Hotel Piroscafo  

The location, on the harbour-side and on the edge of the main square, is perfect for the foot-sore traveller. You are close to everything that counts - restaurants/cafes/shopping/transport (bus,ferry,taxi). All of the staff are really helpful and ready to assist travellers and the breakfast is more than adequate.

Stairs. There is a lift to level one only, so beware if you have heavy bags or lack mobility.

Beautiful view over old port - one of nicest hotel terraces I've ever had! Nice breakfast and chance to sit on the hotel terrace outside for a cup of tea. Liked the hotel mini library and chance to go on the shared roof terrace as well. Great location in the town and by the lake.

I could not get the WiFi to work despite having the log on details, but decided not to use it any way.

The WiFi is not good and you keep getting knocked off. Then you have to start set up all over again...I just gave up.

We thought the hotel was excellently maintained, very comfortable, bathroom had a Bidi which we thought was great and not expected in a 3star hotel, the outlook from our balconey was great and very relaxing. We would most certanly go back and stay there again, the staff were very helpful and accomidating.

It was a shame no lunches were avaliable, but there many cafe's near by.

Only problem they need to have a little fridge in the room, like many other hotels, especially when its very hot outside

Stayed here with my boyfriend for five nights, fabulous location! Lovely hotel with nice, friendly staff. Room was basic but spacious, perfect in my opinion! Nicely priced hotel in prime location.

Great location, good big room

Excellent location in the centre of town set back from the harbour. Well appointed, good sized bedroom with good bathroom. Good breakfast.

Could not connect to the hotel WiFi system with my Apple iPod touch but had no problems at other establishments. The bed mattress was firm as were the pillows both of which did not make for a comfortable sleep. Management made sympathetic noises when given a problem but did not resolve them, in specific, the above WiFi problem and a table lamp that was not working.

Well positioned in the centre of Desenzano nice hotel with a sun terrace overlooking the old harbour.I Use it for business attanding trade fairs in vicenzia because of the good rail connections it has.Would also be good if you wanted to visit venice as a day trip 90 minutes away by rail, mantua and cremona abour 60 minutes.not so good if you want to spend the week exploring the lake as it is a one end of it and it takes a long time 4 hours one end to the other and 4 hours back

Good value for the price the hotel gets top marks.I Suppose a fridge in the room would be good

Good location

The mattresses are exteremely hard which meant my wife could hardly sleep for the entire trip. The shower area is so comically small that when you shower it feels like the shower curtain is trying to strangle you.

Die Lage ist einfach super! Gleich am kleinen Hafen und mitten im Zentrum! Die Zimmern sind groß genug und sehr sauber. Frühstuck war sehr ausreichend, mit leckerem Salami und Käse! Uns hat unser Aufenthalt im Hotel sehr gefallen.
