Everything. The picturesque surroundings of Tuscany and San Gimignano. We have greatly enjoyed and rested.

We would loved to have the opportunity to enjoy dinners of local produce or at least have the opportunity to have the kitchen to prepare ourselves.

Everything - it is difficult to express in ratings how impressed we were with the amazing house, pool, view surrounding area etc. The best thing about this accommodation was the warm welcome and assistance with everything from dealing with the medical system in italy to getting groceries. We never wanted to leave and have every intention of returning as soon as possible.

That we had to leave :(

We liked the fact that it was in a quiet location with fabulous views. I am sure if the weather had been better, we would have been able to make more of the outdoor facilities.

The sorter track upto the house was not marked from the main road and even latitude and longitude settings did not take us to the property. The longer track was pretty tortuous. As it was cold, we didn't use pool and outside facilities and therefore felt it was overpriced.

The hotel is located in a farm about 1 km away from the road leading to San Gimignano. It wasn't on the GPS but on the road there is a signed wine tasting of Pietra Fitta and they helped us to get to the farm (also taste the wine there, we really liked it), so get there for the first time on daylight. The staff were friendly and helped us with all we needed. The room and farm have great view on the valley under San Gimignano and are located next to vineyards and olive groves. The breakfast was very good also there is a free parking and good wifi.

I liked the location and the view. Folks were friendly, the ambience was spectacular.

Well, the bed wasn't the sturdiest and there is the small matter of the remote farmhouse not having food in the evening, which can be a bit of a hassle if you go on day trips and return late. Also, it *is* hard to find and the dirt road there is quite long and in poor shape. If you don't have a car, don't go here, honestly.

    Everything

The heat due to the high temperatures during my stay there. The fact that supper wasn't available on the spot or next door (but this was agreed upon).

This country house is an excellent place to stay in when visiting Toscany! It is perfect for day trips, 40 min drive to Siena, 45 min to Florence, 60 min to Lucca and Pisa. Don't worry about the the times, you enjoy the Toscany view while you driving... You can go out in the morning, see the beautiful Toscany and come back in the afternoon for a swim and a rest. In the evening we went to resturants in San Gimignano that Luciano, the manager, recommended. It is only 3KM from the house! He also gave us maps and tips to our day trips. The room was excellent!!! clean, quiet, amazing view, great shower, good AC (important in August). The pool is magnificent... We will definitely come back!!!

Try to get there in the day because it is not easy to find... Put in your GPS "Localita Ponte Mattoni 53037, San Gimignano" or Latitude N43.45943 Longitude E11.06797. Go to this point a go up in the dirt road until you see the house.

It was idyllic. The peace and solitude was awesome and the staff were so pleasant. Would definitely return time and again. The views from the pool overlooking the towers of San Gimignano on the next bill were breathtaking.

The driveway but everything else made up for that!

Perfect location with an amazing view on San Gimignano (especially from the swimming pool). Luciano, owner, was very nice and helpful. The accomodation is in tuscany style, room was spacious with a nice view. It is just five minutes far from San Gimignano by car which is a lovely little town.I will definitely recommend this place and am intending to come back.

    None.

Amazing view over the Tuscan hills and beautiful San Gimignano!! The pool was beautiful and clean. The caretakers very helpful and nice. A very relaxing and peaceful place. We visited San Gimignano, Siena and Volterra with this hotel as a base.

The wifi didn't work from the rooms, nor the pool area, had to sit in the living room area, which they could have furnished nicer.
