to chocolate! I'm staying at their wine cousin next time i think. Open your mind and have a great time. You will need a car!
Leaving the town.
Central position. Staff tried to be helpful, one even managed to get the lights back on in the lounge. They also went to the trouble of posting me a scarf which I had left behind.
Very noisy at night until 3am. Shower room with broken shower door and no plug in the basin (as European hotels of 40 years ago).Lights in lounge turned off automatically at 9.30pm.Go to a cafe for breakfast, what is on offer is stale cold frittata and bad machine coffee.
location, cost, cleanliness, size
Very close to everything. Loved Siene
Felt like a hostel; not a good value for the money. Very noisy location
Close to Piazza del Campo and main shopping streets in centre of town. Easy to get a 10Euro taxi from train station to Hotel door
The lift was rather old, but it worked
The location can't be beat! I spent 8 weeks in siena, as a student, and for the price it is absolutely impossible to find better.
Too expensive compare to the service given. Incredibly loud at night, old bathrooms breakfast not included.
A family run business that takes good care of their guests. The plaza del Campo is 2 short blocks from the hotel and an easy walk to the Duomo, museums and shops. narrow cobblestone streets and beautiful ancient buildings.
It can be noisy at night sometimes, so bring earplugs if you are light sleeper.
In old Siena!Everything in walking distance
noises from from the street kept us awake. automatic hall lighting only worked going to the room. we left the room thru dark hallways
Location and ease of access
Noice and room amenities
Good location. Breakfast was included.
I did not like that we were put in a room without air conditioning and that was noisy on the street level after we had requested a "quiet" room. The staff did not seem anxious to please us as we only had one night booked and they had already charged our credit card. They did finally offer us a room in the main hotel that did have central hotel A/C. This was a nice room and breakfast was included. Also, they did not have any secure safe or area that was monitored to leave luggage or valuables.
Very near the Piazza del Campo so have to forgive quite a bit in an expensive city.
Little things that should have been better regardless of number of stars: no tumblers in bathroom, given glass wine glasses when requesting tumblers (very unsafe); light in corridor not working and had to locate room number with own torch; not told where breakfast was (in fact was out in the street and then into a nearby hotel); wifi very unreliable; air conditioning (a plug-in machine) didn't work; lift was very slow, you had to keep your finger on the button, like a disabled lift; we asked for twin beds but the second bed was for a child with no headboard, bedside table, light etc, we managed with the double bed but the room was cramped with the extra, unusable bed; coffee machine broke down at breakfast and very poor quality drinks.
We decided to stay in Sienna on a whim, last minute. So glad we did! Perfect location, great helpful staff, perfect stay for the night! Would definately stay again. Breakfast is offered next door and was excellent!
The hotel is in a excellent location to all of the town sites. As per it star rating it is a budget hotel of a high standard & if you are looking for a room to sleep in this is perfect. The hosts are outstanding, speak good English and are very helpful in any request for information
No fridge in the room Cotton towels
Centrally located and very convenient
Furniture in rooms was a bit old and wifi not working properly
We have been eating out for weeks and took the opportunity to buy food (not needing cooking) and eat at the upstairs lounge/dinning table. When we asked if this was ok the lovely young lady said sure! Anything you want to do. She gave us crockery, cutlery, glasses and condiments. She insisted that she would wash up everything, my wife and I had a memorable dinner and the staff made the entire stay most enjoyable. Room was great and spacious with no complaints from us. Great stay
Had a fantastic time in Siena, hotel was perfect...perfect location and staff who were always willing to help especially Lucrezia and her cute little doggie "Chanel" who I hope are doing well. Hated leaving the place but will definitely be back.
