Hotel Piccolo Lido  

Staying at the Piccolo Lido Hotel was a fine experience. My husband an I plus a close friend enjoyed our stay at this fine, little hotel so close to both the beach and the two Bordigheras - the coastal tourist area, and the medieval old city on the hill... Just lovely!

The staff were so friendly and the cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional. I can't wait to come back again.

The beds were very hard and the pillows also. I would like a softer pillow option if possible.

Thr location was very nice. The hotel sits at one end of a long promenade. The hotel price included breakfast which was not excellent, but for 3 star hotel - ok. The tables for breakfast is well placed right across from a public beach and we were able to injoy the seaview. There is small free public parking (8-10 cars) next to the hotel. And we were lacky left our car there overnight. If not, the hotel has paid parking and there are big pay parking. We 2 times had dinner and it were better than breakfast with 4-cours menu 24 Euro. The place is very convinion for trips to France (Menton, Nice, Monaco) and San-Remo. The room is clean, modern, and well decorated, with flat screen tv with hundreds of channels. The staff at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful.

Hotel doesn`t have own beach. But opposite hotel there is public beach.

Piccolo is situated near the centre of Bordighera, on the seafront, the location is very convenient. If you are travelling by car you can face with a problem of parking, but in high season it's a problem everywhere near the sea and finally it's possible to find the place. Not far from San Remo. The staff is nice.

If you come at breakfast after 9, the part of food you won't see, for example croissant, cheese or ham could be finished, but nobody brought fresh.

Excellent location of the hotel right across the beach, and with a room with sea view you face a non-traffic road (Lungomare Argentina, 2km nice walk along the sea) with a view directly to the beach and the sea. Good breakfast buffet with lots of choices. We did not eat in the restaurant of the hotel, so we cannot give any kind of recommendation, however, the hotel is located very close to the old town of Bordighera (5 minutes walk uphill) with many good restaurants. And the hotel is also close to the other parts of Bordighera with lost of shops. Also the Ligurian mountains are close with many nice old towns and villages to visit.

There are only two points to mention: luckily we reserved a garage place for our car in advance, otherwise it would have been very very difficult to find a free parking spot close to the hotel, because of the public beach and the crowd during the high season in August. This way it was very convenient also to make a few visits to the Ligurian mountains (see above) and easy to get back to the hotel and no need to search for a parking lot. The garage is very small, so for a big car there might be problems to get it in the slots. There was very loud music on the beach opposite the hotel, but luckily only on one evening/night, otherwise it was very silent late evening.

The most valuable staff was Andrea (the hotel owner). If he was not there it would be spoiled vacation. Andrea is very helpful with all kind of questions and tasks. The hotel location is excellent! Visit Terrassa pizzeria (close to Billa supermarket)! There is excellent pizza and ravioli with rabbit.

Not all staff speaks English. Limited fruitts in July almost apples (how come in Italy)? Take in mind some rooms without balcony what is not convinient for sea resort hotel. Rooms 112, 114 are next to reception and the hotel restaurant. There is noisy within the day.

Location are exelent, staff was friently and we may return. The hotel can be easyly reached by train. You do not need a car there. Fly to Nice, take the train to the hotel and relax.

Parking can be difficult, but we were lucky with our street parking and did not have to move the the car during our stay.

Our room was extremely spacious and newly renovated. What made it very special however, was the adjoining balcony and the incredible views over the ocean. I even liked the window in our bathroom which meant that we had a sea view while in the shower!

We were visiting for a wedding and I desperately needed an iron to get the creases out of my dress and my boyfriend's shirt. Unfortunately the hotel didn't have one, so we had to make due with the room's travel kettle to try and steam them out.

Everything. Good value for money. Perfect location (you don't nèed to cross the railway line to get to the sea). Clean. Very very helpful staff!

Only 6 sun beds on the terrace.

Great on the beach setting with the Med within 50 feet. Center of Bordighera a short walk. Very clean. A few nice touches like Spumanti being served outside on the terrace late afternoon. Management was competent and friendly. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but others at the hotel said it was very good. Good value. Highly recommended.

Location is excellent. Parking is handy. Lovely room with a great sea view. Very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Our second visit- definitely not our last!

Great location, right on the beach and near the Old Town. Spacious room, good welcome.

Mattress on the bed was very hard. At breakfast, bacon was not renewed when finished.

Die Lage am Meer direkt an der Strandpromenade.

Wir waren in der Vorsaison dort, da gab es noch keine Liegen auf der Dachterrasse.Der Frühstücksraum im Keller hatte Campingplatzatmosphäre. Das Frühstück war mäßig. Die Putzfrauen sehr unwillig uns 2 Bettlaken und 2 Decken anstatt einer durchgehenden aufs Bett zu machen.

La camera. Abbiamo sentito durante la notte un rumore di motorino che lo staff a confermato. La Direzione non é stata in grado di rapportarsi con il cliente. C/o questa struttura non desideriamo in futuro pernottare.

Lo staff dell'Hotel e' preparatissimo. Il titolare disponibilissimo alle esigenze dei clienti. Veramente una piacevolissima sorpresa. Il prossimo viaggio dalle parti di Bordighera prevederà senza dubbio il soggiorno presso l'Hotel Piccolo Lido

È perfetto quindi nessuna nota a riguardo
